My wife and sister-in-law stayed here for 4 days/3 nights. When we arrived and checked in by Alissa (who was very sweet and helpful). We were told we had to pay a “guest tax” which was €12 per person, in cash, so that was unexpected, as we had already paid €36 in taxes when we booked the listing. It was warm out while we were there. The first night we couldn’t find the remotes for the air conditioning units, so we decided to sleep with the windows open hoping it would become more comfortable to sleep. It did not. I messaged the key keeper, Alissa, the next day about the remotes, and did not receive communication as to where they were until the NEXT day. Turns out, the cleaning ladies had them somewhere and had to deliver them to us, after spending most of our stay without air conditioning. It was frustrating because there was no direct communication with “the agency” who owned or managed the property, only 3 or 4 different people, two of which did not respond while we were having the issue with the AC. I even tried to contact the host directly through the VRBO app and still didn’t receive a response there either. Also, you can’t see the canal much and have a view like in the pictures unless you stick your phone out the window to take a picture. Although we are not, if you are disabled or elderly, you have to go up a few flights of stairs to access the apartment, so be prepared for that. Other than those things, the place was clean and nice and it is in a quiet area you don’t have to worry about big crowds by where you stay.
