Casa de los Arcos - Private Estate-like Property with Ocean and Mountain Views in Carpinteria

The peaceful sound of wind chimes, chirping birds, and the trickle of the fountain evoke a sense of pure serenity at this classical coastal Californian home located just five minutes from the Carpinteria Bluffs Nature Preserve and the Seal Sanctuary. A blend of Moroccan and Coastal California design creates a warm and inviting atmosphere with the large windows and french doors flooding the space with natural light. The four well appointed bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and include luxury features such as an in-room fireplace, separate soaking tub and shower, and private access to the tranquil backyard. Outside, guests will enjoy a large heated swimming pool and basking under the California sun and the stunning views of the Santa Ynez Mountains. Explore the coastline while on the 1.5 mile walk to Rincon Point or the 5 min drive to watch surfers at the beach.

Casa de Los Arcos is an exceptional property in a neighborhood where locals have lived for many years and created a tranquil surrounding area. Please consider this before committing to reserving this house. In addition, we kindly ask that you respect the noise-sensitive neighbors and control the noise levels generated within your vacation rental premises, especially in the backyard veranda pool area. The home is in a great location, with gorgeous views! The layout of the home was perfect for our mixed generation group. The primary suite location at the opposite end from the other bedrooms was perfect for the early to bed, early to rise folks. We had a few challenging situations (12hr power outage, post storm debris in pool & on sport court, appliance glitches), but overall the home served us well and we had a great time.

Communication was excellent. Home was stunning. It was perfect for our visit to Carpinteria for a wedding. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool as well as the basketball court. There was plenty of space inside the home. The gardens were gorgeous. Neighborhood was quiet. Would completely recommend to anyone considering this home.

A dream trip!

During our recent stay at Casa de los Arcos, we were truly impressed by the elegance and charm of the property. My two sisters and two nieces and I celebrated a big birthday of mine. We had a dream trip! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with stunning architecture and meticulously curated interiors that showcased a perfect blend of modern luxury and rustic coastal vibes. Each bedroom featured comfortable bedding, ensuring restful nights, while the bathrooms were pristine. Outside, the patio area was perfect for lounging, with an inviting pool and lush gardens that provided a perfect escape for relaxation. The location was ideal, offering easy access to downtown Santa Barbara, the beach, and numerous hiking trails.The host was incredibly responsive and helpful. Overall, our stay was unforgettable, combining comfort, elegance, and stunning natural beauty. I highly recommend Casa de Los Arcos for anyone looking for a getaway in the Santa Barbara area! We plan to return next year.

Beautiful Property, but some amenities did not work and we were not warned

Overall, we had an amazing time at this property! It is very spacious if you are going with a large group. Really beautiful space and had no issues with the neighbors like other guests have written in reviews. I wouldn't say we were very quiet, but at no point did we think we were very loud either. Very healthy level of volume, no need to whisper at all. The rental property company was very nice to work with, however upon arrival we did find that the hot tub was not working. The pool service company came out during our stay and let us know the hot tub had been out of service for months. This was never communicated to us and a big reason we chose this property. The steam shower in the master was also not working - not a huge deal as we did not know it included in the first place. Overall cleanliness was good, but a couple of the guests noticed dead bugs on their pillowcases on the first night they went to sleep. Wasn't "dirty" overall, guessing these rooms maybe hadn't been used in a long time. Also wanted to note, the photos have a lot more lounge area in the pool area than the house includes today. There are no sun beds, only a few loungers that are not cushioned. Enough seating overall outside though!

Dream Home, Epic Vacation

Absolutely incredible property! I recommend this place without hesitation. The house and gardens exude peace and beauty, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views on one side and the ocean on the other. Every inch of the property is thoughtfully designed, offering a level of comfort and coziness that surpasses any other rental I’ve experienced. The house is stocked with every essential, from spices and champagne flutes, can openers to baking pans and pool floaties—everything you could possibly need. It's clear this is a true home, not just a cookie-cutter rental. The decor is stunning, and the gardens are vibrant with lush greenery and hummingbirds. We especially loved drinking our morning coffee in the hot tub while watching the sunrise. The layout of the house is perfect for gathering with family of all ages. The ONLY minor downside is the lack of a sound system—so if music is important, bring your own speakers! Beyond that, this place is perfection! Just book it!

Wonderful stay, home was beautiful, dishwasher wasn’t working (needs to be descaled) but property manager was very apologetic and an amazing property. We will be back!

Amazing property!

Beautiful property, outdoor and pool area is especially amazing! We were a big group and everyone had a great time, we would definitely go back. There were a few issues that came up while we were there and the property management team was incredibly responsive. Highly recommend!

This property was stunning! A ranch style Spanish home that hit all the boxes for us Perfect home to relax and enjoy! Our children enjoyed the basketball courts and we all enjoyed the pool. The view of the lush landscaping was divine! My grandparents enjoyed themselves just relaxing! Thank you for hosting my family.

