First trip to Destin

Our property worked perfect for just the two of us. The check-in and check-out was simple and easy. We were at the back of the property that faced the highway. It could be loud at night with traffic and sirens. Management was great to work with and we would come back again.

Dated condos with bad caretakers

These condos look pretty on the outside, but there was only two electrical outlets in the entire building that would keep a charging inside of it. There was mold inside the air conditioning system leftover opened food left out in the open of the condo, sheets were dirty before we even climbed in bed the first night.there was cockroaches in multiple places, and the mattress looked like it was made in 2002

Sandpiper Cove

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at a different Condo at Sandpiper Cove in the past. The location is great! Although this unit is in the back of the property and it’s a long walk to the front to get to the beach (I’d recommend driving). The Sandpiper Cove has private beach access/parking for condo owners/renters. The front gate staff are friendly and helpful. And, the on site restaurant is 5-stars. These are many of the reasons why we like renting at Sandpiper Cove. We understand that Sandpiper Cove is an older property but we still have some reasonable expectations. I was particularly disappointed with the unit itself, the living room and bedroom furniture were fine, updated and the place had been cleaned before we arrived, but the kitchen and bathroom need attention. The electric oven was old. The holders for the burners were not the right size and were bent to level out the burners. The utensil drawer had one butter knife, 4 forks but 30 spoons!?! The cabinetry is old and some of the drawers need attention (not on track). An iron they provided was old and unusable, it had something melted on it that we were afraid would transfer to our clothes. We would rent again at Sandpiper Cove, but not in this unit.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I rented 2009 directly from Sandpiper Cove. I was extremely happy with the experience. Other times I had rented through VRBO and while it was also a good experience, renting directly from Sandpiper Cove allowed me to exchange the linens anytime I wanted and had access to immediate maintenance. Unit 2009 was very nice overlooking the north pool on the 9th golf hole.
