Regarding your issues with the refrigerator and dishwasher, we had hoped the technician who came in the day the problem was reported would have been able to correct the situation and are sorry that was not possible. We hope the replacement refrigerator addressed this issue for your group and improved the situation for you at the property. We are always sorry to hear when a property has an issue like this that interferes with our guests' experience. We work diligently to try and ensure this doesn't occur, but with any property, there is always the possibility of unforeseen circumstances. We hope the efforts made by our team to address and correct the problems helped minimize the inconvenience. Since your departure, and in response to your feedback, we have completed a full review of the property and have ensured that everything is in good working order. There have also been upgrades made to the property management support to prevent the potential for future maintenance issues. Hi Scott, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience. First and foremost, I am extremely sorry to hear that you felt your needs were not being addressed and that the experience fell short of your expectations. We have been in business for over 11 years and the comments you’ve made are in strict contrast to our normal guest services approach and subsequent guest feedback. I say this not to discredit your experience but rather to highlight how shocked we were to read your comments. I followed up with all our team members including the outside property manager and nobody had any record of the complaints you mentioned, despite the fact that you were in touch with our guest services coordinator by email for other topics throughout your stay. After reviewing all emails and correspondence, I was unable to source any record of your concerns being mentioned/flagged to our team. For this reason, I reached out to you by phone and email to try and learn more about what happened and who you spoke with so we could work towards a resolution. Unfortunately I did not receive any replies from you after multiple attempts to connect. With regard to the fridge, there is a switch inside that shifts the temperature into a colder state for large groups when the fridge tends to be more packed; it’s possible that this switch was not flipped for your group. I am surprised that the property manager would not have done this for you had they been notified of the problem as it is an easy fix. Regardless, to be safe, a new fridge has been purchased by the owner for the property. In terms of the hot water, Huatulco is still a remote destination with pilot lights on the hot water tanks that greatly effect water temperatures if blown out. This is true of every villa we represent in Huatulco (close to 100). Typically the problem is solved immediately once the issue is flagged as it’s as simple as re-lighting the pilot light. With regard to the resort fee, which I’m guessing is what you’re referring to, it is included in the property description and was reiterated to you in our communication prior to you reserving. It is also re-mentioned in the pre-arrival package which would have been part of your Countdown to Arrival email. Lastly, the maid service is provided through the hotel; not our company or the owner. Sharlotte, Thank you for your review. We are glad that you were able to have a great time. We have passed your comments along to the owner and would like to provide feedback on some of the points you have made. Regarding your issues with the water & dishwasher the fact that Huatulco has been hit by the tropical storm Vicente during the dates of your stay changed the situation, the fact that the main pipe of water of the municipality failed let hundreds people without water. We had hoped that the fact that we offered you dinner to avoid any dish, provided you buckets & water jugs for your usage in addition to laundry service would have been able to improve the situation for you at the property. The water flow was reestablished quickly, the internet being a not primary priority took more time. We are always sorry to hear when there are interferences with our guests' experience. We hope the efforts made by our team to address and correct the problems helped minimize the inconvenience.
