Cozy and Cute cottage with yard 10 minutes from Nelson

Cozy and welcoming cottage. Think grandma"s house in the country that has been spruced up a bit! Good sized kitchen and dining area is perfect for hanging out and socializing after a day on the slopes. There is a large shaded outside deck with BBQ. The living room has a large couch and 42" TV with Roku streaming service. Two cozy bedrooms, and a full bathroom that has a washer and dryer. Lots of parking available for 4 vehicles. A partially finished basement perfect for storing extra gear or maybe playing a round of air hockey on the full-sized table. We are both kid and pet-friendly. Motorcycles are welcome and we have a covered area to park bikes.

Great hosts! Shared their knowledge of the area and all their recommendations did not disappoint. Our girls had a great time and us Granties loved the porch! I’m a puzzler and it was perfect for this. Shaded with great views. 10/10 would recommend. Loved it!

Great Little Retreat

This cabin was nice and quiet, well-stocked, and close to Nelson and Sproule Creek Trail. Dog-friendly, and my dog loved it.

A great value! Exactly as described. Really generous stocking of cooking supplies and treats in the kitchen. Hosts are fantastic - great communication and helpful. Highly recommended.

Awesome Stay

Stayed in the cabin for a week. The hosts are awesome and so was our stay. The cabin is in a great location and had everything a person needed to be comfortable. Pet friendly and a pet friendly neighborhood too. The bonfire pit on the front lawn was so much fun. Thanks guys….I’ll be back for sure!

Perfect Stay

Everything about our stay was perfect. The cottage was like described but even a little better. Aric and Meesh were the best hosts and left very thoughtful treats for our stay. Can't wait to come stay again and visit Nelson in the summer.

Granddaughter's Wedding

Lovely place. Comfortable, homey and so many extras! We were so busy with all the wedding activity, but we did take a little time for our morning coffee, watching wild turkeys on the lawn. Highly reccommend the Bears Den. Thank you watchingbthe wild turkeys.

Cozy cottage perfectly situated for us between Nelson and Crescent Valley. Ambient lighting and fresh flowers made it a welcoming place to stay! Can’t wait to go back again!

Very Cozy and nice place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this place, it was very cozy and felt like we are living in rural county. Host was amazing and provided the information what we were looking for. I would really recommend this place to all if you are planning to stay in Nelson.

Home away from home

The Bears Den Cottage is a very cozy and spacious#home away from home. Located 5 minutes from gas;coffèe ,beer and alcohol and foʻd and sundries. Has nice big yard for children to play. Game room featuring dart bords and air hockey game. Exceĺlant wifi and cell reception.on sight laundry room huge asset also . Our hosts are an easy going, fun loving gracious couple named Aric and Meesha. They made u feel right at home and treated us just like family. We will definately use this property again without hesitation.We are already planning a return in 2025. A sincere Thank You to Aric and Meesha from Mark,Angie,Angel, and Michael we will see you guys next year Cheers

Wonderful retreat for family and a dog

We visited Nelson in early July 2024. This cottage is set against a mountain forest with a bear feasting on cherries some nights. It's near the town of Nelson, but the property is more level than much of Nelson, and has plenty of parking space, relative seclusion, and a great place for a dog to roam without being close to a highway. Our hosts, Aric and Meesh, were wonderful and offered us fresh lavender from their garden. There is cut firewood and a fire ring if you like to sit by campfire. The cottage is simple, but clean and has all amenities including full kitchen and bathroom that includes washer and dryer. We enjoyed mornings on the porch drinking coffee and the proximity to everything in town. I highly recommend this retreat for your lodging needs near Nelson.

Fabulous accommodation

This was a great location for our day trips to halcyon and ainsworth Hot springs. Also a nice hike along the Kaslo River and a tour of the Moyie Sternwheeler. The hosts are very accommodating, responsive, and kind. We cooked a lot of meals in the home, and there are lots of pots and pans, cooking and eating utensils, salt and pepper, and food basics like butter, olive oil, condiments. No microwave, so keep that in mind. We would love to come back to the area and stay more nights.

True to its description the Bear Den was cozy and very comfortable. Quiet local with easy access to surroundings and so many thoughtful extras (cream, butter, Easter chocolates) that made the stay easy. Kitchen was stocked with everything needed. Thank you!

Bears Den Gettaway

This place is just as described. A rustic cottage that has been updated and that is clean and comfortable. Many games to play for kids and adults. It’s only a few minutes drive into Nelson. The owners have great and easy going communication. They also supplied the cottage with little amenities to make traveling easy. We would definitely stay here again for a future visit.

A perfect private retreat

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cottage was a great size and the little nice touches really welcomed us - like a soft light in the bedrooms, the porch lights and fresh grapes! Aric and Michelle were so friendly and welcoming and had great recommendations on where to dine in Nelson. I loved seeing the wild turkeys on the lawn in the morning! You've got a winner of a place!

As it says a cute and cozy cottage. We were visiting our son in Nelson. Arik and Michelle are excellent hosts with great communication pre and while we were there. Very responsive to any questions we had. It was so nice to have some fresh fruit on arrival and some milk in the fridge as well as basic condiments. Nice to sit outside on the porch and just a great relaxing vibe. Well equipped with a bbq and anything you need to cook indoors. Comfortable beds and great to have the washer and dryer! All round an excellent property on the outskirts of town by very easily accessible.

Everything was thought of to make us comfortable, including dog treats. Many things in fridge. Table had things laid out nicely. Flowers and battery candles, towels colour separated. We didn’t use Amazon, but it was offered.

Lovely stay in rustic cabin

We had a great stay at Aric and Michelle’s cabin. It had everything we needed and the hosts were gracious and personable. Would definitely consider renting this place again.
