We enjoyed our stay at the property and thought it was an OK value relative to other more expensive properties in the Palmas Del Mar development on a busy 4th of July weekend. The property accommodated our party of 8 comfortably. Positive aspects: awesome views, main floor layout, top floor open terrace, golf cart included, pool, spacious, clean and generally well equipped, close proximity to beaches, restaurants, store, and marina, courteous, professional, and responsive host.Issues to be aware of: Safety hazards (razor sharp upper end/corner edges of glass panels that served as handrails for stairs); appliances (including A/C units), and fans that did not work or broke down during our stay; refrigerator and freezer that did not keep optimal temperatures; no functioning cable or satellite service (internet service was functional): ceiling water leaks on the main floor; mildly turbid and sub-optimal pool water; non functional pool lights, electricity usage limitations/caps requested by the host, backup generator located right next to bedrooms (very loud, interrupt sleep); house layout not for individuals that have limited mobility or physical functions. Additional aspects to be aware of in common with any property in Palmas Del Mar: more expensive food; limited to no use of the nearby beaches due to stinky, dense sargasso (sea weeds) and /or due to sea turtle nesting season; golf carts are everywhere near popular spots and mostly driven by noncourteous teenagers.
