The property was in a perfect location, easy to walk to downtown, old mill. The kitchen had everything one could possibly want/need. It was clean quiet, Easy in out for car, and great parking spot. We would Definitely stay here again. Great coffee maker.

Great rental!

Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Bend. The house is very well stocked for cooking and hanging out. Additionally, there were a ton of fantastic restaurants within walking distance.

Nice cozy home with great location

I loved the location of this home. It is walking distance to downtown and to Boneyard. It is just a few blocks from a Market of Choice too. The kitchen and bathroom are nice too.

Perfect location and home!

Couldn't have asked for a better place! We were half way between the mill district and downtown meaning we were able to walk everywhere. The house was the perfect size and well stocked. Would definitely visit again!

Fantastic location!

The location of this property can't be beat! You are right between downtown Bend and the Mill district. Everything is super walkable. The house itself is cozy, and the kitchen is incredibly well stocked. We enjoyed the hot tub and also having dedicated parking (as street parking can be tough to reliably find.) All in all, we had a great extended stay in the cottage.

Warm and cozy

It was a wonderful treat to have the house and hot tub warm and ready to go when we arrived. It was very cozy to sit in the hot tub as it snowed. Great walkable location from everything. Very sweet space and town.

Great Location and Attention to Detail

The Chic Cottage was a great place to stay for a few days as most of those in the area. Easy walk downtown and to the Mill area (a bit further). After staying at several rental properties in Bend over the years, this one was just a cut above in terms of quality, beds, linens, kitchen, decor, etc. We were a little taken off guard by the ask to wash and dry the towels which put us behind on the departure, but we managed. Definitely would stay with a HomeSpun property again and in this location.

Perfect ski getaway in fun town

Our Family of four had the perfect stay for a week in February. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and an ideal location. We could easily walk to great restaurants and bars. The kitchen was well stocked. Every day after skiing we would soak in the roomy, clean hot tub. Great Wi-Fi connection. I have no complaints about this house!

This was the best rental property we’ve stayed at! Great location, we were able to walk everywhere we needed even in the snow. The house was so cute, warm and inviting. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. The host was so accommodating and responsive. We will remember this house every time we need to stay in Bend!

Cutest house in great location- could walk to everything! House was stocked with everything needed! It definately needs a new sofa and chairs- stylishly cute but the most uncomfortable sofa! Gave us a backache! Curious about the spotlight across the street that shines right thru the house at night. Would still stay there again but hoping for new furniture!

Wonderful home

This home is well worth every penny. Has everything you need. Kitchen is fully stocked with supplies. Hot tub is wonderful and hot. Home is beautiful and having central AC is a plus especially during our stay we had fires going on so the house was nice and clear. Absolutely would stay again.

This place was truly amazing! As soon as we walked in the door, we were pretty amazed at the house. Not only was it super clean, it is decorated so tastefully. The location is fantastic as well, a short walk to the bustling downtown Bend that has so much to offer. I'd say this is the best rental (I've stayed in alot) I've stayed in.

Great stay!

We had a great time and the house had everything you’d want in a rental. The checkin process and I even got a text that we could arrive early. I will definitely stay here again! Caution to taller people: the doorframe into the bathroom is about 6 feet. You will have to duck down

Good location and nice interior

Walking distance to central district and brewpubs is nice. Hot tub works albeit stuck in a tight space around the side of the house. Exterior and front patio, in late winter, were dirty but interior is spotless and nice. The vintage phono player shown in the pictures doesn't work so bring your own portable speakers for tunes. Overall a great place.

I am so glad you were able to come experience The Modern Mill Cottage, and walk to so many great places right from the house. Our spring time can bring dust and pollen here in the High Desert, so thanks for being so understanding of the outdoor spaces during that time period prior to when our regular outside maintenance starts in April. I am glad the inside of the house was tidy and spotless for you... just what we expect as well but it never gets old hearing that we delivered! I have checked on the record player and have a new needle ordered... stay tuned for tunes. Thanks for letting know! And thank you for being our guests.

comfortable cottage close to downtown

we loved the cottage and especially the location. we skied everyday and the hot tub was a good addition. It seemed like the hot tub could have used a good cleaning but other than that the place was very nice. the kitchen is modern and well stocked with pots pans etc. It says it sleeps 4 but please note, not 4 separate sleeping locations. it was two beds in two bedrooms. luckily we brought a portable mattress so problem solved.

Thank you for staying with us during your Bend trip. The location of this house is fantastic and it sounds like you were able to really enjoy it. You were here during a great week for skiing, and having the hot tub there for an evening soak is quite nice. I wish we would have known while you were here that it needed a spruce. We get it serviced every week by a licensed company, but we would have been more than happy to schedule a second one if needed. Next time! As for the bed situation, this is advertised as a two bedroom home, and I am sorry this was unclear for you before arrival. I am glad you enjoyed your week here in Bend and hope to have you back again at another one of our three bedroom homes next time that may suit your needs better. Thank you for being our guests!

Chillax'in in downtown Bend

My wife and I recently stayed at this charming mill house in downtown Bend and loved it! It was nice and clean, had a well stocked kitchen (according to my wife :), and a king bed. The house was in a great location too - easily walkable to downtown stores, the Saturday market, and Drake Park. Jackson's Corner is a new favorite of ours and also just a short walk from the house. Next time I have to try the pizza (slight fail that we only had breakfast there, but we had to try other places. Like Zydeco -- yes, go there too!). We also really enjoyed just relaxing on the front porch after our adventure-filled days. The house is cozy and thoughtfully furnished and the private parking is an added bonus. We'll definitely be back again!

I am so glad you were able to walk to all the great downtown restaurants and attractions. The best part about staying at The Modern Mill is having your own private, comfortable retreat in the heart of everything. It's the best of both worlds! Though we often get comments on how wonderful the fully stocked kitchen in at the house, you will definitely need to come back to rediscover Jackson's Corner on your next visit as it is a whole new awesome experience for lunch and dinner. Some Great Features - Some Shortcomings

Pretty good location and who doesn’t live a great kitchen - and this one delivered. Clean, well appointed and stocked with all the things a cook would want. Would have preferred a gas cooktop, and maybe some pantry space staples. Over all a good stay. We were originally planning a trip with another couple, but that thankfully that didn’t work out — this place really isn’t set up for more than 2 people. The 2nd bedroom is tiny and the dining table is pushed up against the wall so it only seats 3. The doorway to the bathroom is surprisingly low, I had to duck every time. For us, the interior was fine, but we didn’t like the outdoor spaces. They seemed detached - the spa was tucked in an inaccessible side yard, there were lots of dead plants and exposed dirt. Good for two people but priced like it suited larger groups. Nope.

Ideal location, perfect property

Loved staying in Old Bend in this charming bungalow. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, had all the amenities you need (+ a hot tub!), and was convenient for walking downtown. Would definitely choose this place again!

My favorite feature of this house: the feeling of stepping back in time. Rarely do you find a house that so perfectly balances eclectic charm, mid-century feel, and modern amenities. From the 1920's starburst wall clock to the oh-so-fancy Moccamaster coffee maker (seriously, it'll be the best cup of coffee you have ever made), vintage Star Wars posters to the brand new gazebo with sun shades, it is all the best of all periods together in a blissful symphony. This house makes you feel like you are living in a modern-meets-retro dream.
