David was a great communicator, the flat was as described and accurately presented in the listing. The location and proximity to public transport and shopping. The local area is quiet, and Portobello road was a pleasant 15 minute walk away.

This Notting Hill flat was very well located and really close to a tube station. The apartment was mostly very comfortable but we did have a few issues which we have let the owner know about. He was very receptive and happy to have our feedback. All in all it makes for a good place to stay while visiting London.

Zuerst das Gute vorweg: die Wohnung ist geräumig wie beschrieben und der Gastgeber war immer erreichbar und hat unsere Fragen zügig beantwortet.Leider entsprach die Unterkunft weder den Bildern noch unseren Erwartungen. Das Wohnzimmer war ganztags dunkel, weil die Bäume im Garten kein Licht mehr durchließen. Die Wohnung war nur oberflächlich sauber aber die Fenster, die Küchenschränke und die Terrasse waren dreckig. Der Eingangsbereich vom Haus war vermüllt, dort liefen Ratten herum. Unsere Schlafzimmertür ließ sich nicht schließen. Der Teppich an der Treppe hing teilweise lose runter. Und wenn das alles nicht schlimm genug war, hat jemand mitten in der Nacht eine Kugel durch das Fenster neben der Haustür gejagt. Ab diesem Zeitpunkt fühlten wir uns allerdings sicher, weil die Polizei die Gegend wegen versuchten Mordes beobachtet hat.

The property was wonderful and so close to the train station. It had everything we needed and David was very helpful if anything went wrong. The location was lovely and via the metro got us everywhere we needed in a reasonable amount of time. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable. There was a great amount of space compared to other places in London that are often cramped or much more .

Pleasant three-week stay in London

We stayed in David's lovely Notting Dale flat for three weeks in June. The location is superb: right next to the Tube (Circle and Hammersmith and City lines), and a peaceful, shady ten-minute walk to Portobello Road. We were able to get everywhere we needed to go with ease. The neighborhood itself, however, was not at all touristy, and we really enjoyed that. Lots of families and kind people to meet in the green space in front of the building. There are two local co-op grocery stores nearby, plus more grocery options an easy bus or tube ride away (we liked the Tesco superstore in Hammersmith, accessible by the 295 bus).The flat itself is spacious, though not luxurious. Two bedrooms are fairly small, with bunk beds in each. Two rooms are bigger, with queen-sized beds. All rooms have nice windows looking out on the square and are fairly comfortable. The rooms get hot in the morning sun. Like most London apartments, there is no air-conditioning in this flat.David is a highly responsive host. When the washing machine broke in the first week of our stay, he quickly took action and got it sorted out. We also had a slow drain, which he also helpfully took care of.

Very spacious and comfortable. Lovely private back garden.

The property was as described. Plenty of room for a group. Bathrooms are small and only one shower, but if you can negotiate bathing times, it works!

Great location

This apartment was located very near the tube, which was very convenient. It was close to restaurants. The owner was very responsive, and it was easy to check-in. The apartment was a bit dated in terms of amenities. We were able to find fans, but it would be warm inside during hot months since there is no air conditioning. Overall, a great stay on a budget!

Would not recommend

Flat is in north Kensington not Nottinghill as advertised. To start with positive was relative spacious and close to tube station. Now the negatives, which unfortunately were so many. Certainly was not what was advertised. Listing shows renovated, only room partially renovated is upstairs bathroom. The rest of the accomodation is dated, musty and dusty. Washing machine doesn’t work and left us with wet clothes on the day we departed. Carpet old, pulling away in sections, doors missing handles etcAppears to be social/community housing block of flats. Pile of Mail from revenue and customs and housing department. Limited restaurants nearby. Would not stay again or recommend.

Location, location, location

The location was very convenient to the London tube. Two of the beds were uncomfortable to the point of not being able to be slept on. Other rooms, except the kitchen, were worn. Carpet on the stairs was worn and in one spot loose. While the convenience of the apartment was excellent the neighborhood was loud and raucous.

Avoid if you can

We were extremely disappointed. The listing does not convey how decrepit the building and place are. It smells, the bedroom doors cannot close, dishes and cutlery were dirty, the bedsheets of one bed, though clean, were stained, and the neighbours are noisy to 3am (the listing warns to be quiet yourself). This said, the check in process worked as described, we had three sets of keys, and it is very close to the Latimer station.

Convenient location

While at the co-op at 8:30am grabbing a few breakfast items, my husband saw someone trying to steal. He witnessed the store keeper and the thief brawl while the storekeeper was trying to retrieve the items. The people surrounding the home were loud but it was hot so we opened the windows. Convenient location but not our favorite spot.

Pleasant Stay

We enjoyed our week-long stay at this flat. The property was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The living and dining room were large enough for all of us to congregate. The underground is a very short walk and there are 2 markets close by for incidentals. One stop on the underground and you are at the area mall.

Great location

We had a great stay! David was very responsive and provided very clear instructions for everything. The location was great, very convenient to the tube and a quick walk to Portobello Road. The apartment had everything we needed and was way more than enough space for our group (4 adults). Highly recommend!

London Break

A group of 7 of us stayed (girlie family break) for 3 nights. The owner was helpful with the booking from start to finish and answered any questions we had quickly. The flat is ideally located as it's a 2 minute walk to the tube station that takes you in and around London. The flat was clean and roomy for us all. We would highly recommend and would use again. Thanks again.
