Thank you for the lovely review! You and your family were wonderful guests and are welcome back any time! True about the sun at certain times of the year it does take longer to get to the pool, this just depends on the time of year, later in the season (Summertime) it does seem to arrive on the pool earlier however due to the sun being higher in the sky at that time. If I want a full day of sun during the winter I usually head down to the beach early and then come back up to the pool in the afternoon when its usually full sun by then, at approximately 2pm or so. Just a tip for future travelers to be aware of. I very much appreciate the feedback! :)

The pool heater should be fixed pretty soon, we are awaiting parts to take care of this and it will be heated once again. I am sorry it was not working during your stay! The safe, while not very old really, had some rust issues in the components that were preventing it from working properly. During the rainy season with all the humidity this is pretty common in Mexico, but I am installing new safe's in both bedrooms within a couple of weeks. These safe's should not have the same issues with rust due to the more simple design. You mentioned the taxi fare which is not very much to get back and forth. We also have Uber now in Mexico, so this makes it actually even cheaper and much more efficient to get around. They usually make it to my condo in about 5 minutes and they don't get lost like some taxi's do, due to them having a GPS! Thank you for your honest review of my condo and for being lovely guests!

Jose, First of all let me apologize sincerely if any of those things happened. I’ve never had a complaint about this particular maid, she has always done an excellent job! And this is Mexico, sometimes cleaning ladies do bring a family member or two! However they should have been masked and I will talk to her. However, if all of those things indeed happened why did you not contact myself or my rental manager at ANY time at all about any of these things during your stay? I heard nothing about anything during your stay until just now? You could have taken photos to show the poor state you claimed it was in, why not do that? Also, I don’t know where you read about a 13 minute walk to the beach in my description? I looked at it again and I cant find that at all. Rest assured if I had known about these issues I would have tried to make things right and again I do apologize for any oversights that may have happened during your stay, as this is definitely not the experience I want for my guests at all! I would like to say this to any future guests of mine and I think just about all other owners here would agree with me ...if you have ANY issues with my place, be it cleanliness or anything at all that is not as it should be, please be sure to bring this up with me or my manager first thing during your stay instead of simply writing a terrible review after the fact. We are both very prompt in responding to any issues. Also be sure to take some photos at that moment of anything you think needs attention or is not right, and I assure you that we will do the best to make things right for you, as your enjoyable vacation stay is the most important thing to us!

Rob, First I want to thank you for being such a great guest at my condo, I am happy you enjoyed most of your stay, however I am confused and saddened to read your review and hear about the issues you had regarding the former sewer problem at the next door unit. Firstly, I did know about it and was informed by my rental manager Layce about the issue. From what I heard both from her and the condo board is that the issue had been resolved by the time you had arrived. I can understand if there may have been some residual odors and for that I sincerely apologize, but I promise you that I was assured all the areas were cleaned and the problem was solved a couple days before your arrival or I certainly would have let you know before you arrived I also did not recieve a text or an email from you at all. I don't know if your phone was not working correctly while there (this is common) but I also didn't see any message here on the VRBO site, which is the best way to communicate to an owner, just an fyi, so that everything is in one place. I can assure you had I received any one of those messages I would have either responded myself or had my manager Layce reach out to you. I asked her if she had received any message from you and she said she also had not heard anything and had also assumed all was fine. Thank you for your honest review of my condo! I do recommend Uber as opposed to taxi because they have a GPS system and are much less likely to get lost. I personally haven't had a problem with them at all, maybe you had a newer driver? The internet is secured with a password, so maybe you meant its not that its not that reliable? Its usually pretty good at my place, however in Mexico its common for the internet service to come in and out sometimes. Great information for guest's about the water refill, thank you! Regarding the gas in the bbq tank, I hope to avoid it going empty during future guest's stay by having my manager check on this between guests. I agree with you that my place may not be the best for older guest's, I do try to make this clear in my description of the property but thank you for highlighting this as I can't always know the age of guest's inquiring. The hill is steep and not easy and is a workout, even for me sometimes! Thank you for being wonderful guests and again for your patience for the couple of issues that arose during your stay!

I have been assured by them that they will be moving by June 2017. So the dogs thankfully will cease to be an issue any more by then.

Thank you Dan, you and your wife were the best guest's an owner can possibly wish for! I do apologize for the sometimes noisy dogs in the nearby unit, we are hopeful that situation will be remedied very soon. Normally we don't allow more than one dog per unit and that is exactly the reason why.

Thank you so much for the review, and for being such wonderful guests! And you are right about the pool getting less sun unfortunately during November and December. Though guests should know that the most of the other months of the year do actually have full sun pool coverage in the afternoon when the sun is hottest, starting around 2pm. It's my first full year of ownership and seeing the changes with the sun positions is new to me too!
