Beautiful location, run down home
Rating Details:
The property manager was more than helpful.
The vacation rental was somewhat dirty.
I was very happy with the location.
I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

My family and I really enjoyed getting to spend time on the pond that only the house had access to and walking on the trails that crisscross the woods around it. The house itself was in terrible condition and was stressful to stay in, which was a shame. The response of Berkshire Hathaway, that they’d alert the caretaker, with no additional help was also disappointing. The house was in terrible condition. On the second floor there was terrible water damage. There were holes and bubbling paint on the ceiling with what appeared to be black mold or soot around the edges. There were chipping, peeling broken asbestos tiles on the floor with the subfloor exposed. The carpets and bathmats were filthy and one of the blankets on one of the beds was badly stained. Additionally, while they were upfront about the lack of internet, it was also a cell dead spot so the only way we could call or text anyone was to leave down the dirt roads and drive about 7 minutes out to the Main Street. Overall the condition of the property is a huge shame because the secluded location on a private pond was incredibly special.
