Enjoy the Lake front Cottage, snuggled by lake Couchiching with magnificent sunset view. You can spend your day time on the dock and your nights sitting on our large upper deck and/or inside Bar.
Located in Washago village in Simcoe County, a small village just north of Orillia.
15 mins drive to the famous Weber’s Burgers and Casino Ramara, 20 mins drive to Orillia and 90 mins drive from Toronto/GTA.

The property is on a beautiful a lake with a gorgeous view but it is dirty, poorly equipped and falling apart. I do not recommend staying here.

The inside of the cottage was modern and welcoming and nicely accommodated 9 of us. Just a couple of things needed doing. The door handle of one bedroom kept falling off, and the entrance closet door was off the hinges. Also we couldn't get the little gas fireplace to work. Otherwise everything else was perfect, nice kitchen facilities, large living room dining area and clean bathrooms. View of the lake was lovely.

Excellent time

This place was everything we needed - lakeside with all of the conveniences of home. Clean, accessible, and we caught at least a hundred fish right off the dock. Would definitely stay here again!

Stunning location

Loved the place, warm, comfortable and relaxing. Enjoyed 3 whole days peddle boating and swimming. Fantastic stay! Beautiful house, with so many thoughtful touches. I would love to go back for a second visit with my family.

Second Wonderful Summer Week

We stayed here last year and had so much fun that we decided to return! Clean, comfortable, and had another great time. The fire table was a new and lovely touch.

We had an amazing experience at this property. The lakefront view and the patio is enough to keep you entertained. The bbq grill was clean and ready to use. The firepit had enough propane to get us going throughout the night. We really had a lot of fun. Would definitely be visiting again.

I thank you for being kind and flexible around the checkin time. You answered all my queries promptly and were an attentive host. You should be very proud of your property. It’s a wonderful getaway. It was very clean and spacious and its the perfect location. Thanks for a great experience!

Nice property but not cleaned.

We enjoyed our stay, the property had good space and the beds were really comfortable. You can’t beat the view on the water! We were unfortunately dissatisfied with the cleanliness of the property, if it was cleaned before we arrived it wasn’t apparent at all. We found the dishes smelt, the dishwasher was full & had food on the dishes, we found broken glass on the property & cigarettes all around. There weren’t any extra garbage bags that we could find to use, no towels in the house or extra toiletries incase a guest forgot something. These extra touches would have gone along way, the kitchen isn’t stocked well so if preparing food plan ahead & assume what you need, isn’t there. The host responded quickly & answered any questions we had, we appreciate that. We had a nice stay but would have like the property better managed and equipped with supplies!

One Day Weekend Getaway

There were negatives and positives to the stay. Ill start with the positives: The location is beautiful attached to the lake. The inside of the house was very clean. The host is a fast responder. Negatives: Some of the things did not come as advertised in the posting. The description mentioned canoe and paddle boats and that we could use it at our own risk, but there was only one paddle boat that was broken. The place was not well stocked- example -no shampoos, the BBQ grill was very very dirty. Seemed like it wasnt clean for a while. Also the host doesn't actually seem to know what is actually available at the location. She was a great communicator but had minimal information to give us. Overall experience was good, but a suggestion to ask the host about availability of everyday basic needs before making the trip.

Bare bones, no cleaning supplies, dirty kitchen, overflowing garbage.

If you’re looking for a cottage with a responsive host and basic supplies (kitchen items, cleaning spray etc), this isn’t the place for you. Overall, we made the best of our stay and had a good time but there were a few reasons I wouldn’t recommend this stay. (I also never leave negative reviews, but this is warranted). Firstly, I’m convinced that the host has never been to this property. There was one roll of paper towel, no basic kitchen items, dirty bbq, no cleaning supplies and the garbage was full and overflowing when we got there. There were a number of notices from the town and neighbors on proper garbage disposal and actually removing garbage properly. The pots and pans were all incredibly dirty, we had to buy our own. There was no tinfoil or parchment paper. I think this should have been disclosed in the listing so we could at least come prepared. The host also called me by the wrong name in our communications, which I did not appreciate. There was also no check out instructions. The location is good, right by a public beach though. The view is beautiful, the lake itself is very mushy, though. I’m sharing this review so other visitors can either proceed with caution, and if so,can know what to expect and prepare better for their stay.

Nice and quiet cottage

Great and clean cottage that sleeps 9. Nice deck overlooking the lake and sunset and the public beach in the distance. Many dishes in cabinets, air fryer, microwave and utensils to host a meal. Close to the downtown where you can walk to a cafe, ice cream shop and a couple of restaurants. Would stay again.

What a great place!

The dock and patio are perfect for watching the sunset or enjoying the rays. You can either walk to the beach or peddle boat to it in about 5mins. The cottage was clean and the linens were fresh. Host was great at response time too! I would recommend this cottage.

The home is right on the waterfront and is meant for family enjoyment. 4 bedrooms, a gorgeous living area and a breath-taking view of the lake! This gorgeous house has a big dock with boat slip which is great to sit on Muskoka chairs with a glass of wine/beer/tea/coffee to wonders of nature!

Kitchen comes fully equipped with instant cooking pot, pans, plates, blender, coffee maker, toaster, cups, and cutlery. This also includes a dishwasher and a huge side by side fridge and freezer.

Classy Bar with wine, beer and whiskey glasses.
Everything you need to prepare scrumptious meals is at your disposal and a propane BBQ is just outside on the large open deck for nice meals outside. The dining room seats 6 people with the table.

Bedrooms are well furnished with closets and storage space and comfortable new mattresses. The primary bedroom has a queen size bed and big size chest with mirror and also have attached bathroom. Bathrooms are clean and modern and both include full functioning shower panel systems. Main bathroom has Jacuzzi tub. The three other bedrooms are brand new and feature Queen beds in two rooms and a two-story bunk bed in one room. Linens and bath towels are provided - please bring your own beach towels.

High speed 500 Mbps stable internet connection.

For the rainy days, you can sit inside and enjoy movies or stream from your favourite service on the big screen tv.

For those that love to swim the water is generally around 3.5 feet deep for the first 100m and then it drops off. Enjoy the paddle boards, canoe or paddle boat and we encourage you to bring water shoes for the sandy/mushy bottom.

LCBO- 3 mins drive.

There are also fruit markets, Bar & Restaurant and local convenience stores within walking distance and a boat slip for anyone bringing a boat.
