We chose this apartment for two reasons: the location, which is our favorite neighborhood in Florence; and the rooftop terrace, which offers panoramic views of the city. It did not disappoint. We had a lovely stay, and all of the amenities were as described. We enjoyed being just steps away from two great coffee shops, a terrific restaurant, an excellent sandwich place, and a small bar with specialty drinks. The apartment gave us adequate space to bring food and drinks back and enjoy them in the dining area or on the terrace. The kitchen/refrigerator were also fine for our stay. There is a grocery store near the Ponte Vecchio and we bought staples for our stay and kept them in the fridge. The washing machine as was also good, and our clothes dried within a day. A couple of tips: bring enough clothes (including pajamas) so that you are not without anything important for a day while they are drying. Also, you must be able to climb two small sets of stairs in the apartment to get to the upstair bedroom and then the rooftop terrace. We did not find this difficult at all. The elevator takes you to the third floor and you have to then climb two short sets of stairs in the buildings central stairhall to get to the apartment. Make sure you can carry your heavy luggage that far. I did let the host know that a coffeemaker and a toaster would go a long way to make the apartment more livable, but these were not a big deal for us. We also found the host and the caretakers very responsive.
