We could not have asked for a better vacation. The property was wonderful. Julie (the chef), Masha (the villa manager) and Marbella (the housekeeper) made our trip that much better. Julie’s food was incredible— she brought in fresh ingredients daily and was creative with her presentation for even a simple breakfast! We enjoyed her meals so much, we even hired her to prepare a steak/ lobster dinner for a birthday celebration. Masha was ALWAYS available to assist with travel arrangements and dinner reservations, as well as providing recommendations to restaurants “off the beaten path”. She was the consummate professional. And finally, Masha recommended a bartender at our request— Paulina (Pau). She totally made our days by the pool hassle free! She crafts EVERYTHING with fresh ingredients… mango, strawberry, watermelon, mint… she shopped daily for those ingredients and arrived each morning ready to go. Her energy and personality are unmatched and we would absolutely recommend her to anyone considering this service— you won’t regret it! Overall, this group of people will over-deliver on expectations and will feel like family by the end of your stay. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful outdoor space and fabulous chef

I came here with 7 of my friends to celebrate 20 years of friendship and we had a wonderful time. We loved the beach view and access, the pool, AND especially chef Julie who cooked us amazing breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Masha, the property manager, was also super helpful in organizing taxis and making restaurant reservations. We'd come back.

A fantastic getaway to paradise

Overall, we loved our stay at Casa Callaway. The house manager Masha, chef Julia and the cleaning lady were all excellent - easy to communicate with, extremely competent and excellent customer service. The house is gorgeous and the location on the beach was heavenly. The one aspect it would have been helpful to have forewarning is that the beach had greatly receded from the photos so there was in fact very little beach to sit on. We had a marvelous time by the pool but may be wise to let guests know.

A Gentle Paradise

Our stay was nothing short of wonderful. Our biggest decision for our week was what part of the pool we would sit in (shaded or sun) and what we would select for our meals the next day. We travel extensively, and we have never received the level of care we received at Casa Callaway. The chef, the housekeeper, the house manager, the property manager---all played pivotal roles to an enjoyable and worry-free trip. We have food allergies to contend with, and we had one conversation about allergies the first day. That was it. If you have ever had to repeat over and over at every new restaurant about your allergies, you understand not only how tiring it is, but how much anxiety comes with hoping you are safe. Our chef took great care of all our needs, above and beyond. The housekeeper kept everything immaculately. We went home with CLEAN, folded clothes. The house manager answered every single question quickly and even stopped by the house one evening when we had a minor issue with a remote. They take every request very seriously. Nothing too big or too small. We enjoyed the outdoor speakers, the closet of beach goodies and ice chests we could use. The house has more towels and linens than we could go through. We had a party of 8, 5 adults and 3 older teens. The room layouts allowed everyone enough space and privacy. Each suite having its own bathroom is a plus. We look forward to staying again in the future.

Amazing 5 Star Stay!

Don't miss the chance to stay at this fabulous condo! Great communicataion with the host, & the staff are amazing! The food to die for, the villa is paradise on the ocean. The master bedrooms with their own bathroom is a huge perk. It was such an amazing stay that we can't wait to book again.Better than 5 star!

Fantastic stay in Playa

we fell in love with Casa Calloway! Julie, the chef, was amazing, and Masha, the hose manager was always available for anything we needed. The views are incredible (sunrises on the beach!) and the pool was spotless. It was so great to sit in the pool under the palm tree and watch ocean just steps away.

Wonderful House and wonderful chef

The house is great. The chef made amazing food. I would recommend everyone to stay there. Just a note, bring cash for your checkout process. They do not take credit card. I didn’t read that but it is in your contract. That is the advice I would like to pass on.

Fantastic Beach Getaway

The online photos did not do the property justice. It was more spacious than the photos indicated. Chef Juliana was simply amazing!! Breakfast, lunch and dinner did not disappoint! The pool was perfect! Playa del Carmen is a short walk from the house. We had a relaxed, fulfilled vacation! A bonus was the Skydiver's landed directly on the beach in front of the house and we watched from the pool! We will absolutely return!

Amazing Spring Break 🌴🇲🇽

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Callaway during our spring break. We had 8 people including 4 teens and it was a perfect vacation home right on the beach. Our hostess, Masha, was super attentive before and during our stay. Our chef, Julie, was wonderful and we enjoyed her immensely. Our housekeeper was also so reliable and kept our house so tidy. We are grateful our trip was so enjoyable.

