Thank you for the review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the sunset views from the balcony and found the buggy handy for getting around. We appreciate the feedback on the pool; while the Compass Point complex pool is perfect for a quiet evening dip, we’d love to remind future guests that you also have full access to all the main resort pools on the island. This includes the massive Main Pool with the swim-up bar, the Bougainvillea Pool (which is heated!), and the Sails Pool right next to Catseye Beach. It was a pleasure keeping you informed throughout your stay, and we hope to welcome you back to paradise soon!"

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the island! The place had lots of room for our family to spread out. The view from the deck was beautiful! The kitchen was stocked with almost everything we needed. It would have been helpful to have oven mitts. The location was very central. We loved driving around in the golf cart. We would definitely come back again.

Seamless Stay

Perfect size and location for a family of 5. The home had everything we needed to make it a great holiday. Highlights included the central pool, the kitchen to cook some meals, board games to keep the kids busy, and of course the Buggy to get around the island. Do note, if you're a family of more then 4 you won't all fit in the buggy and one adult will need to walk up and down very steep hills - wasn't a concern for us, but worth knowing.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are so glad you enjoyed the beautiful weather and our lovely location, but we are genuinely sorry to hear that certain aspects of the property didn't meet your expectations regarding cleanliness. Please rest assured that we have shared your comments with our cleaning team to address the shower and upholstery immediately. We are also looking into adding more towels and washcloths to the inventory and creating a more detailed 'how-to' guide for the property to make things easier for future guests. The Family Getaway to Paradise

Hamilton Island is one of the great places to holiday and it was made so much more enjoyable as a result of staying at Compass Point 10. Our hosts, their lovely dwelling and all the communication meant the planning and our expectations were spot on. The house was clean and ready for our arrival. The location and supplied buggy enabled easy trips all around the island and we were always back in time to watch the beautiful sunsets from the balcony. Thanks Matt and Susan.

We had a really nice stay. Greeted at the airport & given our buggy & shown to our unit by friendly staff & again picked up all our luggage to get back to the airport at the end of our stay. The kids loved the buggy, it was super convenient for getting around the island. The accommodation was very spacious with a/c & fans in all of the rooms for comfort. The pool was a hi light for the kids. Our only negative was the cleanliness of the second bathroom (this was cleaned after we contacted Matt to let him know) & then when we emptied the bins they both had fowl smelling liquid under the bin liner (not from our rubbish) that was gross to clean out. Lounge cushions also weren’t the cleanest but everything else was clean & fresh. The pros well outweighed any cons & We’d definitely stay again.

Thank you for sharing such detailed feedback. We are so glad the airport valet service, the buggy, and the spacious layout made for a comfortable family holiday—and it’s great to hear the pool was a hit with the kids! Please accept our sincerest apologies regarding the second bathroom and the condition of the bins. We strive for a high standard of cleanliness, and it is clear we missed the mark in those areas during your arrival. We are glad Matt was able to address the bathroom quickly for you, and we have since performed a deep clean of the bins and lounge cushions to ensure this doesn't happen again. We truly appreciate your understanding and the fact that you’d choose to stay with us again. We look forward to welcoming you back for a 5-star experience next time!"

Wonderful Family Holiday!

Hamilton Island was the first stop on our family trip to Australia and Compass Point 10 set the standard very high. From being picked up at the airport to leaving via the ferry we felt like we had landed in paradise. The property was spotless and spacious with spectacular views. It has everything you could possibly need and is an amazing location. Recommendations for One Tree Hill sunset was much appreciated - it was stunning. We traveled as a family of 5 adults but didn’t find any issues with the 4 seater buggy - the island is such a beautiful place to travel around making 2 trips was never a problem. We had some lovely meals at Manta Ray and Coca Chu. Day trips out to the Whit Sundays and Reef World were well organised and lots of fun. We used both companies Explore and Cruise Whitsundays. A big thankyou to Matthew and his team for making everything so easy for us - can’t wait to return!!!

Perfect spot!

Our family of five spent five nights at Compass 10 over the Easter holidays. Communication with the Manager from booking was efficient and timely. Check in and out was super easy, we were met at the airport with our buggy on arrival. Everyone loved the buggy, we had to hire a second one as they only fit 4 and half the fun of Hammo is burning around in the buggies. The main living area or the apartment is upstairs, making the most of the views, downstairs are the bedrooms and bathrooms with a small veranda off the main room. Still has a view but not as good as upstairs. The views from the balcony are amazing, better than the photos online. The kitchen was well equipped and we made several meals using the bbq on the balcony while the (very bold) cockatoos watched us with interest. We have been to Hammo several times before and it never disappoints. We will be back!

"Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are thrilled that your family of five enjoyed your Easter break at Compass Point 10. It’s great to hear that the check-in process and valet service made for a smooth start to your holiday—and you're absolutely right, 'burning around' in the buggies is a huge part of the fun! We’re so glad you enjoyed those upstairs views; we agree that photos can never quite capture how beautiful that outlook really is. It sounds like you had some great evenings on the balcony with the local cockatoos keeping you company! It was a pleasure hosting you, and since you're Hamilton Island regulars, we truly look forward to welcoming you back for your next visit!"

BEST EVER holiday for Mum, Dad and 5 kids.

Where to start? The host's kind and helpful communications or the beautiful, impeccably kept and well stocked home or the convenience and grandness of it all over our 5 night stay? Let me point-form it all: (*) First and foremost, Matt and his family have not only opened up their incredible home with a generous spirit, but the communications were over and beyond hospitable! They were family-like and ensured a fuller holiday for us newbies! (*) Generous modern home, incredibly ideal location and not wanting for anything. Huge store of kitchen items, slept 7 of us comfortably. Everything as described and then some! (*) Views undersold by photos - this place is in the perfect location away from the resorts yet 150m to main strand, mariner and all facilities. The views have to be seen in person to be believed and appreciated! Wow! (*) Valet pick up and handover was seamless and oh so helpful, with this being our first time to Hamilton Island. (*) Buggy is modern and carried us easily and safely all around the Island (2× since 7 of us LOL), on a day's charge with plenty to spare pre nightly plug in. (*) Beds were comfortable, lounge was perfectly positioned and the dining table vast for any family! Plenty of stocked board games and TVs allow for kids wind-down. (*) Bathrooms were clean and wonderful, with water always hot enough for 7! All sheets, coverings and household items are thought of and supplied. (*) Location, Location, Location allowed us to launch to everywhere!

Over the years, it’s become a place where we’ve created countless memories—morning walks along Catseye Beach, afternoons out on the water exploring the Whitsundays, and relaxed evenings on the deck with a BBQ and sunset views.

We chose to purchase Compass Point 10 so we could share this experience with other families and groups looking to enjoy everything Hamilton Island has to offer—from beach days and water sports to dining at the marina and easy access to the Great Barrier Reef.

We take pride in making sure our guests have a seamless, stress-free stay and are always happy to help with tips, recommendations, or planning your Hamilton Island holiday.
