Escape to Ocean Song Cottages on Vancouver Island in the Pacific Northwest. 3+ acres offering an intimate, adult only space with ocean views just 1 hour from Victoria. We believe that slowing down from time to time is essential and doing so surrounded by the forest, with the ocean only a short walk away, creates a space where it is easy to breathe and enjoy the things that make the soul sing.

Ocean Song Cottages were completely renovated in the Spring of 2022. The aim was to have cottages that were light filled, minimal and quietly luxurious with modern conveniences and finishes all while finding a balance that allowed them to sit comfortably in the forested oceanside landscape. The result was a carefully considered mix of nordic hygge and mid-century modern with a nod to our own Pacific Northwest's contemporary aesthetic: simple forms, real wood, a restrained palette and maintaining an open feel to the space.

Stroll the property while viewing wildlife that can include bear, deer, birds of prey, whales and seals. This serene and breathtaking oceanfront property can make your dream of enjoying a PNW getaway a reality!

We want you to feel comfortable here, to enjoy your time, to leave encouraged, rested and rejuvenated. This is Ocean Song, you are welcome here and we think you’ll like it.

What a beautiful place!

The cottage is well designed with everything you need. There has been a lot of thought put into every detail to bring comfort to your stay. The ambiance is calm, private and relaxed. We felt pampered with the accommodations and setting…an amazing view that is ever changing. Melodie is a great communicator, answering questions prior and during our stay! We will certainly visit the cottage next time we travel to Victoria.

This Getaway Is A Must!

From the time we were booking this property to the time of our stay, the host, Melodie made sure that everything was perfect for our stay here. The placement of these cottages is just perfect - the view and the serenity were just what we needed. It was an awesome way to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary.

Ocean Song was an ideal location for a mini-retreat. We'd suggest planning to spend at least a full day just relaxing on the property as the host has it perfectly appointed for optimal relaxation and rejuvenation. When I say every detail has been considered, I mean EVERY detail. From the high powered binoculars (you'll want them for whale watching) to abundant towels and even cozy slippers to pad around the house, you will find everything you need for a relaxing stay. The property itself boasts sweeping views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca from which you can while away the hours watching passing ships and whales.

Wonderful stay

Hello Angie, thank you very much for your 5* review and for mentioning how comfortable the bed is. The mattresses are organic and handmade by Fawcett Mattress right here on Vancouver Island. Those mattresses combined with the peace and quiet make for deep and indulgent sleeps! I agree the view is beautiful and I love that you can see it from the bed, the hot tub and the hammock! Wind Song is Peaceful

Very quiet peaceful setting. Great view of the sound and Olympic peninsula. Bald Eagles perching on a tree right in front of the cottage. Property was just as described.

I am so happy you enjoyed your stay and were able to 'press pause' and live slow for a couple of days, how nice to feel renewed and refreshed ~ that's almost our motto: RELAX • RENEW • RESET. Thank you for letting me know that you enjoyed your lunch stop at the Cook & Butcher in Cowichan Bay! That Caesar cocktail is actually a meal in itself for all of the crab, lobster, shrimp etc. they put in the 'drink' ! Another BC memory for you ;-)

We purchased the cottages in August 2021 because it was a case of love at first sight. The moment we stepped out of our car the view took my breath away and I remember thinking “My life is about to change.”

We had found a place, a uniquely beautiful place, to experience relaxation and renewal, a space which would encourage us to connect and reflect on what matters most. With refined comforts and expansive views a stay at the cottages prioritizes rest and retreat. Live simply. Live slow. Breathe in nature.

Ocean Song Cottages were closed at the end of the season on January 7, 2022 and re-opened on April 1, 2022. They were carefully and intentionally renovated with a strong emphasis on what matters - comfort and nature. Light pours into the cottages' large windows, bespoke interior fittings, modern appliances and furniture make for an easy stay and encourages a focus on well-being and reconnecting with nature. Outside there are 3.5 acres to explore plus many fabulous beaches close by. Each cottage is graced with a gas grill, 2-person hot tub and a large, shared expansive lawn which gently slopes down towards a breathtaking view of the ocean.
