Great property and host

House was perfect for a Friendsgiving with 4 adult couples. Each couple had a Queen sized bed and full bath. Short Uber ride to Newport.

FANTASTIC WEEKEND! Wish it was longer!

We had 8 adults and everyone had a great time with plenty of space. The property is even larger than it looks in the pictures. Everything was clean and nicely updated, esp the bathrooms. Terrific location too. Many close restaurants.No complaints. Highly recommend Highly recommended

Best Girls Weekend!

This property is absolutely stunning and the perfect spot for my girls weekend! It is only a 10 minute drive to downtown Newport and has plenty of beds and bathrooms for a good sized group! Highly recommend!

So much space for everyone!!

We just loved staying here, there was space for everyone, and the sunsets off the back yard were amazing! Great location, easy to get everywhere. Loved it all!!

Great time!

We stayed for a long weekend at The Barn and are so happy with our experience and stay. The Barn is absolutely gorgeous. It is located on a busier road, however, the house is set back far and is set on a beautiful, large property. The owner Teresa was so accommodating, kind, and helpful. The house is clean, organized, and checked off all of our boxes and beyond. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for our long weekend! Thank you!

Wonderful stay

My group of 7 family/friends stayed here for a golf weekend. The house was perfect - clean, large enough, and exactly as described. All of the bedrooms were great - the bunk room was a hit. Pleasantly surprised by the quantity and quality of all of the bathrooms. The hangout space in the basement was fun - I’m surprised they haven’t fully finished the space down there! Communication with the host was fine - we did not need her during our stay, but was very helpful to ensuring we were all set leading up to our visit. The accordion window from the kitchen to the deck was a hit and a great way to extend the living spaces. The yard was a great place to hang out, although the grass was quite long and very thick which made playing in it a bit of a challenge. We were also disappointed to discover that the golf hole at the end of the backyard was not an actual hole, just a pole with no flag. Although we probably would not have spent much time playing with that as there was a coyote family that appeared to have had a den right under the tree next to the “golf hole”. Either way, the yard was beautiful to look at and made for a nice backdrop. The location was a quick 10 minute drive to the heart of downtown Newport. We ubered and had no troubles getting a car to pick us up at the house. We would definitely stay again!

Thanksgiving

Perfect spot for giving thanks to God for His blessings. Loved the ping pong and Christmas movies. The open concept design was great for our holiday celebration! Loved the kitchen… felt like a chef! Thank you for the memories! Teresa was very accessible and agreeable.

Great House!

We had a wonderful stay at The Barn! That back yard is amazing!! The fire pit, the under the deck oasis and the kitchen-to-the-outside window — all so awesome! The property is secluded but close to everything! We loved how close the house is to the bird sanctuary - great place to walk and can’t beat the views. The Cliff Walk, mansion tours, Second Beach, renting mopeds and electric bikes are some of our favs. Thanks for our home away from home.

Bougie house

The house is beautiful! Everything was just perfect. It was my Daughters wedding weekend and the house was large enough for all the bridesmaids to get ready. The house was very clean with plenty of towels and beds were so comfy. The location was great and I would definitely rent this house again!

Outstanding home

This home is in a beautiful setting in Middletown, near Newport. It’s a great home for with great indoor and outdoor spaces. It was extremely clean and well maintained. Check in and check out were very easy. We were there for a family wedding. It would be a great place for a large family or a small group of friends.

Great family stay!

We had a fantastic stay with grandparents, aunts/uncles and cousins in this beautiful property. The house was immaculate, and outside space was fantastic, even in January. We were able to jog to the beach (about a mile), but the road is busy. The kids loved the bunk room and ping pong table. The master bedroom is ridiculously big. Other bedrooms are small but comfortable (full beds, not queen). We wished there were more sitting options in the living room, but the dining room table was awesome for family meals and games. The open concept was great. Owner and property manager were quick and friendly with responding to questions. Overall, an awesome experience. We would definitely come again!

Wonderful getaway

Our family just got back from a wonderful getaway to Newport for Thanksgiving week. The home was everything we were looking for to make our annual Thanksgiving gathering special. The home provided the perfect setting to create long lasting memories. There was plenty of room to spread out and relax. The bedrooms were great and spacious. The bunk bed room was a hit with our girls who got t spent quality cousins time together. We were blessed with mild weather so we were able to take advantage of the big backyard. The ping pong table was a big hit. The location of the house also allowed us to take advantage of everything Newport had to offer. It was the perfect place to start this holiday season. Thank you !! Great Weekend at the Barn

This house was everything we were hoping for. Great location, great set up, and very clean. It is exactly as advertised. I rented this for a team (work) get together. Had 9 folks staying at the house and it accommodated all of us perfectly. I would highly recommend, and we would definitely rent it again. Not sure we could have had a better set up.

Beautiful Coastal Home

This was a clean, comfortable, and beautiful home located close to downtown Newport, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked and overall a wonderful place to stay with friends or family.

Great Vacation House!!

Loved our stay at this property!! A group of family and friends stayed here together and all of us loved the experience!! Every room is very thoughtfully decorated and beautiful. Comfortable beds! The space is a lot of fun with games and ping pong, and an indoor/ outdoor bar top area. If you’re looking for a place that says Rhode Island, this is your place!! Great location, great views from the backyard, and great communication with the owner. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!!

Perfect in every way!

Beautiful house and owner was super responsive when I forgot where I saved the door code. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, short drive into town, clean and incredibly comfortable throughout the house. Thanks for an amazing getaway!!

Ideal Spot for Large Family Vacation

What an awesome spot! We were traveling with 4 groups in total and this spot was ideal in allowing us all to have our own space to stretch out. Each bedroom has its own bathroom (and all the beds in the bunk room are queens, which was a really nice surprise for the kids). The property is really perfect for a large group in general - a huge backyard to run around and play games, as well as a large patio with a large dining table, and a separate spot underneath to shield from the sun if need be. The accordion doors that open into the kitchen was a really cool feature – a great spot to enjoy coffee or a drink while enjoying the view. Despite being on a busier road, its actually very quiet and peaceful in the backyard. Everything in the house was nicely adorned, very clean and well kept, and a lot of amenities were provided, which was much appreciated. The house is very close to everything. There are plenty of stores on the street its on to grab food, coffee, bagels, and whatever else you need. The beach was just around the corner, which allowed us very easy trips back and forth with the kids. Newport is very close – so an easy trip to enjoy the town without having to be close to the “noise”. All in all - really couldn’t think of a better place for us to spend our family vacation. We look forward to hopefully staying here again in the future!

Perfect Large House for Extended Family

Wow! We couldn't have found a better house to stay in We were vacationing in the Newport area and attending the Folk Festival with our children, their spouses and our granddaughter. The house was impeccable and had so much to offer. We had coffee and bagels and BBQ's and evening drinks on the large deck, played games in the huge backyard, relaxed in the covered recreation room looking out over the rear property, and played ping pong on the basement. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. The location was central with easy access to beaches, shops and the Festival. Theresa was extremely responsive. We hope to go back next year and years following.

We lived in New York our entire lives, but we fell in love with Newport the first time we visited and knew very quickly that this was where we wanted to build our future. Our attachment to Newport goes back for years. We got engaged under the stars at Castle Hill, and we recently moved to Portsmouth to raise our family on this beautiful island. We purchased The Barn in the summer of 2014 and quickly started renovations on this once dairy barn. This home has a unique blend of old and modern that we just adore. When designing it we took into consideration all of the needs of a large family, young and old, vacationing under one roof together! We hope you love this home as much as we do.
