Cute small apartment in a great location, good for travellers who don't plan on spending much time at home. There was unfortunately a lot of mould in the bathroom and the small handheld shower water heater took some time to get used to.

As a former resident of Tokyo with much exposure to the apartments that everyday citizens live in, I truly wanted to love this property. Style was authentically on point, location was ideal, etc. Unfortunately, the smell coming from the shower room was so overwhelming that all three of us could not breathe, even with all windows open. We reached out to VRBO customer service immediately upon check in to arrange for booking cancellation. The owner was gracious enough to provide a full refund, which we appreciated tremendously. Luckily, our modest hotel that book-ended this week long reservation had available rooms for us to go back to. It tripled our accommodation cost for our trip, but given the thousands of dollars the 3 of us had spent on airline tickets, it was worth it to bring this unfortunate experience to a close so we could go back to enjoying our trip. Such a shame…Tokyo was absolutely wonderful outside of this accommodation issue. Remediation work in the shower room would make this accommodation a pleasant experience for future travelers. Wishing everyone well…

Good, but smelly

Had a couple issues getting the key as the host had recently changed from an electronic lock to physical key and hadn’t updated their check in pdf with new photos. The quality of the apartment was good, on par with what we had expected, but there was a really bad smell that we couldn’t get rid of in the entrance/kitchen area. Additionally, the place was further from Shinjuku station than we had anticipated, but it was still walkable.

Nishi-Shinjuku

Further than Shinjuku station than we thought. however, easy access to Tokyo Metropolitan building. Area surrounding apartment had a lot of garbage strewn about. Exterior not very clean. Did not like clutter in apartment and did not like having to sit on floor all week.

Quiet and comfortable in a good location

The apartment is very cozy, the neighborhood is quiet with lots of stores and restaurants. It's a short walk to the station so you're close to busy parts of Shinjuku and connections to the rest of Toyko. Its a one room apartment fine for two but I think three people would be cramped. Appliances were all good and worked fine. Beds are comfortable. The shower is great. Host was prompt answering questions and check in was very easy. I stayed here for 28 days and would happily do it again.