Amazing ocean/beachfront rental!

5 of us stayed here for 5 nights and loved every minute of it. Had great communication with Sally before our trip, she quickly responded to all of my questions which helped us plan our trip. The house manager, Masha, was great to work with and was available every time we had questions. Julie, the chef, is the best, every meal she made for us was amazing! Marabella was very sweet and did a fabulous job cleaning the house. Casa Callaway is beautiful & in a great location, Playa del Carmen is a short walk from the house. We loved the pool/hot tub, beach and the 4 master suites. We highly recommend renting this house and we're planning on going back!

Holiday family trip

What an amazing vacation! From the pre trip communication and planning with the house manager, delicious breakfast and lunch with house chef, to days of fun jumping from the private pool to beach, this trip checked all the boxes for our family. The house is located in a gated community, close to downtown, with easy access to restaurants and shops. I was a little concerned about safety and security prior to the trip, but once we arrived I was reassured by the locked gates, cameras and patrolling guards. Very safe and welcoming community. Aside from a little noise one night from a wedding at the neighboring hotel, it was very quiet and relaxing. Our family had a wonderful vacation and would rewind, repeat in a heartbeat! Thank you Sally and Masha for making this a truely special holiday trip.

Everything was fabulous! Mireya’s cooking - simply awesome! House is in a great location!

We stayed in early June. We had 4 adults and 6 young teenagers. Albeit hot, the house has plenty of evening shade. There is access to beach massage, skydiving, water sports, etc. the staff (Masha, Marbella, and Mireya) are all great! The only challenge was the sargassum in the ocean. This is nothing anyone can control however, it does deter the desire to be in the water. It didn’t slow the kids down at all. Overall, a fabulous house, staff, stay!

Casa Callaway

We had a wonderful time at Casa Callaway. Our host Masha was super attentive and responsive to any need or question we had. Our chef Julie was a wonderful cook and a delight to speak with. The only complaints we had were the hot tub motor was not working, the pergola was taken down and the day bed on the beach was broken. The staff did make sure to have 2 umbrellas poolside to help with shade. Nothing that ruined our trip but I think we should been made aware of these things before arrival. Other than that, the location was great! We could walk to town in 15 minutes or less.

Great staff and location but house itself fell alittle short

We had a great vacation but were somewhat disappointed in the house itself. We stayed in a condo in Punta Mita last year (on the beach) for about same price and the place was far nicer. This place is a great location on a fantastic beach but the house itself needs a lot of attention. The Jacuzzi did not work and had not according to the notes for a while. Minimal amount of closet space. TVs were difficult to work, Woodwork was falling apart. The staff and house manager were great. Compared to last year’s staff they were fantastic. All in all we had a great vacation and enjoyed ourselves House manager made things happen and was very attentive Cook and cleaning staff were great Location on the beach was perfect House needed attention

We brought our three adult daughters with friends seven of us in total and have the most wonderful vacation. The house was perfect immaculately kept clean and our daily meals were prepared with perfection and more delicious than any restaurant we went to Masha, the house manager was wonderful and available any time to help and assist with any of our needs. The house was well air-conditioned with great access to the patio. With the strong sun during the day we lacked enough shade due to a broken awning and only one umbrella but that was supposed to be repaired There is a lot of action on the beach right next to and in front of the house so if you are looking for total seclusion this is not the right location but have to say it was quite fun watching the sky divers land literally right in front of you. Easy walk to town and to catch the ferry which we did one day and went to Cozumel We would definitely come back again and book this house thank you Casa Callaway!

Great home for a big group!

We stayed at Casa Callaway with our 4 children, ages 4, 7, 9, and 16 and my brother in law and sister in law. We loved how the house was set up with a private bath and king bed for each room. It was perfect for our group and gave us all our own space. After coming from a resort in Cancun, we loved the more intimate feel and to have our own pool with a beach right there. Since it is a public beach, there are a lot of people outside on the beach and in the alley way, which was fine for us, but could make others feel less private. The food prep for breakfast and lunch was wonderful and so easy. We wished that we would have scheduled Chef Julie for a couple of dinners, especially the last night. Taxis out of the complex were really expensive so we finally just rented a car, which we probably should have done sooner. The only thing that I wish they would change about the property is the windows in the bedroom into the bathroom within the bedroom. It worked for our group but I could see how this might be uncomfortable if you were traveling with friends. All in all it was so easy and relaxing and wonderful and we were so happy with our stay. Having the chef and housecleaner was so worth it for us.

