家は湖への緩やかな斜面にあり、サンポーチと屋外デッキの両方からの景色を眺めることができます。 サンポーチは、内側のスクリーンで窓を開けるオプションで囲まれ、ツリーハウスにいるような感覚の中で素晴らしいクロスブリーズを可能にします。

Summer vacation

Rustic 3 bedroom with extra gathering areas. Beautiful section of lake Lanier with new dbl dock, kayaks, slips with moderate walk to the water. Owners reasonable and friendly.

living the Dream

went for a 2 day stay for a Graduation Party.....2 days is the tip of the iceberg,wish we could have stayed at leasta week! The house was perfect & compfy, comp;etely full of supplies The location was the BEST!! All we needed to take was our clothes and relax. Wonderful host!!!! Perfect Father/Son Lake Weekend!

Bottom line, this house was fantastic for a father/son long lake weekend - it's got everything we needed for a comfortable and adventure-filled stay with no need to bounce back/forth to get groceries, etc. (Instacart delivers!) Coming from Milton, this spot was <30 minutes away. The double-decker dock is brand new and in great shape - the Polywood furniture for the sunny top and the shaded bottom was great as was the top-level sun shade; my boys used the kayaks and inflatable tubes all weekend. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking unless you use specific spices, and the house had brand-new Roku TVs that were easy to use as well as an older Xbox for the boys. There are really nice touches: umbrellas on the deck covering the dining area and the grill (two full propane tanks were provided); flashlights and lanterns for evening trips to the dock; a new portable Bluetooth speaker for the lake/deck; a large deck cooler to keep the inside refrigerator for only food, etc.; access to a STIHL electric leaf blower upon request to the owner; washer/dryer that is Speed Queen (i.e., FAST washing and drying) if needed; and all the paper products and cleaning supplies I needed. The enclosed porch was great to enjoy - be sure to crank open the windows to let in a cool morning or evening breeze off the lake. The owners communicated quickly when I had questions, and I will definitely book again as it really simplified how much stuff you have to bring.

Pleasant hosts and nice location but the property needs maintenance

I selected this location because it is close in proximity to Atlanta, GA (50 minutes) and it is also located on Lake Lanier. Another plus is that local grocery shopping and restaurants are only 10 minutes away. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed that the AC was not functioning properly, and the house had a musty/moldy smell. I contacted the Dorothy the next morning because the humidity levels in the house felt extremely high (basically the ac was cooling but not taking the humidity out of the air). Her husband provided two dehumidifiers by lunchtime which helped tremendously but had to be regularly emptied for the course of our remaining four days. Apparently, the problem with the AC was a longstanding problem and a dehumidifier unit (to be integrated into the AC system) was actually delivered the week we were staying in the house. If I had been aware of this problem, I would have never rented the house. Other items to note: Stairs going into the master suite were awkward and did not appear to be up to code, Roku on various TV's did not regularly work and the one in the room with the bunk beds never worked. Overall being on the lake is what saved our vacation. Kayaks were available for use and provided for a fun experience. The walk to the dock was a little longer than I expected and some of the deck boards are rotted and need replacing. The host provided beanie wafers and a bottle of wine which was a nice touch.

Perfect location for family vacation and boating

This was our second time at this property and we loved our stay there - position on the lake and boat dock for our boat is fabulous and the house comfortable and well supplied. My husband and I had the suite on the lower floor and our grandchildren and their parents had the first floor which worked well. I recommend this property.

Greatest cabin trip

This is one of the best cabin trips we’ve been on. A lot of water activities to do, the double deck is a perfect place to chill. House is comfortable, spacious and very clean. Host Dorothy, is super nice and will respond to questions very fast.

Wonderful Family Vacation

Great location on Lake Lanier - the two-story deck was fantastic. House was comfortable with plenty of space for our family of six. Owner was very helpful and easy to get hold of. Highly recommend this house.

The property was great! The walk down to the lake was easy. The double boat dock was perfect for our group to use during the day. We enjoyed the large tables inside the house to use for our meals. Thank you for providing the opportunity to use.

Relaxing.

The property was located in a perfect spot. We did enjoy the lake. It rained much of the time. The bushes in the driveway were very overgrown. My husband worried about scratches in his new car. The other negative comments would be how there was too many of owners items everywhere. We could barely fit our clothes or bathroom items or kitchen supplies. It seamed like we were imposing on a family’s vacation. I understand the pollen was highly active this time of year, but the outside dwellings were dirty. It just seemed that someone would’ve gone that day to clean and sweep things off. It wasn’t very welcoming! We appreciate you sharing your home. Just expressing my personal thoughts.

