Thank you so much for your review. Just before your arrival in Spello, there was a big storm and the wind knocked out our TV antenna located on the rooftop. The technician has now repaired it and the TV has been back on for a while now. I want to sincerely apologized for the inconvenience. Regarding the water heater, that has also been fixed. Please come to visit us soon.

The AC leaked a bit of water because our AC tech told us that the water condensation is normal because the AC had not been used for a while- and when you first start using it again, it often leaks. Thank you so much for staying at Casa Spello. As you probably know we have four different units in the property. The unit you stayed at is the 700 year old cellar where the family used to make their wine. The wine cellar which is now the living room of the Tiberius unit is built in beautiful peach color stone and stays nice and cool in summer months. We made the front door of the unit extremely large with glass doors to allow more light to come in. The medieval properties didn't have nor do they allow, for too many large windows- but the charm of the cantina is really a unique experience. I have been renting our medieval house for 15 years. This is what other guests have written: I let my guests tell you about the house: Linda L. wrote: " The apartment had plenty of space for 5 of us. May12 -'19 All of our reviews are 5 stars.! They cannot all be wrong! This is the first time I get a one star review and this is the first time I have rented to a German speaking family. Surely if you rent a medieval house you do not expect to have glass windows and modern furnishings You are not allowed to cut through the medieval thick stone walls. It would be against the rules of the preservation of the antiquities. There is plenty of light coming in from the gigantic glass entry door (2 m wide x 3 m high) in the living room and a large window in the bedroom on the first floor. The views from the upper bedroom and the sunsets are spectacular . Our 500 square meter garden , it is shared with others, but it has three different sitting areas. It is never "crowded" since if one area is occupied you have two more areas in our upper terraced garden where you can sit. Our guests love the sharing ideas and recommendations with each other if they chose to mingle with other guests over a glass of wine watching the magnificent sunsets. I am sorry that our panoramic views and our decor with antique furniture which is appropriate for the house, were not to your liking. They are all made my Umbrian local artisans and this is the style of the region. Modern white cabinetry would not have fit well with a 700 year old historic building. Our garden is the biggest and most panoramic garden within the historic walls of Spello. We strive to keep our 5 star rating and are proud of our hospitality. Our reviews speak for themselves.

Thank you for your lovely review. Although you stayed in our Tiberius three bedroom house, I hope you had a chance to see our other 3 houses, which are just as beautiful as Tiberius. They are : Augustus - Marc Anthony and Cleopatra. We are thrilled that we provided a great place for you to enjoy Spello. We try our best to provide a comfortable place for our guests, and we are grateful that the views and the sunsets we get are the highlight of our property. Our Spello Restaurants are not "touristy" and do not cheat non-Italian clients. We are all the same in their eyes and they now rate as some of the best restaurants in Umbria. The prices are still very reasonable and the pasts is still home made by the mother and grandma in the kitchen.
