Come enjoy your stay in our Pet Friendly and Historic "Beach Box" across the

street from the beach. This 2 bedroom 1 bath cottage is just steps away from

the beautiful beach. We have central heat/air, washer/dryer, High Speed Wi-Fi,

Smart TV and off street parking.



Our beautiful and rustic little cottage features two queen pillow top beds and

two twin pillow tops. We have a full size kitchen with all that's needed to

cook a full dinner!



Only 3.8 miles from Bridge. Yes we are Pet Friendly!



### **The space**



We have a new 60 inch Smart TV to enjoy your evenings with Netflix or your

other streaming services.



Our beautiful little cottage features two queen pillow top beds and two twin

pillow tops. We have a full size kitchen with all that's needed to cook a full

dinner!



We hope you will love the original wood plank walls and ceilings. This is the

way they built these original cottages years ago. Even the cabinets are built

from the same wood and by the same carpenters. A very Historic Outer Banks

Beach Cottage. This beach cottage can be described as Rustic. We are making

improvements to our new addition and you may notice a few minor imperfections.

We hope you will love the fabulous location as we are focused on providing a

clean and comfortable respite for you and your family.

We have plenty of off street parking and are perfectly fine with your 4 legged

companions!



Even with a thorough modernization the property is a historical home that is

now over 70 years old. It has some eccentricities that reflect building

standards and designs from the turn of the last century that lends to its

charm as an older beach cottage. Our bathroom is not as large as modern built,

but even so, we hope that you will love our older and charming home.



Pet Fee is $99 per pet and per stay plus tax and processing fees.



If not disclosed prior to your stay, the pet fee is $300



Pets must be house trained and stay off of bedding and furniture



An Extra Cleaning fee of $99 will be charged to remove pet hair from bedding

or furniture



Extra Charges:



Early Check-In for 1 PM - $75 (if available) Late Check-Out at 1 PM - $75 (if

available)



Normal Check Out is 10 AM. A fee of $45 per hour is charged beginning at

10:05 AM



Cleaners are on a schedule and can not be kept waiting!



This is a Family/Residential unit and area. No loud music or noise. Quiet

hours begin at 9 PM.

Property desperately needs an update

PROS: - prime location near beach - Fast WiFi - Comfortable bed - Jimmy’s seafood buffet within walking distance CONS: - Lockbox has a 4-digit code. When we arrived, the lockbox was set to that very 4-digit code. Not exactly secure. - Inaccurate, dated pictures in listing. False advertising. - Electric stove had something funky on a burner that gave off a putrid odor when we boiled water. - Kitchen sink dripping - The air smelled musty. Air filter was NASTY. Yeah, I checked. - Fire extinguisher expired a while ago. Useless. - NASTY bathroom with tile literally falling apart - Outdoor shower broken - Fridge froze our fruit and vegetables - Shower escutcheon plate falling off - Blinds in severe disrepair - Weatherstripping torn - 7 of 11 possible bulbs in 3 ceiling fan fixtures missing- Deck chairs so rusty I was afraid they’d break if I tried sitting - All entry hardware (locks, doorknob) slowly being eaten by the salt air. - Gate at top of stairs had been dragging on the deck for some time due to failing hinges. Opening it caused a rusted hinge to snap, leaving the gate hanging by a single rusty hinge. There's more, but that's enough to give you the flavor of our experience.

Kitty Hawk House

The house was clean and I had everything I needed. It was a very short walk to the beach, as advertised. The neighborhood was quiet and I especially enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to the waves in the evening.

Off Season Vacation

Location location location! We rented this place last minute with 2 dogs in tow. The proximity to the beach is less than a block with a public access at the end of the street. The house is older and amenities basic, but for us it was just right.
