Restaurants have rebuilt from hurricanes - Beach access just across the street and Bay access steps away. Features 2 King Bed Master Suites for the adults a queen sleeper sofa in sitting room and an airconditioned Sleeping Porch with beds for 4, perfect for the children. Location on the island is amazing as it is close to the restaurants and shops on the south end yet on a peaceful shady street just steps to the deeded beach access.

Perfect location Perfect house

Came from Alaska to be with family, the house suited us perfectly! Came for the 4th and a short couple minute walk to the dock and the fireworks were spectacular. Beach area was a couple more minutes and so easy to get to. Kids loved the pool and we loved the lounging and the pool! FYI- bring mosquito spray! Loved this place

More Than Everything You Need!

Great Location, Wonderful Home, Excellent access to beach and dock area. We enjoyed the sunrise and the sunset. Pool was wonderful. House Managers were very responsive to any questions or requests. (replaced florescent light bulb within 10 minutes of notification) We had family members ranging in age from 8 months to 72 years of age. The house was very accommodating to our needs. Layout of sleeping quarters met our needs perfectly.

The house was clean with several living spaces. Great for 2 couples. The weather was chilly for February, therefore, the pool never got warm enough to swim. The pool area was a nice area to enjoy the outdoors. Restaurants in the area were good and provided live music.

Great rental on Manasota Key

Hosts were extremely responsive and accommodating. The location is perfect—just a few minutes’ walk from both the bay and the beach.

Great place

This a very nice, clean home in a quiet secluded neighborhood with easy access to restaurants, beach and shopping. There were only four of us, but this would be a great place for a family or two with kids. There were plenty of towels, dishes and cookware items. I highly recommend the property! Our only complaint would be that, although theysay the pool is heated to 80 degrees, it never exceeded 70 degrees and we were unable to use it.

Wonderful, quiet location

“Blue Heron” was a perfect location for our family getaway. It is on a very quiet street with easy access to the beach and a private dock to the bay. There were 7 of us staying and the “kids” had their own space on the back porch. Fully stocked kitchen so easy to cook if you didn’t want to go out for meals. We did have a problem with the temperature of the pool but Mason was quick to respond and it was resolved. We did find the AC/heating a bit hard to control but there were some days in the 50’s and a few in the 70’s. Despite the terrible weather, we enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to come back

No third bedroom

This property is 2 bed 2 bath. There are extra beds but no third bedroom. Extra sleeping has no doors. No access to bathroom when the 2 bedrooms are occupied. Both bathrooms are attached to the bedrooms. We thought we were getting a 3 bedroom property. Pool was cold. Nice location, close to beach and bay.

Absolutely perfect!!!

This property was as described. The house was very spacious and well appointed. The street is very quiet. The beach is great and in close proximity to the house. The island had everything we needed for a great family getaway.

Manasota hidden gem

This was the perfect house for our group of 8. The four kids slept in the bunk bed room leaving the 2 king bedrooms for the adults. We loved being able to walk to the beach and having a private pool. The restaurants were all super close and fun for all. The house was well stocked and the host was great to work with. Can’t beat Manasota Key for perfect family vacation.

Great place to stay with beach access very close!

Great place to stay and very close to the beach! Everything was very clean and kitchen is well equipped. They also have a lot of beach chairs, toys, floaters etc, and wagon to take it all for a great day at the beach! Welcome gift in the fridge on arrival was a nice touch. Pool was a big hit with the family! The neighborhood is private and quiet. We are looking forward to staying here again next year!

As expected

Everything was about as expected. The property would be great for 2 couples or a smaller group. We had between 8 - 10. The lack of privacy is a bit difficult as both bathrooms are connected to the bedrooms. If bedroom doors are closed, no one can get to the bathrooms, without walking into the bedrooms. The neighborhood was perfect. Quiet and peaceful, just what we needed. We had a few troubles with the pool and the inside thermostat, add the owner was very responsive to get everything taken care of.

The house was clean and offered a lot of amenities. The bed in one of the bedrooms was like sleeping on a piece of plywood for the week. The picture of the property made it seemed like it had somewhat of a yard by the pool but it did not. Pool needed cleaned often due to to the trees hanging over it. For the price I think you could find a higher quality house but not a bad place overall.

Beautiful property and location is amazing! Close to beach and had a dock in the bay! We loved it! Gorgeous beach with sunsets, warm pool, beach equipment for all ages! Would highly recommend!!

MOST everything was great!

The property was great. The beach access was great. The shopping and dining options were great. The only drawback was a nosy, crabby, mean spirited neighbor named Gail and her two little white yipping dogs.

Great house! Perfect for 2 families!

This is a great house in a great location. Beach is beautiful and very close and pool provided hours of entertainment for the kids. Kitchen is functional, but not a ton of pots and pans provided so don’t plan on fancy meals at home. Restaurants super close by so cooking much is definitely optional.

Spacious and great location

This property is not super fancy. However, it's very clean and in a superb location with easy access to both the beach and the bay, and just a very short distance to the restaurants, etc., that are on the key. I've stayed in a ton of VRBO's and definitely recommend this one if you're coming to the area.

Relaxing beach getaway before back to school.

Other than being hit with Hurricane Elsa (which didn't hamper our trip that much!!) we had a great time at the Blue Heron House. The walk to the beach was very convenient and the house was fully stocked and very well maintained. Thanks for a wonderful getaway!

Awesome place with everything a family needs!

We stayed here with 7 adults and 3 kids. It was exactly what we needed and then some. The pool was great! The beach wagon, chairs and toys were perfect and the quick walk there was so easy. Plenty of towels and supplies. We had ample room to spread out. This place did not disappoint. Can’t wait to come back!

This was fantastic! Great place with easy access to the beach.

My family & I had a wonderful time! Plenty of room. We shared this place with my parents & uncle. My daughter had the patio area to herself & loved it! We would go to the beach everyday & also took advantage of the private pool. I was so sad to leave. I look forward to having more vacations here!!