50th Birthday Surprise for My Hubby

This trip was intended for my hubby's 50th birthday bash with family and friends. Masha, the house manager ensured that his birthday was nothing short of memorable. She had balloons and a cake waiting for him on his actually birthday. Masha was great add scheduling our transportation from and to the airport, she and Julianna, the chef had a welcoming dinner (which was absolutely delicious) and tasty margaritas for us the day of arrival. Masha also scheduled the physician to come to the Villa for our COVID tests. That was a piece of cake and very convenient for us. Let's get back to Chef Julianna, whoa!! Her food was magnificent. We choose to do breakfast and lunch each day with a few dinners. Everything was fresh and needless to say delicious! Marabella (housekeeper) came each day with a huge smile on her face. She swept, mopped, cleaned each bedroom/bathroom and did laundry each day. She didn't speak English, but she didn't need to. She was amazing! I would definitely return to Casa Callaway for future vacations. Thank you for all that you guys did to make my hubby's 50th one to remember,

Wonderful stay at Casa Callaway

First, let me start by saying my family has rented many different beachfront homes in Mexico over the last 6 years (mostly Puerto Vallarta, Sayulita, San Jose del Cabo and now Playa del Carmen) so we've been through the drill before. We truly enjoyed our time at Casa Callaway and highly recommend it! Pros: +The location in the Playacar neighborhood is great - it's walkable (~15-20 mins) or an easy taxi to the main restaurant/shopping area in Playa, it feels very safe, and of course the house is right on the beach. +The beach has lovely powdery sand, the water is clear and warm, and very swimmable. There is quite a bit of activity on the beach (massage stand, sky divers landing, etc) but it's not overcrowded or crazy like some other places. It's just enough activity to be entertaining but does not take away from the relaxing atmosphere of the house. The Casa is between another house and resort. +Proximity to activities - we were able to rent jet skis, go fishing and do some amazing snorkeling. We also did a day trip to Chichen Itza which was totally worth it. +The food was amazing. Chef Mireya does a wonderful job cooking breakfast and lunch. And it was very affordable. In hindsight, had we known how affordable it would be, we would have asked her to stay and do some dinners for us. (We had gotten burned on a previous vacation at another house with a huge food bill at the end which probably tainted us). +The pool is nice. It's not heated, but doesn't need to be. A previous reviewer mentioned issues with the jacuzzi. The jacuzzi worked just fine when we were there. It takes awhile to heat up (60 mins) but otherwise it's great. +The staff (Masha, Mireya, Marbella) are very friendly and welcoming. Cons -There aren't many cons of staying here. Is the house a little tired? Perhaps. But it's very clean and well maintained. -As with all houses we've rented in Mexico, there are sometimes minor issues. At Casa Callaway, the lock on the outer gate had some issues, but the house manager Masha was on top of it and had it fixed right away. -If you can, it's better to communicate directly with the chef on meals and grocery items vs. going through the house manager. One day we ended up with some meals that were not what we requested because of that. It's best to communicate with Chef Mireya in Spanish (we had a few Spanish speakers in our group). Masha's English is great and she is super responsive. Overall we had a lovely stay and would certainly return!

Paradise by the beach

Casa Callaway is the perfect get away. The house was beautiful and had four master bedrooms each with en suite full baths. Three of the four bedrooms face the ocean and have sliding doors out to the pool deck. There is a short lap pool, hot tub, lounge chairs and a dining table and chairs with awning. The beach is just down a set of stairs and is lovely, not too crowded and you can easily rent jet skis, parasailing and more at the next beach over. Best of all, Casa Callaway comes with Chef Juliana. Her breakfasts and lunches are fabulous and we also had her cook us a few delicious dinners as well. The house is in a gated community and we felt very safe. We also saw many police & national guard patrols. It is a 10 min drive to the vibrant Fifth Avenue shops and restaurants. Highly recommend.

Casa Callaway

This property is exceptional. Located in a safe gated community right on the beach. 4 equally sized masters made it easy to split with friends. Julie our chef was incredible and so accommodating to our needs. Masha took care of us and was available any time we needed her. Can not say enough, we will definitely be staying here the next time we are in Playa.

Anniversary trip

Our stay was fantastic. The staff was awesome 😎 our chef Julie did a fantastic job! Her meals were delicious. And Masha went above and beyond helping us with whatever we needed. We would definitely stay there again!
