House is the second floor of a remodeled 100 year old wood home. Great value for the money, was clean, and quite spacious for the price. Kitchen was adequately stocked with usable pots, utensils, plates, cups, and drip coffee maker. No toaster, but broiler on the oven worked fine. Being on the 2nd floor, the side entrance to the unit and stairs are quite steep—no problem for us and once upstairs the place is great—but someone with mobility issues might be challenged by the stairs. Two of the three mattresses were very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay, big bang for the buck, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again when in St. Charles.

Was a good meeting spot for us and friends. Basic needs met . Stairs to get in are steep so not a place for older people but worked just fine for us

I booked this property for my daughter and her friends for a concert at the amphitheater - it was a short Uber to the venue - property owner was easy to work with and very responsive

Convenient and Clean

A really nice stay for four adults. Very clean bathroom and a good home base to explore St. Louis. Within walking distance to a coffee shop, bakery, and cute little Main Street area. Would stay here again.

It was nice. Be prepared for stairs; I wasn't. Also, there where no toiletries' available. The one time I don't pack shampoo/conditioner (because it's normally there) they didn't have any.

St. Charles in Water

Good location, walk to historic Main st

We enjoyed our stay. The unit was clean, although fabric on kitchen table seats were stained. Tiny, but very clean bathroom. Also, the description of the property did not mention the very steep stairs to the upstairs unit. While we were able to negotiate the stairs, some others booking might find themselves in a unit difficult to access.

Good location, & parking.

Our family, with kids, had a good stay here. We didn't spend lots of time in the house except for mornings and evenings. It was a good value. Kitchen, bedrooms, main room & bathroom all served us well. There is a steep set of stairs leading to our top floor unit, though it was of no issue for us. The host was easy to get a hold of for any questions we had. Thanks again!

Good communication from host. Location was close to shopping and Old St Charles shops . The condition of the actually place was not the greatest …. Lots of broken blinds , holes in multiple spots. No items in shower was an inconvenience. The pot smell coming from downstairs occupants was not the best but out of control of host . Improvements -Would have loved some lamps in living area ,a place to put feet up to relax while watching TV and possible throw in the cooler temps .

Steep Stairs

We did enjoy our stay but the listing was very vague regarding stairs. There are very very steep stairs to climb to get into the house that could potentially cause issues for other renters that was not mentioned or pictured in the listing. It’s is a very cute older home and about a 20 minute walk to Main Street.

Clean apartment. On the top floor so the stairs were a little difficult to navigate with bags. Blinds in most rooms were broken.

I am sorry to report our finding of the condition of this property sad. The unit had some upgrades, but there still was a hole in the bedroom wall, stains on furnture, paint bubbling and mold on ceiling in bath and the stairs, the first thing you see when you enter really needed paint. The linens were all new and nice, the AC worked great and kitchen was bare minimum. This is the first time I have ever left a review like this and I hope the owner gets out to his property to fix his problems.

I informed the host that the broken blinds in the bathroom offered no privacy to use the toilet or shower. The property comes with 3 sets of stairs that my mother could not navigate. This was not mentioned in property description by the host.The security light over the outside door was either blown or did not work. I talked to the host who let me believe I would be getting a refund. Repeated attempts to communicate have failed.But the place was clean and the check in procedure was fantastic.
