When we got to the cabin we were unable to lock and there was no information…we contacted the host and he had to give us the codeWe signed up for a cabin for three people would be able to sleep and was surprised that the futon did not have have sheets or blanketsI contacted the host and he kept arguing that they were in the cabin…which they were notOn the second day he said that we would not be charged for this and later he said that he had to charge us for the two daysI am not one to complain and I have never made this type of review but we felt that anyone who was interested in the cabin should know how our vacation went

We never stayed there. We had a major Watermain leak at our house (3) days before our trip and we could NEVER talk to a Human to figure out whether we could change the dates or not. We are not too savvy when it comes to internet communications. And Because of your cancel policies we lost our Money, Thank you very much.

We came to a mess.

My wife and I arrived at the sight to celebrate our honeymoon. We open the door and it was filthy. No one had come cleaned the place before our arrival. The sheets were covered in sand. The couch was covered in sand. The toilet was messy. The fridge had left over food from the previous stay. And the floor had a sticky drip pile all over. It was heartbreaking to bring my newly wed wife there. We called and they came to clean it up. The cleaning up job was quick and looked quick. It ruined our stay. They didnt apologize or do anything to make up for there awful service.

Unprepared and unmaintained

I actually hadn’t heard a single word from the property manager after booking months in advance. It was a week before my stay so I reached out to see if I could get check in information and specifically stated my check in date. I got a quip/almost rude short reply that only said that I would get checkin information on the morning of my check in. The day I was supposed to check in I still had not heard anything. I asked if the room would be ready and he had completely missed that I was checking in. The room was not ready and I had to wait for someone to clean it for over an hour. Once we got inside there were mountains of dust bunnies all over the floor. The bed is just a folded out rollaway bed. Least comfortable sleep ever. The parking lot is just a gravel yard with weeds everywhere! Cheap stay, but have low expectations and you might feel okay about it.

Cute but lacking

This needed some TLC. I’m not sure if it’s just because of the end of the season or what, but there was no soap for the shower, missing lightbulbs, and filthy windows. There was a coffee pot, but no filters or coffee. It’s not a hotel but it is inconvenient to have to shop for soap and coffee for only two nights. Other than that it was great! Great location and comfortable bed. I will go back with fingers crossed in hope of some TLC for the cabins.

Cabin Rental Bear Lake Ut

Bed was very small and uncomfortable. Tv and internet did not work. Customers from custard shop park in the way of cabin. Air conditioner was very noisy. No information about rental or area was provided. Overall not a great experience for our first time renting thru vrbo.

Bear Lake Cabin

We were gone most of the day kayaking and just wanted a comfortable place to sleep. The mattress was not comfortable. The tv didn't really work. It would just sit and buffer. I would suggest with this type of VRBO which we knew was no frills, that the owner or manager supply a comfortable mattress, a tv that worked, basic supplies like toilet paper, hand soap, etc. Someone came in the day before we left while we were gone and brought a roll of toilet paper and hand soap and then left leaving the door unlocked all day. We were not very happy about that, but luckily nothing was stolen, They had said they were coming to replace the tv, but that didn't happen.

Find something else!!

Wow! Where do I begin!! The first night we ended up sleeping in our car because the fire alarm started chirping at 3:00 am. Due to the vaulted ceilings we could not disconnect it. We messaged at 5:00 and then 8:00 and we were told it would be fixed by 11:00. It was not fixed until 8:30 pm. We were told several times throughout the day that it was fixed but that was a lie because it kept chirping until 8:30 pm. Awful customer service and liars!! The cabin also smelled very strongly of sewer and we mentioned it to the guy fixing the alarm and he fixed the problem with lots of bleach. So we traded the smell of sewer for bleach. Oh and I forgot to mention that we did not have check in info until we messaged the host and asked for it. The price is far to high for the services being provided. Run far far away from these cabins!!!

Bear Lake Vacation

Great location. Cabin had sewer smell quite a bit of thetime. Amenities were not setup for 2 people. No drinking glasses and one coffee cup. Windows were filthy and hard to see through. The cabin a year old, but not quite finished. The bathroom sink handles weren't fastened down. The bathroom cabinet doors had no handles and you had to reach down to the bottom of the door to open it. Found a cabinet knob in a kitchen drawer, so put it on the door and now one of them opens easier. Otherwise it was a great cabin. Fire pit outside was awesome. Driveway area a bit dusty, but over all enjoyable stay.

VERY MISLEADING --bed was a foldaway-mattress sucked--super dusty underneath. ONLY A 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper--NO SPARE---fridge wasn't clean---WHAT WI-FI--took over 1-1/2 hour to watch a 45 minute show---NO WI-FI FOR PHONE ---- NO REMOTE FOR ANTENNA TV---ROKU UNWATCHABLE--more time spent loading than anything else---NO CHAIRS OR TABLE----DIRTY TILE FLOOR---ONLY PLUS WAS lots of wall outlets.

This property is called “get away to beautiful bear lake” yet it is nowhere near a lake it is basically a dirt gravel lot, with very small building like cabins. When we opened the door, the floor was dirty and had not been cleaned since the last people left. The beds are basically an army cot and a cheap futon which both of them had dirt and gravel on them. The bed looked like it had not been made up since last customer was there. The bathroom was not cleaned at all the shower floor was stained terribly and the shower curtain was wet about 5 inches from the bottom with mildew. The sink had soap scum or toothpaste splatter on the faucet. Floor was not clean. There was only one towel and no wash cloth or hand towels. The kitchenette had dirty dishes on the microwave plates and silverware. It looked like a run down $30 a night hotel and for the price I paid, I was expecting cleaner and on the lake as the name implies. I contacted property owner with my concerns and that we were not staying there after our 12 hour trip to get there. We found a nice hotel to stay at in the next town over for less than this so called cabin.

Small Bed uncomfortable

I slept in the smaller bed which was a futon, it was not comfortable at all. I am 71 years old and did not sleep at all, not happy about that. I think you should get a twin bed/ mattress. Are all the other cabins like tha??. Friends do not sleep together. It should of been explained in your description on line what the small bed is, I dont know how the other cabins are with beds, but 'Im very disappointed with the money I spent. The location and neighborhood is great Please respond, thank you.

Could easily be 5-star

The place is fabulous, very clean and comfortable. The only issue was communication. It would have been a better experience if we had known when we would have received checkin info. To his credit when I emailed the day before checkin he got right back to me with the info. However, when I asked about the internet connection credentials upon our checkin, he never responded. Lastly, there wasn’t any bath soap, minor detail, but kept me from giving 5-stars. Again, the place was excellent, just a couple of hiccups.

Room not clean. Not fully supplied. Missing sheet on bed, dirty comforter, missing towels, etc.

Will not return because of room was not cleaned properly nor supplied properly.

Great vacation rental!

We enjoyed staying in this comfortable and clean cabin. The owner was great to work with, the place was clean and well thought out and even had a firepit to enjoy with wood already in it. We'll stay here again.