Lovely setting

Great location

Loved our stay in Dawsonville. The house was even better than described, very comfortable with all the amenities. Close to restaurants and shops. 40 min drive to Helen and 20 min to Dahlonega. Will look to stay here in the summer as the double decker boat ramp looked inviting.

Memorial tribute

Had a family memorial on the 1 yr passing of my wife of 55yrs & stayed here 4 wonderful days. Dorothy was extremely sensitive to our ceremony by providing additional leeway in areas not normally given - check in & check out.Very responsive to any questions. The home is stocked with EVERYTHING you’d find in any normal home, it has a real comfortable & relaxing feel to it both indoors, the outdoor fire pit area & the double decker boat dock.All type of instructions are available as to using electronics etc etc. plus everything works as they should. This is a REALLY GREAT rental to be considered if you want easy lake access. Dorothy, Thanks for all your courtesy!

Fantastic Lake House

We enjoyed this property very much and would definitely rent here again! This house was equipped with everything we needed and has plenty of space for a family The brand new boat dock was perfect for our boat and we enjoyed floating around in the cove and kayaking!

Relaxing and restorative

After several months of unrelenting challenges and transitions, our famiky was blessed to spend a long weekend at this property. The abundant trees surrounding the house gave us a feeling of seclusion, but we loved being so close to stores and shopping. Having lake access and the use of kayaks allowed all of us to spend time in and on the water, and we enjoyed relaxing in the sunroom each evening. Dorothy made the check in process seamless and communicated clearly. The only things to be aware of are a tricky front door knob, steep steps downstairs to the master bedroom, and quite a few stairs to the lake with an older ladder off the dock. We felt rested and relaxed after our weekend here!

Absolutely Wonderful!!

We had a wonderful trip with the family for Father’s Day weekend. The house is cozy and perfect, fully equipped and in the best spot on the lake AND sooo close to 400, 53 and all the shopping centers. Everything was wonderful and if that alone wasn’t enough, add to that the owner Dorothy, was so sweet and helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be back, we are all excited to try the new dock when it arrives! Thank you for a wonderful, memorable weekend!!

We have enjoyed our Lake Lanier home over 40 yrs with our 2 sons and so many of our friends. Whether it was swimming, boating, water skiing or just lounging on the dock and in the house, so many memories have been made here. Our oldest son built a new large deck and an lovely sun porch that everyone has truly enjoyed. The view is lovely during all seasons. We are happy to share this 'Escape' with all who decide to visit and come to relax and enjoy in all seasons of the year!!!!! May it will be your happy place as it has been for us!!

This property is an easy trip from Atlanta and surrounding areas. The house is only 5-7 minutes off GA 400 and close to restaurants, grocery stores and outlet shopping.
Whether you want to come for a business retreat, private meeting area or just a weekend away this is the perfect place.The parking is generous for 4 cars on a flat driveway. There are only 5 steps to the decking and into the house. The home is comfortable and relaxed for an enjoyable time. The walk to the dock is gentle and has stairs with dual handrails. There are 2 slips for boats or jet skis.During the Fall we have a firepit on the grounds, a wood fireplace in the main sitting area and the sunporch has screens for a great cross breeze. We provide the wood for the firepit and fireplace.
The kitchen is fully equipped with new cabinets and equipment. Linens and towels are provided.
There is a new washer and dryer available. There are TVs on the sun porch, living area ( large screen for movies and game watching) and in master bedroom and queen bedroom with wi-fi throughout and HD. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 baths - one king, one queen and one bunk bed set with a trundle.
The view from the deck and sun porch are enjoyable with seating for meals in each area.
The closeness to Atlanta with only a 45 minute drive has made this very enjoyable for all of us. The development of restaurants, shopping, etc. through the years has made it very nice to enjoy the lake and not worry about forgetting anything we might need. Our sons have enjoyed hiking in the area beside the water sports and boating.

Over the 40 plus years we have had this home, we have enjoyed gardening, finishing off the grounds, adding a new deck and sun porch as well as installing the stairs to the lake for easy access along with a new 2-story deck on the dock in July 2022! The firepit in any season is wonderful. Firewood is provided.
The furnishings are comfortable throughout and many times there are people staying in the sun room especially enjoying the panoramic 'tree house' view of the lake. The deck with the seating area for meals is a special place for gathering at all times of the day. The gas grill is frequently used for all the outdoor cooking. During the early Spring, Winter and Fall the wood burning fireplace is a hit along with the firepit outside.
The cove is quiet and wonderful for swimming, fishing, lounging on the dock, kayacking or boating and skiing. The walk back to the house is only minutes away.
Whether you would like a few days away from the city with your friends or family, or want to spend a week relaxing and enjoying the north Georgia countryside, this is a special place that will allow you to escape to a special retreat. My sons remind me it is a great place for their friends to gather and truly enjoy themselves all seasons of the year.
