We had a great time! The place is pretty decent, definitely has its own quirks but pretty much exactly as listed! It's not too fancy which was great because we had some kiddos with us but we were able to feel comfortable with them wandering because everything was decently durable. Definitely recommend!

Our host Louis is such a nice man. The place was great and secluded. Just wish there was closer public swimming. Other than that we are booking again in September and for next summer!!!!

Bring your own firewood. The one bedroom, the electricity doesn't work, only the fan and the bathroom lights work.

Host is very accommodating, giving us a dozen eggs for our breakfast. Letting us use the ATV was a plus. All the beddings and linens are clean. The house is a bit old but all the washrooms are renovated.

Girls Weekend

Louis met us when we arrived. Gave a tour and left us to it. Place was very cool. Great space and great outdoor space. We would return for sure.

Nice location, but average accommodation

The cottage is located on a big land, there is a small pond next to it, with a paddle boat, but its steering shaft was broken, so it was unusable. Luckily, the owner allowed us to use the ATV there, and that was lots of fun. Rice Lake is right across the street but most of the shoreline is private property, so not really usable, except for a walk. The closest public park/beach is 20 minutes away, and it's overall nice and swimmable. The small village of Hastings is located about 20 minutes as well, and you can fish there. In terms of the cottage itself, it's old, but has some recent renovations (bathrooms mainly). Unfortunately, some beds were not that comfortable, some amenities were missing in the bathrooms. The kitchen was not very clean, especially inside the cupboards, but had the amenities that we needed. Overall, we felt like the price we paid was a bit expensive, considering the condition of the accommodation.

Great place for us to stay. Property could use a little TLC, but the house was spacious with plenty of beds and bathrooms. Would definitely book again.

The kitchen needs some serious attention. Some of the cupboards had random items and were very disorganized and dirty. We washed all dishes before use. Broken cupboards and not in good repair. One of the beds broke when she touched it, which left someone sleeping on a couch.
