My family flew in from the US, and booked late. We were lucky to find Harry’s place in Newtown, and was accepted for the reservation. Our reservation was for 4 nights, and we all had our rooms, and fun time. Newtown is generally speaking an older neighborhood, Harry has one of the best maintained properties in the neighborhood, inside and out. The property is meticulously decorated, with 3 yards, though we didn’t have chance to use them. At one night, we tried to use the bench in the beautiful back patio, but could light it up, as none of the switches worked for us. The electrical wiring at the property could be less than intuitive, as the light switch for the downstairs hall is only found in 1 of the bedrooms. Also, the smoke detector upstairs has a hole in it, which would have been a serious code violation in the US. One of bedroom doors would also make terribly loud noise when closing, showing its age. None of the above really bothered me, and is just for information only. What concerned all of us, was that we could NOT find our host on the day of the check-in, from 3 pm to 9 pm, via email, 5 phone calls, and the messenging system with the reservation App. It was stressful when it got dark with no place to go, and we had a 80 year old senior with us.
