We had a small family reunion and this house was the perfect size and location for our group. The house featured a great layout, with large bedrooms and offered a wonderful view. However...the overall condition of the interior is notably dated and tired, and not in tip-top condition. Icemaker didn't work, a few kitchen tools didn't work and throughout the house the towels were old, ratty, and in need of replacement. The fees were ridiculous...they totaled more than the rental cost of the house itself. This was even more unacceptable when we read the house policies that directed us to strip the beds and start washing the laundry as part of the check-out process! Seems like that service should be covered by the 171 cleaning fee we paid. Unfortunately, we will not be back :(

The size of the home was perfect for our group and the location was excellent close to everything we needed however there were several issues that impacted our stay there was no cleaning products available available for the kitchen or bath and the dishwasher wasn't working properly both bathrooms had an unpleasant smell and it didn't seem like the floor mats have been cleaned before our arrival additionally there was a very limited supply of towels for a home meant to accommodate eight people with a few improvements in cleanliness and maintenance this property could be a great rental

Great View

The view is outstanding and the house is nicely decorated. I gave only four stars for cleanliness because the carpet has seen better days; lots of spots. The dishwasher could use and upgrade as well since the dishes didn't always come out clean even with pre-washing the dishes first. Overall the property is relaxing and we loved seeing the deer come to visit and rest in the back yard!

The neighborhood is nice and quiet.The view is beautiful. Close to the beach.The house was clean but little tired and really needs some general maintenance.The only real problem was the carpet. It is filthy and lots of nasty pet stains.

Friends reunion

The home was perfect for our needs (four senior friends), the kitchen well stocked, lots of books and puzzles, and the view was beautiful. The home is in a very quiet neighborhood. Management responded very quickly to a couple minor questions. Would definitely consider staying again.

Enjoyed my company

The property was nice and clean. The view was outstanding. It was hard to communicate with managementOverall, all family members enjoyed the stay. We didn't care so much for the neighborhood . It has lots of old houses.

Ladies Get-Away

Great house. Plenty of room for our group of 7.House was freshly cleaned. Smelled good.A little short on dinner plates, smaller toaster and coffee maker for the size of the house but you can make it work. Great off season price. Would rent again.

Great location, great view.

Property is nice, but a little older. Fantastic view. Great location in Roads End. Easy parking. Plenty of beds, space for everyone.

Nice place

Nice place to stay. Location is great and close to the beach. We enjoyed the beach view and our walks on the beach. The kitchen is on the second floor so it is a bit of work to get things up to the kitchen.

Enjoyable

We enjoyed everything about our stay except for the tree removal service spending two days of our trip removing large trees and blocking our cars in and out on and off all day. Probably would have been nice to have a heads up. Thankfully Charlie’s Got Wood company was very respectful to us renters and were happy to move their vehicles to let us in and out of the driveway. We also texted the host upon arrival and never got a response. It’s a little concerning not having a deadbolt or any lock on the garage door that enters the house. Beautiful view and convenient close beach access. Would stay again in future.

Nice property but …

We loved the property and the house was great. We did have an incident where my 8 year old grandson fell off the back of the hot tub and sustained a head injury (we spent our last night in the hospital ER). The hot tub is elevated on a platform with rocks and a brick path below- be sure to watch children closely and not let them sit on the edge of the hot tub to cool off. Very dangerous!

Excellent stay!

An excellent property! Everything was as pictured, and the view was amazing. The pictures in the listing did not do it justice. Plus, it's close to the beach and grocery store so very convenient! I would definitely rent this property again.

Perfect house for beach getaway

This house is in an unbeatable location, stunning views, comfy beds, wonderful fireplace and hot tub. Just know when going there are some tlc that could be done. The blinds in the top 2 rooms have pieces missing, carpet is stained and could be updated to laminet flooring... there are little stuff that could make a HUGE difference, however, its just an esthetic and every part if this house is worth it!! Also note that even though alot of VRBO's have let us in within the hour of arrival time, this houses code DOES NOT CHANGE UNTIL the exact check in time. We were 20 minutes early and ended up having to run to the store and get that done first.

Fantastic View

The house was comfortable with a fantastic view. Beds were comfortable, water was hot etc. However, the kitchen was grimy. Dishes in cupboards weren’t clean (dishwasher needs to be replaced or cleaned) and there was an ant problem in the kitchen and dining area. If those issues were taken care of we would have thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
