The Kite - Laid-Back luxury beside the Abel Tasman

The Kite is set on Pemako Farm - a magical 25-acre farm in Marahau village in the Tasman region at the top of the South Island. Pemako is approximately 1 hours drive from Nelson City and just 2 km from the entrance to the Abel Tasman National Park.

The Kite is a stunning, architecturally-designed, modern, one-bedroom cabin. It's nestled within its own garden paradise, complete with sensational views, an outdoor eating and lounging area, a hammock for afternoon siestas - and even a swing for delighting your inner child.

Inside, you'll find a plush king-sized bed with large glass doors out to the views beyond. A kitchenette and small indoor dining and lounging area provide everything you need for prepping and enjoying wonderful meals. The luxurious bathroom features an indoor/outdoor shower - and an outdoor bathtub with 'moon pool' window above for star-gazing.

The babbling waters of the Marahau River create a natural farm boundary to the North, and the ever-present vistas of the Abel Tasman National Park are an awe-inspiring backdrop to your stay.

**Special conditions and notes**:

Our recommendation is to spend a minimum of three to four nights at the Kite, so you can truly take advantage of all the varied activities in the area, and feel refreshed for the rest of your NZ adventure.

One-night stays may be possible at a surcharge. Please make an inquiry and we will send a special offer.

The Kite is part of our STAY FOR GOOD programme. Five percent of all gross proceeds will be donated to charities in New Zealand and across the globe that focus on giving children a better life.

There is a small sealed ford crossing to arrive to the Kite. This access is generally accessible for all cars, as nearly all of our guests have small, 2 -wheel drive rental vehicles. The only exception to this is the very rare day or two per year in time of extreme flood.

**Payment, Bond/Security Deposit and Cancellation**:

- A 30% deposit secures your stay with the balance due 3 weeks prior to your arrival (full payment will be required if booking within 3 weeks of arrival).

- Three weeks prior to your arrival (or immediately if booking within 3 weeks of arrival), you'll need to provide a card authority for the bond/security deposit via our secure online check in process.

- Cancel anytime up until 3 weeks prior to arrival for any reason and you'll pay no more than 30% of the booking total.

- Where compassionate circumstances for cancellation exist, we'll be happy to look at further flexibility, usually in the form of postponement of your stay, or a credit towards future stay dates.
