Our family of 5(mom, dad, and 3 young adult children) felt like royalty staying here for our week in Florence. Monica graciously waited for and communicated with us while we dealt with lost baggage at the airport. While it was more space than we needed, it provided everyone a place to have alone time from each other after long days of sightseeing and we all had our own bathrooms! The history of this building (former embassy) and the painted ceilings added to the grandeur. Having a kitchen, pod single cup coffee maker, washer and dryer, refrigerator/freezer allowed us to keep some groceries at home and sleep in and not always have to find a place to eat. A large grocery store was about a 6-8 minute walk away and there was a cart we could take with us to carry everything home in.
Monica was very attentive and helpful, and even received one of our lost bags at her office for us so we didn't miss a day of sightseeing. The beds are all very firm (which we liked) except the bed in the master bedroom (it was much softer but our son liked that). We did have mosquitos in the house which is par for the course in Florence in June. One shower was not working and Monica had that fixed in a few days for us.
The location was quiet and residential, It was totally walkable from center city, but every time we reached the Galleria Accademia building, we wished we were home.
We highly recommend this professionally kept VRBO apartment. Loved our stay and Loved Florence!
