Easy reservation process and good communications. House is very nice with two master bedrooms and plenty of space for my family of 4 (we didn’t use all the bedrooms). The location having its own beach and gentle swimming area was key with beautiful views of the bay and nature. . The provided kayak was a big hit with our kids (ages 11 and 13) plus having a firepit to enjoy the evenings outdoors was nice. The seclusion comes at a cost however. As described in the listing, it does have internet but, it’s wireless point to point which is just about non-existent on weekends and maybe 2 or 3mbps at best on weekdays. Don’t plan on streaming much of anything. Likewise, ATT cellular was 0 to 1 bars with hit or miss data. Know this going in. After a few days you adjust but, trying to find restaurants or local info is tough when you have poor connectivity. Restaurants are geared towards lunch and dinner and are at least 5 miles away. There’s not a diner to be found for breakfast but, the Car Wash Cafe came close (though a bit pricey). For a change of pace, we discovered a place called Compass Entertainment that is great for a rainy day. Indoor climbing, VR, games and ropes course plus mini golf, go karts and batting cages outside and a movie theater and bar all in one place that seems pretty new. The house has a ping pong table, beach chairs, kayaks, floating tubes, and beach toys. My only complaints about the property would include a pick up truck partially blocking the driveway (annoying to drive around), a fair amount of dust and some crumbs under furniture, and a few bulbs that were out (informed manager about bulbs).. All told though, this was a great place to get away for a change of pace and seclusion. Just know that you’re off the beaten path a bit.
