Welcome to Lemon’s Lake Haus in beautiful Bayfield!! Nestled under shady trees, you will find this fully renovated spacious hideaway suitable for up to 6 adults or family! It is 1 block from ClanGregor Square where there is an awesome playground, splashpad and many markets/festivals are held.

Romantic winter retreat in charming Bayfield. Newly renovated modern cottage for couples. Cozy up by the wood fireplace and enjoy the serene ambiance.

INSIDE: Modern 3 bedroom bungalow cottage with large open concept kitchen with breakfast bar, spacious living room with dining area which leads out to the back deck, yard. Living room boasts a beautiful wood fireplace, Smart TV. Kitchen has everything you need to create your favorite dishes; cookware, utensils, small appliances and a fabulous new BBQ on back deck.

OUTSIDE: Unwind in the backyard in style, enjoy the new deck and read your favorite book or take a nap on the 'lovers bench', grill up some steaks and when the sun sets gather around the firepit for s'mores.

Lake access is steps away on Tuyll street. The lakebed can be sandy or stoney depending on what the lake gives you that day. But it sure is fun to try to find the ever changing sandbars. Generally you will find sand 3ft out. It's fun to go stone collecting - Lake Huron is a geologists paradise! Just bring some water shoes. The nice thing is, it's not weedy or slimy at all.

Main floor - 4 piece bathroom
Downstairs - 3 piece bathroom

EXTRA'S at the cottage include Air Conditioning, WiFi, foosball table, large flatscreen TV, and a wood fireplace

NOTE: Playpen/Highchair available upon request

All Guests are required to sign a separate cottage rental agreement and provide government issued photo id. Including names and ages of all guests who will occupy the property. Primary renter must be over 25 photo id is required. Only those occupants listed on the Rental Agreement, are allowed to occupy the property. A separate security deposit of $500 is required. This property is equipped with a monitoring device (including noise, temp & wifi connections)
Any house rules violation is grounds for immediate termination of your stay without refund. Max occupancy at all times is 6, violation will result in removal without refund.

Max 1 well behaved dog is allowed but must sign separate pet addendum - violation will result in removal without refund.
Parking is limited to 3 vehicles

Linens are available for $20/per person. This includes Tea Towels, Dishcloths, Sheets & Pillowcases, Bathroom towels, Hand towels and Face cloths. Does not include Beach Towels.

Our Winter Weather Cancellation Policy is designed with your safety in mind. If winter conditions make travel unsafe or if there are road closures preventing you from reaching the cottage, you have flexible options:
❄ Delay Your Arrival – If the cottage is available, you can shift your stay by a day or two.
❄ Reschedule – Move your booking to a future date that works for you.
❄ Full Refund – If rescheduling isn’t possible, you can cancel for a full refund.

Excellent location

Property was bright, clean, nicely renovated and furnished, well suited for a group or family. The location was perfect, close to Village, stores, and Lake. Property management company CottageStays were excellent with great communication, it was much appreciated. (We did not however appreciate Vrbo’s practice of charging our credit card without a preceding bill or receipt.)

Great spot!

This cottage is perfect. Spotless and very well organized. Our host was always available. It is within walking distance to downtown Bayfield. And a short drive to several conservation areas. Goderich is about a 15 minute drive. We would absolutely go back.

Great location and lovely property

We loved this property. It was cosy and comfy with a great deck area out back. The location was perfect for us, just a 5 min walk to the Main Street in Bayfield and the beach at the end of Howard St. We had a lovely week unwinding and relaxing and the cottage was very well equipped. The team at Cottage Stays were friendly and efficient, dealing with any queries quickly. Will be recommending it to friends.

Great experience

We loved our time here. Everything was as pictured. The little fire pit was perfect for a fall night. Walking distance to the town and the park was especially great for our little guy. Close to the water. We would 100% come back.

Perfect Cottage Getaway

The cottage was perfect for a girls weekend away. Jennifer was outstanding with communication and helping whenever we needed her. I misread the booking and we did not bring our own linens, however Jennifer was on it and willing to bring linens to us late on our first night. That information could be a little more bold in the booking details, as I have never stayed in a rental that requires additional cost for linens. Other than that we had a wonderful stay at the cottage.

Fantastic Property with Great Location

We loved our 3 day stay at Lemon's Lakehouse over the Chriatmas holidays. The home was clean and comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed making meals in the lovely kitchen, playing board games, having a fire in the fire pit and just plain old relaxing. The home was beautifully decorated for Christmas which was appreciated. The home is ideally located; its just a short walk to the downtown strip and also close to beach access. Would highly recommend!

Lemon’s Lake Haus, We’ll Be Back!

As ideally located as the Town of Bayfield itself. An easy walk to the bluffs, Pioneer Park, the beach and the best of Bayfield’s Main St. Restaurants & Pubs. The house presents “as new”, it’s super well equipped with a gourmet kitchen not often found in cottage- style properties. Run, don’t walk to this house and it’s fantastic manager, Jennifer.

Beautiful Lakehouse!

Lemon’s Lake House was a perfect spot for 2 couples get away. Newly renovated, bright, very clean and very well equipped. Great location to downtown Bayfield. Very nice stay at LemonS Lake Haus

My husband and I had a very nice week at this newly renovated, comfortable home in the heart of Bayfield. We loved that we could bring our dog and she enjoyed sitting by the back door watching the birds and rabbits! The home is in a perfect location to be able to walk to the lake or to the coffee shop in town. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The yard is not fully fenced so that would make a huge difference for one bringing their dog. Thank you for opening your home to us.