We had a great stay in this beautiful home. The photo's online do not begin to show how amazing this property is! It was perfect for our family, plenty of space for everyone. Beautiful house

Everything was great. The house was amazing. It had almost everything and the backyard was the highlight with an incredible pool as the focal point. We used the kitchen every night and it was perfect. We hope to come back next year!

Beautiful home

The house is an outstanding property and we enjoyed our stay very much. There were a couple requests on our part at the beginning of the stay and they were taken care of promptly and we appreciated it - we look forward to coming back!

Amazing house

We loved our stay, our only regret was we didn’t stay longer! The master suite was a little oasis and there’s plenty of space for four couples, we didn’t once feel on top of each other. The kitchen was really well stocked if you wanted to cook. The best part of the house was the outside area though. So many different lounging areas and an amazing pool mand jacuzzi. You don’t ever need to leave!

Perfectly situated Hacienda Ranch style home

I come to Santa Barbara every year with my daughters, and by far this has been our favorite home that we have stayed in. I’m so interested in fact, I would consider purchasing it! But alas, it is not for sale. Everything you see in the photos is exactly as it is. My only complaint would be they don’t have enough cookware in the kitchen. The kitchen is an amazing chefs kitchen, but we had to purchase and donate to the house a stock pot to make pasta. everything else they had plenty of, plenty of wine, glasses, plates, cutlery, coffee cups, just not enough cookware. The grounds are stunning. Some of the most beautiful I’ve seen in the area. Pass this note to the owners if they’re ever interested in selling, please let me know!

Overall, A Gorgeous, Relaxing Home Away from Home...

The house and it's furnishings are quite lovely, all high-end, and very comfortable, enough so we would book again in a second. It's truly gorgeous. Very well appointed with that California modern-boho aesthetic. However, the house and the patios need a thorough cleaning from cobwebs, spiders, and dust bunnies. For the cost charged for a night's stay, including the hefty cleaning fee of $625, I shouldn't see spiders and cobwebs in the master bath above my head (and have to clean their droppings off the counter every night); in the closets; under the kitchen cabinets; and in the covered patio area. I had to wash the patio daybed covers before we used them (they were quite dirty!), and the front fire pit sofas were covered in soot. We put towels on them to sit. I asked Wanderlust to put the screens in the master bedroom windows because there weren't any - and you needed to open the windows at night for air because there is no A/C (which we knew). We had asked them to add screens to the guest room at the other end of the house, but they were never put in. We managed. Luckily, it's all an easy fix to get this house perfect. It needs an exterminator and a thorough cleaning, and we would book again in a second. Staying in this gorgeous, spacious house made the fact that we were there dropping our only child off at boarding school across the country a tad easier to stomach.

Luxurious resort in the American Riviera

Luxury meets entertainment in this gorgeous estate. Beautiful, comfortable home, lush landscaping, plus more entertainment than you could imagine- pool, jacuzzi, ping pong, basketball court, outdoor theater, and the list goes on. Short drive to the beach and shopping, short bike ride to beautiful sandy dunes. Perfect vacation for family with older children.

A Slice of Heaven

The property did not disappoint. It boasts wonderful gardens and both fun / playful and peaceful outdoor spaces all surrounding the house. The kids can play basketball or ping-pong outside, and swim or jacuzzi on the other side of the yard while those preferring to de-stress can do yoga or simply take in the views of the ocean or the magnificent mountains while breathing in the fresh ocean air. The distant ocean views, are beautiful as well, creating an open feel in the end of the house that has those views. You can also BBQ outside and hang out by the bar, or sit around a rectangular fire pit in the front of the property. The house itself was lovely with 4 bedrooms, a piano, and an immaculate master bed and bathroom worthy of any 5 star hotel. The kitchen was nicely appointed, allowing for preparing meals at home. The house appears in a surprising location. It's just off the main highway, and yet up 2 blocks, you've entered an entirely different, dreamy world. The only concern I would offer is that noise tends to echo in that still, peaceful air, and neighbors are not hesitant to lodge noise complaints. Given how quiet we were out by the front yard firepit, I would recommend not planning any outdoor activities in the evening that might be too loud. All in all, I would highly recommend this house, and would return in a heartbeat.

Great views and comfortable home

This property was excellent! We enjoyed the fantastic stocked kitchen and the chefs in our group were quite pleased with their ability to cook fantastic meals. The bedrooms were very nice and comfortable. The outdoor areas of the property were beautiful from the meditation garden, to the pool lounge area, to the grassy area enjoying outdoor games with our children, to a game of horse at the basketball court, and to the spa to relax tired muscles. We have piano players in our group and we’re able to enjoy their music lounging in the living room. The property was spotless! There were so many little touches that made the property stand out out of the many properties we have enjoyed over the years. Kai from the property management company was absolutely fantastic to work with. We were so grateful for all of his assistance during the check in process. We would highly recommend this property for family and friends looking to enjoy the Santa Barbara/Carpinteria area.
