Oxbow on the Guadalupe River

The Oxbow Home is located on a beautiful 78-acre gated boutique development located on the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels, Texas. (Technically Sattler Texas). In the Oxbow, you have one of the most dramatic Hill Country Bluffs in all of Comal County.
The Oxbow delivers a stunning Guadalupe riverfront and is located just 3 miles under Canyon Lake Dam, 10 minutes from Gruene TX, and only down the road from Whitewater Amphitheater. The home is minutes away from shopping, food, and entertainment.
The Oxbows river access is a short walk to the neighborhoods Guadalupe river access point.
The pool and pavilion are not accessible to renters, only the private Guadalupe riverside.
Please DO NOT walk onto or use the neighbor's putting green in the backyard.

This home features 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and comfortably sleeps 12.
Downstairs: Master: King
2nd Bedroom: Queen
3rd Bedroom: King
Upstairs: Bunk room with 2 Queens, 2 Twins a shared bathroom, and a second living area. -Perfect for kids!
Great home for 3 couples with their children!

Life is always better by the Guadalupe.

Must be 25 or older to book, kids are welcome with a parent/legal guardian.
Renter's ID and Credit Card must be presented to receive check-in information.
Occupancy is not to be exceeded at any time.

*If booking through Airbnb, the "Prices include all fees" does not apply if you're bringing a pet.
Pet-Friendly unit with the following fees: 2 pets max.
$25/day/pet
$60 Pet Cleaning fee (this is for interior ONLY and NOT picking up after the dog in yard)
(This fee does not cover damage to the property or grounds resulting from a dog, including but not limited to: chewing, scratching, digging, and unreported housetraining accidents.)
$500 Pet Deposit 7-10 business days after your departure refunded back to the cc on file with no damages or violations.

This home is in a gated community and has amazing views and access to the Guadalupe River. My family spent our Thanksgiving Holiday weekend here and we were not disappointed. It is our favorite place when visiting family in Canyon Lake and the newly installed deer feeders are so cool when the deer come for dinner at sunset. The home is large enough for a large family and the river is walking distance from the house. We didn't do the river, as there was plenty to keep us busy at the house. The large patio has an outdoor kitchen, but we haven't used it yet. This will be our second time to stay at OxBow and we will be back. The hosting company and agent - Kate - is very responsive. Highly Recommended.

We had an amazing stay at Oxbow! The place was spotless and situated in a beautiful location. The check-in and check-out process was a breeze. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great getaway!

Oxbow river trip

The house was really nice and clean but I was disappointed the distance to the river. I filtered my search to water front which it wasn’t. I didn’t read the detail so that’s my fault. Also it has pool listed as a feature but then when check in instructions were sent, we were then told the pool is only for owners.

Mother's Day at Oxbow

Clean and spacious home with nice outdoor kitchen. The bedrooms were all spacious and the home felt like a brand new home. The internet worked flawlessly. Every bedroom had its own bathroom and TV. The only suggestion would be to provide some deer corn and maybe add a game room. But, you can't go wrong staying here. We will be back!

Three bedrooms each have their own bathrooms! The kitchen space and appliances are very nice. It was fun to watch movies on the back patio. The community is gated and quiet. The river is easy to walk to and there's a flagstone surface at the edge. A few of us jumped into the cold water for a quick swim(early April). The summer would be great! There are a few underwater ledges you might encounter. We enjoyed listening to a band at Gruene Hall, a delicious dinner at the Gristmill, and the German cuisine at Krauss'. It's a great place to stay if you're going to a concert at the Whitewater Amphitheater. We definitely recommend this property.

Property was beautiful. Everyone was very comfortable in their room. It was nice that each bedroom had their own bath. The only complaints are that the fireplace was not working, We had cold weather and it would have been nice to be able to use it. The listing said there was a pool but yet you had no pool access if you want it to use it. Overall we were very pleased with our stay. Would definitely stay again.

We rented the house for two families of ten. The house was perfect. The location to Gruene, the lake, the river , everything was excellent. We will be back!

Perfect rental on the river for our family

The Oxbow house could not have been more perfect for our group. We had 3 couples and 4 kids (ages 11-13). Each couple had a spacious, cozy bedroom AND private bathroom. The kids had the entire upstairs space with their own bathroom and living room. We walked to the river access near the community pool and spent all day tubing and relaxing on the river. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, cups/mugs, utensils, grill utensils…etc. There was plenty of seating for everyone to eat and hang out downstairs. It was the nicest vacation rental we’ve ever stayed at.

Great stay

Property was great. Clean and spacious with lots of storage. Loved that the three bedrooms on the main floor all had attached bathrooms and the kids' space (bunk room, bathroom, and sitting room) was on its own on the second floor. Kitchen was well-equipped. Electronic access to the house was easy. Only complaint was that the water in the master bath shower was scalding hot no matter what you did and was essentially unusable. Even so, would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Trip on the Guadalupe

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is located in a wonderful gated subdivision with immediate access to the Guadalupe River. Our group fished the Guadalupe and the biggest fish we caught was right out in front of the property. The home was well furnished and the patio was perfect for winding down the day, grilling, and watching football. The house looks brand new and each bedroom has its own shower and bathroom. We will definitely be back!
