シャドーランドリバーロッジは約トラヴァースシティのダウンタウンから12マイル南東。 33エーカーの私有地の中心近くに位置し、ボードマン川沿いに1,300フィート以上の間口があります。 元のキャビン構造は1929年に建設され、後年、キッチン、ダイニングエリア、フルバスルーム、ウォークインクローゼット、ユーティリティルーム、川沿いのメインベッドルームが追加されました。 シャドーランドリバーロッジは現在、最大8名まで宿泊できます。メインベッドルームにはクイーンベッド、メインのログキャビンには二段ベッド、ダブルサイズの布団があります。 季節ごとに、2人がロフトで寝ることができます。ロフトには屋外の入り口があります。 また、シャドウランドリバーロッジのユニークな点は、家族や友人がテントやポップアップキャンパーを敷地内に設置できることです。 これにより、家族全員が本質的に自分のプライベートキャンプ場を楽しむことができます。

Hello Fellow Travelers. Unless you have like major issues or something you will Love this place. There is a calm and comfort here that's hard to find. Loaded with stuff. You only need to bring clothes and what you want to eat. There was popcorn and coffee too. And "all the wood you can burn". Be assured of that. Fun and lots of it. Even had educational things like Game of Thrones. I learned a lot when I was there. The Netflix channel is 302.

Another Perfect Fall Getaway! Just returned from my 5th year in a row at Shadowland River Lodge and as usual, it was the perfect experience! Jason and Nicole are the absolute best hosts, and this year, the new hot tub just added to the total relaxation and zen of the property. We ventured out this year to do wine tastings on both peninsulas as well as one of the local cruises on the water to enjoy the beautiful October scenery. The best part of venturing out during the day is returning to the house in the evening for the hot tub, fire pit and cozy fireplace in the living room. My dogs seem to sense when we are close by on the drive in every year and start howling in the car with delight. The feeling of peace and relaxation keep me coming back every year! Thank you again Jason & Nicole for your warm hospitality. Looking forward to returning next year, already!

Lovely stay again. It is so obvious how much pride Jason and Nicole have in sharing this remarkable cabin. Hot tub is a great addition and each year gets better and our trip gets longer. Cabin has all you can ask for and amenities you don’t expect, paper goods, soap, toiletries, trash bags, laundry detergent. They have it all covered. And…the river.. so peaceful and relaxing. You feel as though you’ve left it all behind. I’ve never seen my dog and husband so happy!

Shadowland River Lodge exceeded our expectations. The pictures don't quite capture how truly special the entire property is. We were reminded of our stay at the Lake Placid Lodge. Fantastic property!! It was very helpful that Jason met us on arrival and explained details of the cabin and the area. He is super helpful, responsive and very kind! Thank you Jason! The kitchen and dining area are stocked completely with anything needed for cooking and prepping meals. There are lots of coffee cups and wine glasses . Lots of spices. It’s so nice to have an adequate amount of paper towels, TP , napkins and dish soap. There was bug spray and lots of wood for the firepit. The laundry room was a great place for the dogs to stay in their crates when we went out.

This was our second time staying at Shadowland Lodge, and it’s officially our favorite getaway spot! The cabin is beautiful, peaceful, and has everything you need to relax — tubing on the river, hot tub, fire pit, scenic walks, and plenty of space for games and family time.We especially love that we can bring our dog, who had just as much fun exploring as we did. The host provides so many thoughtful touches that make the cabin feel like home. Can’t wait to come back!

Our stay at Shadowland Lodge was perfect for our family and small dog. The lodge was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The running river beside the lodge was a favorite spot—especially for our dog who couldn’t get enough of it. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway.

Peace and Tranquility at Shadowland River Lodge

This was our first time vacationing on the Boardman River and the Shadowland River Lodge was the best of everything. The location, the feel of a true log cabin, and all the amenities that anyone would need. The lodge and kitchen were stocked with everything we needed. The new hot tub was amazing. We spent most of our time just relaxing on the lawn next to the river, tubing on the river and walking the property. Upon arrival at the lodge the owners greeted us and showed us everything that we needed to know for our vacation. We would definitely come back to the Shadowland Lodge and highly recommend to anyone that enjoys peace and tranquility.

A Wonderful Mini-Vacation

This is our fourth time staying at the Shadow Lodge and it just keeps getting better. Great experience from start to finish. We love the vintage decor and the history of this wonderful home. Each time we come we appreciate it and its owners even more. This will be the first time when it was actually warm enough to soak our feet in the river and watch our rescue dog catch a fish! Looking forward to returning sometime soon!

Getaway was Perfect

This was our third time at Shadowland. It was another incredible vacation that went all too quickly. Jason the host was perfect and we loved our stay. The kitchen is a great delight...everything we could want to cook up a tasty meal. The grounds are so beautiful and spending time by the river with our new adopted dog was so special. The hosts were responsive and made us feel like welcome from the very start.

Fantastic Family Meetup in the land of Turquoise Waters

Our families met up with two kids and two dogs to check out Sleeping Dunes National Lakeshore and the area, we found this to be cozy, cute and comfortable; perfect for what we needed. It was clean, comfortable furniture and beds and has everything you need to cook at home. Well stocked with indoor and outdoor games. The hosts were wonderful. We loved the hot tub, the giant fireplace and the river view! This is a gorgeous private forest getaway and we all would highly recommend it. We will be back!

Amazing stay

This was an absolutely amazing stay. Check-in was easy, Jason met us at the house, which was a nice and unique touch. The house is in a beautiful setting, very clean and Jason had everything ready for us. He truly made it feel as if it was our home for the weekend. It was a Mother’s Day getaway and we just lounge around the fire pit listening to the sounds of the babbling river and the crackling fire. We went out to eat a couple times in Traverse City and other than that just relaxed. The hot tub was amazing. My wife enjoyed reading one of the books that was left in the living room about the history of Boardman River.This was an excellent day and we will definitely be back. We loved every minute of it.

Phenomenal Cabin!

Once we explored the cabin and property, everyone agreed that this place was the best placed we ever stayed. Starting with meeting the hosts (Jason and Nicole) for a quick rundown of the property, btw the nicest hosts and very responsive if you have any questions, they showed us around and even set up the fire pit and fireplace all we had to do was light it up and enjoy. Not to outshine the hosts but the property is the real star. From the views, the fire pit/place, the river, the cozy feel and decorations everything is fantastic. This place has everything from interesting books, board games, blue tooth speaker, a hot tub!!!Jason and Nicole make the check out process incredible easy and stress free. I know this place will be talked about between us for a long time and we all agreed that we will be coming back to the property.

Nicole and I met in grade school and married in 1991 here in Traverse City. Settling down first in Leelanau County before moving into Traverse City. Nicole has been a local REALTOR® for over 25 years and with Coldwell Banker Schmidt for most of those years. She also obtained her bachelors degree from Ferris State University. She has been immersed in the Vacation Rental Management industry since her earliest of years in Glen Arbor, MI - then working for her parents at Harris Properties, Inc. She sat on the board of VRMA (Vacation Rental Management Association) in the mid 1990s. I myself earned an Associates Degree from Northwestern Michigan College and started a career in Criminal Justice in 1992 with the Leelanau County Sheriff's office up until resigning in 2005 to pursue my own local Vacation Rental Company which I still operate today. We have two daughters, Ashley and Emily, now both graduated from High School. Ashley is a recent 2019 graduate from Michigan State University (bio-medical) while Emily is in her 2nd year at Lansing Community College exploring her opportunities.
