We (my husband, my 10-year son and myself) stayed for 13 days to complete our mandatory quarantine requirements. The house is really comfortable and homey and well set up for a family. We loved the back yard and rooftop deck. The family room at the back of the house is a great place to watch movies and play video games. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need to make meals. The owners are super friendly and helpful.
Overall, a great stay. We would recommend to others, particularly those with children.

Lovely neighborhood
Quarantining for two weeks before taking our daughter to UBC. Home was well appointed, clean and well laid out. Neighborhood was great (what little we could see!) and Jonathan, Kathy and Leslie were very helpful. Had a great stay!

Cute East Vancouver Home
Very convenient, cozy, well-equipped home. We appreciated the close proximity to transit, to trout lake community center and to Commercial Dr. The owners are very welcoming and laid back. The A/C was fantastic in the hot weather!

Two week stay in Vancouver
We thoroughly enjoyed this beautifully maintained character home in Vancouver. Jonathan and his wife made us feel at home and the only problem we encountered . ....was leaving! A beautiful home and lovely neighbourhood.

That picture was taken in 2016 in front of Salmon Glacier, near Hyder Alaska. We bought a 1981 Chevy RV and travelled 9500km through our wonderful province of British Columbia to Dawson City Yukon, and then back down the other side of BC. It was an amazing way to spend time with our young family, while another family was enjoying our home and everything the city of Vancouver offers.

This house is situated in an area that gives a glimpse at what city communities are capable of. The dead end street is quiet from traffic, but alive with the vigours of a community in the middle of Canada's second largest city. You are 8 minutes walk from the skytrain, 20 minutes walk from commercial drive where the ethnic cuisine possibilities are endless and 4 minutes walk from the enormous John Hendry Park, which hosts Vancouver's major Trout Lake Farmers Market every Saturday from 9:00 - 2:00, and has a lifeguarded lake with a concession, a fully equipped Community Center, tennis courts, basketball and road hockey court. A network of bike routes passes right through the John Hendry Park where you can access the seawall to get to Granville Island, English Bay and Stanley Park with little or no riding on city streets.

The house has an old brick chimney going right up through the center of the house, and big old local fir posts and beam separating the living room from the kitchen. An AC unit has been added to keep the house a comfortable temperature as our summers heat up. Combined with the nine foot ceilings you have an open space while also maintaining a cozy cottage feel. We love how the back family room and it's eight foot windows flows into the back yard, especially with our two and four year old's adventurous zeal. Most of the summer is spent with that back door open. On a nice evening, the large upper deck equipped with a big solid table and a sun shade lends a great view over John Hendry Park to the North Shore Mountains. This is the spot to go over the day's experiences, while sipping on a warm or cool drink. You'll love it.
