We had such a wonderful stay! The place easily accommodated our entire family during our Polar Express trip and early Thanksgiving dinner. The kids each had their own room for naps, which was a lifesaver, and everyone had a comfortable bed to sleep in. The fully equipped kitchen made cooking so easy, and the playhouse was a huge hit with the little ones!We also really appreciated having access to the garage—it made unloading and loading so convenient.The only small suggestion we have to make this place absolutely perfect would be updating the bedding and pillows. Some fresh, cozier sets would make the beds feel even warmer and more inviting.Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely come back!

This house was giant and had great conversation areas. We were here with extended family we don't often see and it was a great background for catching up. It is far from any stores so be prepared to come prepared. People liked the mattresses but not the pillows, my pillow seemed fine. I wish we could have stayed longer there are some fun outdoor spaces that we didn't get to enjoy. Everything in the kitchen worked well. We didn't cook any meals so I'm not as sure what they had and what they didn't as far as cooking utensils, pans etc..

Amazing!

This beautiful home was perfect for our big family vacation! We skied in Purgatory and spent time in Durango. Perfect location and there was plenty of room for all of us ranging from 4 months to 65 years old! The basement was awesome for the kids and the kitchen had everything we needed. Can’t wait to come back next year!

Wonderful ski vacation home!

This house was absolutely wonderful! Close enough to Purgatory and had so much room. We loved that we had plenty of room and amenities to help in our stay The home owners were easy to work with and we definitely will try to revisit this house! Thanks for the hospitality!

Amazing Place to Stay

I would definitely stay here again. Enough beds and bathrooms for all 17 of us. Everything you could possibly need was provided for us. Well stocked kitchen!! The kids enjoyed the yard and played outside in the playhouse and on the swings. The toys and games in the basement were a plus!! We loved playing ping pong!!

Great house for big gatherings!

Was visiting the area for a sad event, and it was so comforting to have a place that was clean and well-stocked to go. Really grateful for this host for letting us use their beautiful home.

Beautiful family stay, spacious, spectacular views, great sleep!

As one of the worn out matriarchs of this group of 20+, my favorite experience was the jetted tub in the master suite! It's HUGE and wonderful! The open kitchen and spacious layout allowed our group to spread out and come together. Had everything we needed. Enjoyed the monster grill~nice firepower! The patio and huge yard was great for the little kids to run off all their energy while the adults relaxed. Plenty of screens for young and old; the teenagers and young adults loved the gameroom~an excellent bonus for all. Communication was great and we kept it simple. 5 star stay at a beautiful, spacious sturdy home with quality furniture, bedding and thoughtful appointments. Well organized and not cluttered.

Family Fun

We had a lot of family coming and going. There was space for all of us. The house was located close to a lot of fun activities that kept us all entertained. We enjoyed being able to come back to the house and relax in between all of our adventures.

Clean accommodations between Durango and Mesa Verde

My sister and I came with our families. We came with babies and young children. The house was very comfy and offered places to lounge and play games and be together. It's a short 20+ min drive into Durango and 30+ min drive over to Mesa Verde. The hosts have been quick to respond regarding lost items. Loved their messages all over the house explaining the expectations written in a light hearted and fun manner. We loved our visit to this part of the country. Thank you!!!

Great place

We got this place because of the price and space. It delivered. We had plenty of space and it was well worth the value. I would even call it a deal! The owners were prompt with any questions. It is a good location to do Durango, Mesa Verade, Silverton. The one day it snowed, some of our party went south to avoid it and enjoyed the day in near by Aztec. Would definitely stay here again as we loved the area and are already trying to figure out when we can come back.

My husband grew up in the area and graduated from Durango High School. We both attended Fort Lewis College in Durango. We are using the property as a VRBO to accommodate a move to Utah to attend graduate school. The above picture is a few of our kids in a kiva at Spruce Tree House in Mesa Verde National Park.

We custom built our home here in 2005 to accommodate our 12 kids and be near family.

We have loved having a quiet, spacious yard with room to garden, ride the four-wheeler and go-kart, play on the swings, and have bonfires while enjoying the stars every summer. Sunrises and sunsets have been some of our favorite times to enjoy as a family.
