Ideal location

Perfect location to enjoy both sides of the Douro River. Very comfortable for our group of three couples.

Gaia- The best side of the river

We loved the location. Honestly Gaia is a a great place to stay. We were nervous about being across the river but so glad we selected this location. It is Surrounded by restaurants and wine cellars but still quiet. The unit was very clean and well stocked. The host was good in responding to our questions. Check in was a bit tricky because we arrived around 10:30pm. In the evening the street in front of the building becomes a pedestrian walkway and metal posts blocked our entry. In the daylight we figured a way in. This is not the fault of anyone just an observation The only negatives were related to the online listing. It says Parking available in one spot and onsite parking in another. It also says there was a dryer. These were key reasons we selected the property. There is no dryer which turned out not to be a big deal but the parking is in a garage 100m away and cost us 159 euros for 4.5 days. It would have been nice knowing in advance about the additional cost. It may have impacted our choice but in the end the location was spectacular. The 5 star rating is tough. I would prefer giving it a 9 out of 10.

Lovely place!

We had a great stay in Gaia! The apartment was a good fit for six adults and the location is busy and vibrant with good nightlife and plenty to do.

Great location

This apartment was wonderful. It was well equipped with everything you needed. The location was great...easy walking to restaurants, marketplaces, wine cellars and much more! My only recommendation is that the front windows in the 2 bedrooms could use darking curtains at night . Communication with Nuno was great! I highly recommend this place!

3 days in Vila Nova de Gaia

Great Location - close to San Luis bridge for an amazing walk across to Porto. Uno was very helpful and friendly! Apartment needs more ventilation. Could use more amenities sush as toiletries and kitchen linens. Overall it worked great for our group of seven friends of 50 years.

Great place very close to the river…

I like the Gaia side, a little quieter the the Porto side but has all you could want w the port houses, cafes etc. easy walk across bridge to Porto if you want Apartment was very nice. Clean, lots of room, nicely decorated. Good host

Excellently located and beautifully decorated, fully refurbished apartment in the heart of Porto

The Port Houses and on your doorstep and wine region within the Douro valley is in easy reach. I would recommend this splendid apartment for anyone wishing a short break in Porto which caters for up to 8 people, with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, which is within easy reach from the airport also by metro and cable car which are both a must. Great restaurants and bars are on your doorstep all overlooking the river if you require. A fabulous place and lovely owners who can't do enough for you.....
