House had an awesome layout for our family stay. Space for everyone to tuck away and relax. Location was perfect and close to town, so didn’t use the car at all. Beds were comfortable.

Great spot

A house with a fabulous view. Very comfortable with everything you need. It perfectly suited our group of 6. It was a great location with everything on your doorstep, park the car and walk/cycle to everything. We loved our time there.

No property number visible from the street which made it difficult to find as the house is concealed by steep driveway. House, fixture and fittings are very tired. Front door sticks and needs slamming to close. Garbage from previous tenant left in interior bin. After daytime rain, audible dripping in bedroom ceiling continued all night. Incorrect wifi password supplied. (Telephoned Bachcare and the girl was very helpful). The booking photos do not accurately reflect the property.Terrible value for the price.

Hi there, Thanks for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. I’m really sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced. From the lack of visible property numbering and maintenance issues to the cleanliness concerns and incorrect information provided. That’s a frustrating combination, and it’s clear the stay didn’t meet expectations, especially for the price point. I’m glad to hear our team member was able to assist when you called, but the overall experience should have been far smoother from the start. We appreciate you highlighting these points so we can address them with the team and work on improvements. Best, Bachcare Reputation and Resolutions Team

Great location and views but dated

The home dates to the 1970s and shows every year of its vintage. The decorations, furnishings and appliances are similarly aged, but mostly functional, aside from the quirky doors and power circuitry that regularly trips the safety switches in the well concealed switch board. There's a morning aroma of antique shop that can be dissipated a little with ventilation. The house is perched on a steep slope overlooking the lake. The space is good, the location is great and the balcony and views are outstanding. Whether these can compensate for the property's shortcomings is a matter of personal taste and expectations. For our family of six, probably not.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We truly appreciate your honest feedback, and we’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the location, the views, and the spaciousness of the property. The setting and balcony are definitely among the property’s standout features, and we’re happy that you were able to take in the beautiful surroundings. We also understand that the vintage character of the house might not have been the best fit for your family. Thank you again for sharing your experience with us. We’re sorry that the property didn’t fully meet your expectations, and we appreciate your insights as they help us improve. We hope that, despite these challenges, you were still able to enjoy the stunning views and the overall space.

Absolutely stunning view! A very comfortable house with all the amenities we needed. Very close to town and a stone throw away from the beach. Made it a lovely Christmas and would definitely stay there again.

Great location, just a 10 min walk from town. Beautiful views. Fairly priced. We stayed mid-summer, nice and warm temperatures. Was hot inside but aircon available. Would stay again.

We loved this bach for a family stay.

We loved this bach for a family stay. Spacious and comfortable. The conservatory was warm in the sun and wonderful in the late afternoon and early evening. Although the house has the potential to be cold, there are many heating options with the heat pump, wood fire and individual heaters, plus electric blankets. Superb location overlooking the lake, and an easy walk to n centre.
