Summary:

Welcome to the Bear Creek Main + Barn Combo, a picturesque, 235-acre estate sitting above beautiful Bear Creek and overlooking a valley of lush rolling pastures and miles of trails through walnut, cherry, and live oak stands. There is nothing better than relaxing with friends or family and watching the sunset over the waters of the crystal clear spring-fed lake. This combo comfortably sleeps 18 people with 4 bedrooms in the main house and 2 in the barn.



The Space:

When the final oranges and reds of the sunset have faded, you will have a decision to make. Do you hit Historic Downtown Fredericksburg just ten minutes away for some fun and winery hopping or do you sit in Adirondack chairs around the fire pit at the water's edge with wine or s’mores while you watch ten thousand stars wake up one by one? (Our recommendation, do both!)



Bear Creek Main + Barn is the perfect place to enjoy the best of both worlds. Gorgeous, relaxing country mornings sipping coffee, watching deer and the occasional exotic play in the meadows across the creek, and your oasis after a day of winery tours and shopping in historic Fredericksburg.



These homes and grounds have been designed for hosting multi-family, friends getaways, and other large groups, with both having open space living designs and expansive dining and kitchen areas. From having a family dinner, playing horseshoes, or playing pool there is so much to do at our home with your loved ones.



If you are bringing your children, they will never be bored and might sleep for days. There is abundant wildlife on the property so be sure to tell the kids to keep their eyes open for Whitetail deer, and possibly the reclusive wild sheep, Axis, and blackbucks. Also, be on the lookout for the plentiful ancient fossils that litter the property (please photo but don't take them). We were told there are also fossilized dinosaur footprints on the property but the previous owner is gone.



These beautiful Texas homes come with spacious kitchens with brand new appliances, dining spaces, and living areas, making them the best place for you and your loved ones to enjoy a family game night or big cookouts!

Great news for pet lovers! This property is pet-friendly, so you can bring your furry friends along for the adventure. We want everyone to enjoy their stay, including your four-legged family members. To ensure a paw-sitive experience please be aware of the following:



Pet fees & rules:

We're delighted to welcome furry friends! This property is pet-friendly for dogs, unfortunately we can't accommodate cats at this time.

-Pet fee(s) of $175 plus tax will apply in addition to the nightly rate.

-Please check the weight limit and max number allowed for this unit.

-Please keep your pups leashed outside and clean up after them.

-A separate pet waiver must be signed.

-Any and all damages or issues caused by your pet to a unit or furnishing will be immediately charged to your credit card on file.



Guest Access:

✅ This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $53 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $1.5 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.

There is nothing better than relaxing with friends and family, and listening to the waterfall while watching the sunset over the waters of the crystal clear spring-fed lake. All of this, while only being a short 15 minute drive to Fredericksburg!

Thank you for choosing Stay Texas! Important details for your upcoming stay:

1. Check-in instructions, house rules, and property addresses will be available upon booking.

2. Not all homes have cable; consider setting up a streaming account in advance.

3. Our team is committed to assisting you, though occasional check-in delays may occur during peak periods.

4. WiFi is available in all homes, but uninterrupted service is not guaranteed. No refunds or rate adjustments will be made for mechanical failures, or discontinued or interrupted services that occur during your stay.

5. A $500 fine will be imposed for any evidence of smoking, confetti, vomit residues, or glitter.

6. Set the A/C no lower than 72 degrees to prevent freezing and system issues; no refunds for low-temperature-related A/C problems.

7. We will provide a two-day supply of start-up sundries, including dish soap, sponge, paper towels, toilet paper, bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hand lotion. Guests will need to purchase additional items from a local store or bring them with them. Missing supplies must be reported to our Customer Hospitality team within one hour of arrival.

8. Pets are allowed only in designated pet-friendly units, subject to an extra fee in addition to the nightly rate. Please verify whether pets are permitted in the unit you intend to rent. In the event that a pet is discovered in a non-pet-friendly unit, the guest grants Stay Texas authorization to levy a minimum additional cleaning fee of $500.

9. Bugs are common in the Texas Hill Country; pest control is in place on a regular basis, but some insects are inevitable.

10. In Texas, there are periods of time without significant rainfall causing the county to place a ban on burning. Please check the current burn ban status, before using the fire pit at your vacation rental. Check the amenities to see if this rental is equipped with a fire pit.

- For any issues during your stay, a 72-hour window after check-out is provided to file a claim. Note that refunds won't be issued for claims submitted after this period. We appreciate your cooperation.
