Views, Peaceful, Clean, Welcoming!Just a few words that describe this home away from home. The location and parking were very convenient. The living area layout and floor to ceiling windows facing the mountains brought the beauty of nature inside when inclement weather keeps you in, otherwise you can enjoy the views from the fire pit seating setup outside below.

Chimney Rock Cottage is a winner! I first chose it because of the view in pictures. No disappointment there! But the peaceful, serene, “at home” feel of the cottage won me over. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay and hated to have to leave! It was welcoming, relaxing and convenient to everything we wanted. Hosts are top notch! So friendly and helpful. Cannot wait to visit again!

This was a perfect place for us. We were bring our children and grandchildren for a stay and play at Lake Lure. The property and location fully exceeded our expectations. Would recommend a stay here for cleanliness and location!

Perfect springtime visit

This property is exactly as seen in the photos. It’s extremely clean, with an amazing view, very convenient to the great Chimney Rock State Park and other trails.

Beautiful View!

Very nice upgraded home with a fantastic view of chimney rock! Only a short drive or walk to town and to the river. Highly recommend this place.

Lovely View, Well Stocked

This home is truly a lovely mountain retreat with Chimney Rock in full view with the entrance a few minutes away and a small glimpse of the river across the road. The place was well appointed and clean and with the supermarket about 15 minutes down the hill, the kitchen was stocked with everything including extras like spices. We enjoyed our short stay.

A great cottage with fantastic views!

We had a great stay at Chimney Rock. This cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed to be home, away from home. The hosts ensured we were checked in smoothly and let us know they were a phone call away if we needed anything. The location is great and the view of Chimney Rock is breathtaking.

Great Getaway!

What a cool house this is! The view of Chimney Rock and the Broad River was so nice out on the porch. Conveniently located to everything that Chimney Rock Village and Lake Lure have to offer. Comfy bed! We really enjoyed our stay, thank you!!

This was probably the cleanest, most well-equipped house we have stayed in. Roomy, comfortable, beautiful views, close to town…this was a dream location! We will be going back!!

Not a fan of the memory foam mattress and the final day garbage drop was hard to find but otherwise it was a spectacular place that we greatly enjoyed!

One of the best!

This was one of the best VRBOs we have ever stayed at! All conveniences are on site here, coffee filters, Pam spray, ziploc bags, all toiletries, etc. Location and views as advertised. Old Rock house with modern upfit and decor which was perfect for us. We walked everywhere! We will definitely be back sometime!

Beautiful house and view!

We took our first family vacation and wanted to go somewhere with a view. The house was absolutely beautiful and the view is the best you can get! Love the fire pit too! Everything was clean. So many little details thought of to help the stay feel cozy and "at home". Definitely recommend using this house for a mountain getaway.

The Perfect Place

One minute into our arrival and we were in love with this cottage. The view of the mountain is amazing. The river is both highly visible and audible. The decor is really cool & retro but also very comfortable. The cottage had everything we needed both with cooking stuff, plates etc and paper products . The beds were super comfy. Even checked the brand so I could buy one for myself. The yard was large & somewhat private since the lot next to house is empty and the other side yard has a lot of space between the neighboring house. The fire pit was great. Plenty of chairs and all in great condition. The only bad thing is that we had to leave. Miss it already. Will hopefully be back soon.

Modern Cozy with Amazing Views

Our family had an amazing stay at this cabin! The house is exactly as pictured. Clean, comfortable, and let's not forget those VIEWS of Chimney Rock. We enjoyed waking up to the beautiful view and ending the evening on the back deck. Our teenager enjoyed relaxing in the sitting room. Upon check in we did have some issues with the code not working. It was late and my phone service was spotty. Emily was very quick to respond and get us fixed up. I also appreciated that she followed up with us the next day. We thought the location was great! The house was on a dead end road, so not alot of traffic. It was nice that the house was not located on the busy main road but close to everything ( Chimney Rock State Park,Lake Lure, Flowering Bridge,restaurants, grocery store). Not a huge issue for us but please be advised the neighbor was a bit noisey. We could hear him arrive home due to the loud exhaust on his vehicle between midnight and 1am each night. Our first night he popped fireworks (1am). Overall wonderful house wonderful stay! Thank you for hosting us! We would love to stay here again in the future!

We loved it!

We are a family of six; my husband and I, and 4 kids - (17yr, 15yr, 12yr, and 9yr old.) I had looked online for a while and I am so glad I found this place! The view, the decor, the cleanliness, the backyard, everything was excellent. We were all very impressed. It was everything I had hoped and more! The view from the living room was beautiful! You can see Chimney Rock from the backyard. You can also hear the creek down below. We had coffee on the deck/patio and also used the fire pit twice in the evening. The weather was amazing, the sun was out and yet the air was crisp and cool (so much cooler compared to Florida!) The home is walking distance to the "village" where you can shop and eat. My husband and I walked twice down the hill to explore and go to the shops and restaurants. You can also walk along the creek and dip your feet. We ate at Burntshirt Vineyards Bar & Grill twice (once for lunch and once for dinner.) The food was great, the wine was great also! We also tried the Old Rock Cafe for lunch and the food was great there as well. The home has a queen size murphy bed in the living room, 2 futons in the den, a king bed in the master bedroom, and a queen bed in the 2nd bedroom. The beds were very comfortable. Plenty of pillows, blankets, towels, etc. There's shampoo, conditioner, body wash, laundry detergent, hairdryer, wine opener, lighter, all kitchen necessities, keurig coffee maker with creamer, sugar, etc., games, chess board, access to movie apps on the tv, beach towels, just to name a few things that I was very happy they had. This place was everything we could have asked for and more. Very new and clean as well! I highly recommend it and will definitely come back again!
