A lovely apartment, extremely well situated close to town centre and marina.Very comfortable bed and all facilities provided. Abundance of toilet roll, dishwasher tablets, washing powder etc. Great kitchen as we cooked fresh fish quite a bit over our 8 night stay. Would stay again if in Faro

The check in was so poorly organized that we ended up staying at a hotel the first night. The owner had offered an airport pick up and tour. We had accepted and sent our flight information 6 days earlier. We waited 2 hrs at airport for pick up, sending multiple messages to the owner and attempting chat and asking for help through the chat function in the app. No response We took a cab to the building but could not get in because no keys available, no doorbell available outside and no answer to numerous messages. We found a hotel and the owner finally reached out to us 5.5 hrs AFTER our arrival. He then gave us the access code to the apartment lock box. We stayed at the hotel overnight as it was already paid for and we had been traveling for over 38 hrs at that point.It was a lovely place. Not pleased at response

Our stay was excellent! The apartment was just as described and the beautiful downtown area near the marina is a short walk away. We felt safe walking to and from on the evening and the day. The apartment is on the fourth floor. Lots of stairs to walk and carry luggage. Inside is very spacious and super clean. The long, outdoor balcony was lovely. We found street parking easily. Check in was simple and check out was too. The door needs patience to open using the key. It’s is vintage and requires some practice. Our host was very kind and helpful.

Hébergement très bien situé près des activités, des commerces et des restaurants.Un parking gratuit et très grand est à cinq bonnes minutes à pied.Ivan est très réactif quand nous avons une demande.Felisbela est particulièrement à l’écoute et assure le transfert pour l’aeroport, quelle que soit l’heure avec énormément de gentillesse et une bonne humeur constante.Bref, nous avons trouvé un hébergement parfait pour ce que nous recherchions.

Faro Perfect

The apartment is perfectly situated in a quiet building on the edge of old town. Could not be a more perfect location to access local restaurants, shopping, and activities all within walking distance. Multiple groceries, train/bus station, and fabulous municipal fish market are all close by. The marina is just a 5 minute walk. The apartment is exactly as pictured. Clean, all the amenities for a long stay. Couldn't have been happier. Highly recommend!

Cute Little Place

Really cute place. Very clean, two balconies that get sun most of the day. Not the most ideal kitchenware if you plan to cook while you’re visiting but you’re near grocery stores/markets and restaurants. The location is pretty nice, near the marina and the bus & train station. Bella was amazing to work with and knowledgeable about anything you could need.

Cute apartment and good location

We enjoyed our time in Faro and enjoyed the apartment. The unit worked out very well. We are used to a clothes dryer but there is a line set up on the one balcony and it was perfect for drying clothes. We would certainly come back to this unit. It has everything that you need. We only had to contact the host once but we got a quick response

Perfect location

Easy walk from train station. All information was accurate. Perfect location to everything. The front door is hard to open but don’t give up, it eventually works. And if you run out of hot water just be sure to tell the owner so he can refill gas tank. Definitely would stay here again. Communication was perfect.

Excellent property and location and great communication.

Communication from Ivan the host was excellent and done via WhatsApp. We were met at the airport for a small charge by the lovely Felisbela. She gave us a quick tour of the centre of the town which was useful to get our bearings. She also told us that we could contact her if we had any issues which was nice. The property is very central and the town is easy to walk about. The coach station is very near and this was useful for our onward journey. The property was very clean and spacious with a nice little veranda area. We enjoyed our stay very much and we would stay here again if we were back in Faro.

Fabulous Time

We really enjoyed our stay. All of the amenities Ivan provided made it so nice and easy to get settled in. We would recommend this apt to everyone. Very cozy and wonderful location!

Be mindful of additional requirements and fees

Convenient location. However, the listing did not mention having to provide passport info prior to arrival in order to get check-in details. I was uncomfortable providing the info, and I was not even in physical possession of my passport at the time as I was picking it up in another city en route (this was a somewhat last minute trip--and I booked about a week and a half before I traveled). I told the owner I would provide the info upon arrival, had the friend who was joining me forward their info, but this was still not enough. I was told it would be 25 euro for an assistant to collect that passport info on behalf of the owner, then the owner posted an additional fee of 30 euro to the booking. I had my office fax a copy of my passport and sent that to the owner a couple days before my arrival--which he confirmed receiving and finally provided the check-in info. Nearly a month after the trip and I am still being asked to pay the owner 30 euro...for a service that was not provided...for a requirement that was not included in the listing. I have reported it to VRBO, but they have been of little assistance. I found no magic here--just unexpected pre- (and now post)-trip stress at a time that was very busy for me.

Beautiful stay

Beautiful property in a very central location. We were able to cook in using the good assortment of dishes/ cooking utensils or be seated at an excellent restaurant in a few minutes. We saw a lot of the gorgeous city, beach and sanctuary as well as visiting local cork factory. The only drawback was that it was on the 3rd floor so the stairs was sometimes a challenge at the end of a long day. But the view! Worth it.

Great Location, Not Great Parking

The apartment was clean, the beds were comfortable, there was a nice small terrace and it was in a good location for downtown Faro. The tricky part was the parking. It’s on-street and metered but the meter’s don’t take credit cards or paper euros, only coins. Or you can use an app but you have to have a bank account at a specific bank which we did not have. There is a free, large municipal parking lot by the Castelo which is about a 8-10 minute walk away so we ended up parking there.

The location is perfect! Its close to restaurants, necessities, etc. Ivan is an extremely gracious and responsive host. Our stay was perfect. We’d recommend this place if you’re visiting Faro.
