Wonderful Vacation

Nice view from the balcony and plenty of space in the condo for our family. Beach area in front of the pool area is very small but you can set up next to it.

Nice place, sad about the balcony door being broken. Sadly, we require Wi-Fi for my husband’s work and it was very slow.

We love the balcony that can be opened or closed to enjoy the sound of the surf and the beautiful view of the Gulf. The unit could use some updates but had been freshly painted. The showers had very low water pressure. Bender provided great service. The location is great, convenient to restaurants and shopping.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have vacationed with Bender a number of times. This location was not a good experience. The room was dirty, dried up blood on pillows and blankets, stuff on walls, both tvs in the bedrooms did not work at all. There were 6 in our group. We were also harassed by a tenant because we caped out by the pool and by our truck. He followed us around 4 times. We will never book with Bender again. When we complained we were told we were going to get a discount. They charged us full price!

While we have no control over the behavior of other guests, particularly when they have not booked through Bender Vacation Rentals, it is a shame that they furthered your discomfort. Mold was in all the vents, a strong odor was in the master bedroom, and unfortunately the balcony doors were sealed so we couldn't air it out. Management was excellent.

Very crowded beach . I am sure due to the covid 19 & beaches being reopened.

The place needs updated!! The sliding doors to patio are very difficult to open & close! The area rug needs to be removed its filthy! No ceiling fans in any of the bedrooms or other rooms! The bed was comfortable! It was very clean except for the rug. The kitchen is very well equipped for your cooking needs! The pool was kept up as well and very short easy walk to beach. Yes I would stay there again

The Edgewater in Gulf Shores

The condo was not clean!! The floors were so nasty that we had to vacuum when we got there. The sleeper sofa was on the the balcony which was not air conditioned. It was not as nice as it appeared to be in the pictures!

Loved the location, property was nice, small nber of units so was not noisy or chaotic. Condo needs updating, guest bath needs to be fixed - faucets were hard to get shower working. DvD player did not work in guest room and no other way of watching anything. The living room and master bedroom had firesticks. Wish a little more toilet paper was provided and trash bags . Overall great condo, may stay in a different unit next time.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 3rd time renting this property. We love the location and working with Bender, but the property needs attention. We thought the rental has room for 6 to sleep but the couches were changed so now there is room for barely 5. The pull out is on the back porch and is a twin. The coffee maker was really dirty and the queen bed is missing leg on one side. Also the wireless connection was super slow. Overall this is a great location and place to stay if things are fixed and upgraded.

Thank you for your input. The owner is currently making plans for upgrades to this unit. If the bedding remains the same, it will accommodate five guests, not six. Edgewater 43 is in a terrific location, just a mile from local restaurants and attractions. Its glass-enlcosed balcony is a wonderful feature, enabling guests to enjoy the beach front view, regardless of the weather.

1st Time Gulf Shores

Upon arrival we were very excited to go on vacation it being our first trip here. A week prior to our arrival we were told that we wouldn't be able to open our balcony doors due to being screwed shut being last minute we were unable to find another place to stay they promised a discount due to the inconvenience. Still awaiting refund we were promised. We did have a great view of the gulf which is an absolute plus but the not being able to open the balcony takes alot away. The rooms in my opinion stayed fairly warm and definitely would need a fan brought or ceiling fans put in. The condo also wasn't properly cleaned. In both bathrooms there was hair in the floor and the trashcan in the kitchen still had food in it. A few days into our stay there was alot of rain and the parking lot was flooded. Around 11:30am they began pumping the parking lot into the gulf and this took place for several hours making the water black where my children and others were swimming. This was done a couple of days. There is also several areas in the breezeway that is beginning to fall apart. I wouldn't recommend staying here. There was alot of things I could overlook but the pumping waste into the gulf is something I couldn't. I will not stay here again. I am very displeased with how this was done.

We gave you a substantial refund the day before your departure. We apologize for the housekeeping issues you experienced and would have addressed them immediately had you called. While we are not responsible for the manner in which the property manager drained the parking lot, it cannot have been pleasant, and we regret the inconvenience.

Edgewater 43 - Ask for a real-time virtual tour

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The pictures presented are either old or the photographer was did not zoom in.If you are interested in this property, request a real-time virtual tour. Balcony door - We made our reservations in early February 2022 and were told less than a month before arrival date that the balcony door was broken and wouldn't be fixed by the time we got there. Based on the looks of the door, I find it hard to believe that they (owner) didn't know prior to notifying us through the rental company that the door wasn't working and actually think they probably knew when we booked.Furniture in the bedroom and vanity in the bathroom was garage sale quality at best. The drawers, when you got them open would fall out if you weren't careful. The kitchen drawers were the same. Had to make sure you didn't pull them out.bathroom fixtures - guessing they've been there since the 70s.various light bulbs outMicrowave didn't work. you could program it and start it but it didn't generate any heat. they did bring a new one the day before we checked out.kitchen was pretty nasty - the plastic ceiling tiles were broken and moldyWiFi SUCKED - Two of us had to work and use our mobile hotspots which was a pain. You couldn't even load images on your phone using the wifi. worst I've seen in a rentalOnly 1 roll of tp in each bathroom. I've never rented a condo that didn't have at least 1 spare roll.Only good thing - it was right on the beach. They did give us a credit of approximately one night stay, but only because we asked due to the balcony door. If we hadn't said anything, I doubt a credit would have been given.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was clean and well appointed. It wasn't missing anything that you would expect to find in a household. Complex was quiet and relaxing. Only negative was the elevator was a little slow so I routinely took the stairs since we were only on the 4th floor.

Terrific Shrimp Festival Weekend

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was perfect for our family. The glass-enclosed balcony made sitting and watching the Gulf very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. Check in was a breeze.
