Ahhhhh, Chincoteague Island - the smell of Salt Marsh in the air - the visions of our Wild Ponies wandering through the Refuge. Once you visit our beautiful Island, it stays with you forever. But life is so busy - it's hard to get away for a whole week every year, isn't it? Or maybe you're one who prefers to take many shorter trips over the course of the year - a Weekend Warrior, if you will? If so, the Assateague Inn was made for you. Whether you'd like to visit for 3 nights or 11, we're here to make your time in Paradise as memorable as possible. 


Our Studio Suites have a Private Bedroom with queen size bed, and a separate living room with queen sleeper sofa. There is also a spacious Full Bath, and a Kitchenette fully equipped with cookware and dishes, 2 burner stove top, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster and eating area. Our Studio Suites accommodate up to five guests. Relax in the AC and enjoy Flat Screen Cable TV and Free WiFi after a fun-filled day on the Beach, or slip out to the refreshing Pool to cool off. 

The Inn is located directly on the Creek, and is a great spot for Crabbing, or simply taking in the Herons and Egrets fishing for their morning meals. Located just off of Maddox Boulevard, you're only a short bike or car ride from Mini Golf, Dining, and of course, Assateague National Seashore! When you're not enjoying playing on the waterfront, relax on the huge landscaped greens with plenty of Picnic Tables and Barbecue Stations to cook up the Fresh Catch of the Day.

Oyster festival

We had short trip for the oyster festival but really enjoyed our stay. It was quiet and cozy. Beautiful views off the deck.

The kitchen was ok, not the best selection of dishes and cups. We didn’t cook so not sure how stove top worked, and the ice is down in the main Inn’s lobby. There was a small microwave. There was a small dish soap and sponge provided which was nice. Also, salt/pepper and paper towels. The coffee maker didn’t make super hot coffee and the button labels were rubbed off from using it so I had to just press buttons until it started. Unit is on 2nd floor, didn’t know this ahead and would of not booked as both me and hubby have issues walking and had to deal with a small flight getting into inn and then a regular set to our level. The furniture and decor is very dated which was fine but it might help to update. VHS / DVD player in living room. Limited cable in both rooms. It was very clean. The only ac (hotel style) was in living room and the bedroom was warm and we had to use two fans to keep cool in back bedroom. The pool for inn was nice and updated. No pool towels so bring own since you only get 4 sets of towels to last entire stay. I noticed while packing up today the front of a drawer was coming off the drawer in bedroom. There is a pull out sofa bed and we discovered once there a pull out bed in the love seat. This was great but since not mentioned in listing we brought a cot and sheets for our other son. Once the beds are pulled out it’s almost impossible to walk to kitchen or out front door, the bed comes right to table, but kids said beds were ok. Hubby was very unhappy.