The best cottage we've ever stayed at :)

Absolutely LOVED our stay at Lemon's Lake Haus! Beautifully decorated cottage with everything we needed. We appreciated the welcome notes and gifts (including treats for our pups!), clear check in instructions, laundry and dishwasher pods, beautiful backyard space... really everything was thought of! Well maintained and clean. It was perfect for our family of 5 adults and 2 kids, and our pups. We were very charmed by Bayfield and enjoyed visiting all the shops/farms/markets/beaches in the area. 2 Weeks in May

I rented the house for 2 weeks at the end of May to celebrate my early retirement. The first week spent with my grown daughter, and her dog, with our whole family of 7, including my 2 year old granddaughter coming for the weekend. The house was the perfect size to accommodate all of us. We brought a baby gate to shut off access to the basement for safety as there’s no door for that purpose. The kitchen is well equipped and the deck and backyard is a generous space to enjoy outside spaces. The location of the house is perfect for walking the beautiful town of Bayfield! A few blocks to the park and the shops. It’s a lovely town to explore and has all the amenities you might need, grocery, lcbo, lots of restaurants to try out. We had a few questions for our hosts during our stay and they were answered promptly. The house is as advertised and a wonderful place to spend time, and make memories.

Lemon Lake Haus - Perfect place to rest!

We stayed at Lemon Lake Hause just 2 blocks from downtown Bayfield so we had access to great dining and wine! We were welcomed with a package with things to do in Huron County as well as a treat for the dogs. Then a knock on the door and 2 lovely little girls and their mom dropped off a WARM homemade olive loaf! Great start to our week. We relaxed, played, beached, walked and thoroughly enjoyed our week away. Lemon Lake Haus was a great place to stay and Jennifer & crew at Cottagestays.ca were very conscientious on checking on our needs. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need! Thanks for helping to make it a good vacation for us. Hope to be back next year! or who knows maybe in the fall? Kim

Learning Weekend

My friend and I attended a virtual conference for 3 days so we decided to rent a cottage so we could fully focus without the distractions of our homes and families. Lemon's Lake Haus was the perfect spot. Check in process was seamless. and we were allowed an early check-in to get fully settled before the course started. I accidentally cracked the coffee carafe and when I told Jennifer, she showed up the next morning with another coffee pot for us. This was so appreciated as coffee was needed! It was a very clean cottage in a quiet location and within a short walk to downtown shops and the beach (although it was pretty cold this weekend. I would definitely recommend Lemon's Lake Haus!

Positivitely the Best

This has far been one of, if not the best, places we've stayed. The cottage is gorgeous, spacious and simply prefect. The cottage is situated nicely close to the water and close to the main street. Only a few minutes walk gets you where you want to be. We had to work remotely a few days and the wifi and cell reception easily handled all our needs with no dropouts or delays. Jennifer was an absolute delight and answered all our questions promptly and completely. She made us feel welcomed from our initial request throughout the entire stay. We loved the detailed touches to included the welcome gifts of chocolate, local coffee and even special homemade treats for our pups! We had the most relaxing time to unwind and recoup because this place has everything you need plus all the things you didn't think you needed but was glad it was there! Five stars are not enough.... this is a true gem and we highly recommend.

Comfortable retreat

This property is close to all amenities and the Beach! The house and yard is beautiful! We loved the book nooks and lazin under the umbrellas in the back yard! At night we had campfires! On the rainy day we watched movies and cuddled. The kids learned chess and played tic tac toe! The neighbourhood is very friendly! Lots of people with dogs! Willing to stop and talk! There was a parade when we were there and we all enjoys it! The Bayfield square is 200 yards away so walking distance! Lots of interesting shops and restaurants and my son enjoyed a couple bars! We celebrated my Birthday at “the Little Inn” my parents married there back in 1946”. The stairs n rest seats down to beach were brand new. The grandkids loved the water and sand and looking for rocks and sea glass! This cottage supplied everything you need and we all rated it 5* star ! Walz family

Another Great Stay In Bayfield

This is the third year in a row our family (4 people) have booked a home with Cottage Stays. Each time was a different cottage; this one was called Lemon's Lake Haus. Jennifer is easy to deal with, gives good suggestions and the homes have all had everything we need. Lemon's Lake Haus in particular has a beautiful backyard. comfortable beds, a big open main floor, modern appliances, and a great location. Bayfield itself is a friendly and quiet place, has everything you need on the main street or very close and is near many activities (boats, beach, cycling, hiking, berry picking, horse racing,,,etc). Any quibbles I may have are extremely minor (like bigger towels would be nice) but overall, our family has started to love this area of Ontario and we cannot wait to return. Perhaps 10 a.m. checkout (which Jennifer kindly moved in our case) should be changed to noon at the earliest. 10 a.m is quite early to be ready and I think more flexibility should be built into the arrival/departure. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! 5 stars all the way around!

I stayed for 3 days and it was nothing short of perfection. Very well kept and clean, beautiful decor, kitchen was stocked with everything you need. Relaxing on the back deck was so peaceful, and the wood fireplace was a huge bonus! The owner always replied promptly and was very friendly and accommodating.
