Beautiful Relaxing Seaside Getaway

This property was perfect for our little family's needs! It was clean and conveniently located, decor was quaint, and you can just see and hear the ocean from the balcony. A quick walk up the dunes and there you are at the beach! The outside shower and hose was very convenient for sandy kids, though we did notice some rusted nails stick up in places outside and the "hot" knob in the outdoor shower was broken off, but we got it to work. Overall this place was a blessing to our family. Would love to come back!

Perfect Getaway

This was our second time staying in this cute, cozy, and convenient little house on the beach. Just the right size for our little family and so nice to be able to walk right onto the beach. We love this place. The only minor complaint I have is the rusty door latch on the outdoor shower. You have to be careful opening the door because of that and we certainly wouldn't let the kids touch it. Other than that I highly recommend staying at this place.

Plenty of space, beach front yet not beach-view

Perfect rental for family of 4. The kids room (w 2 twin beds) has a deep closet & little cove walkway to closet. It would prob fit a pack & play and extra air mattress (twin) if your family needed. We reserved it again for next year! The dune between the beach and the house was HUGE and we could not see the beach from our porch. We were not bothered by this. Had a great vacation! Check out the ice cream sandwiches at Sunrise Seafood Market. You're welcome ;)

Basic Beach

This place has the basics and it’s beach/dune front. It worked well for our family of four plus it was pet friendly. Our dog enjoyed greeting the neighbor's dog through the slates between the deck, and our kids also enjoyed talking up the neighbors that way as well. It is a duplex so hopefully the neighbors you get while staying there are nice ones or for more privacy look elsewhere.

Attention to cleaning

The critical issue was the shower curtain had mold growing on it. Thank goodness I had Lysol to spray on it until it could be replaced the next day. Sticky stuff still on kitchen table. The stairs looked like they haven’t been moped in weeks. Crumbs laying on living room and kitchen floor. There was no closet in master bedroom. In the other BR there was a closet with NO bar, nothing I took could be hung up. In the BR there were 2 tiny plastic hooks for towels, they barely held a hand towel. No place to dry bath towels. This was a duplex so there was another family beside us. The insulation was so bad we could hear stuff when they were there. It would have been nice if there were darkening shades in BR, it woke us up about 6 each morning because of the light. I could go on and on...

Budget and Beach!

If you are looking for a simple, budget-friendly beach-front place, this may suit your needs. It is bare-bones in terms of ammenities - no pool, no books, no games. But it is right on the beach, lots of natural light in the living area. Everything works, it had what we needed,. The bathroom was truly the biggest issue. It is quite old, all of the faucets were leaky, and if you have young kids who require a bath, the tub doesn’t have a working drain so you would be stuck with showers. For us, it was no big deal - it all worked, it just isn’t super pretty and new. The rental company, Dolphin Reality, kept us up to date on a regular basis even through the covid issue. I would work with Dolphin again.
