What a great stay. The host was great, very helpful. The house truly was in walking distance to the beach, pleasure pier and several places to eat. We couldn't have found a more perfect place for our family to stay, especially for the price.

Overall it was a decent place, upon arriving we had to sweep up some food and dead bugs throughout the house. We fought with flies throughout the entire stay, had to sweep the up every couple of hours.

Nice roomy place in a good spot next to the beach. Was nice and clean. AC screen was broken so could not tell the temperature. Downside was the entrance was through a long driveway where someone parked a truck and trailer for over a day that made it hard to go in and out (had to squeeze through). Lots of noise and honking early in the morning from them too. But the place itself was great!

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE. It is not clean, the pics are deceptive. There were bugs, and everything about it is dated. There are no lamps and few outlets that are accessible. There are no bedside tables for your phone, glasses, etc. The kitchen is poorly stocked, the sheets are gross and old and I suspect were not changed between guests. It’s clear that guest experience is last on their list. It’s also not clear in the listing but this is one of 4 units all sharing a small outdoor space. But there isn’t any good sitting area outside anyway. At my time of booking it wasn’t even priced better than newer listings. The living room having enough seating was why I booked and that part was true but the couches have taken such a beating over the years that are just gross now. So once again, DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!

Family vacation

Overall the properly was as described. After emailing the contact about some issues like ( not enough toilet paper towels, no sheets for the sofa bed we were a little disappointed. Also we did see and catch a mouse. We loved the location.

Very nice place

Very nice! Kind of deceiving on the actual size - way bigger than you think. Two things - kitchen sink water pressure was really low through faucet. Someone threw an old couch out on the curb which blocked a parking space. Over all great place. Would stay here again.

Cute place. Great ac for such a hot time. Plenty of space. Only complaint is lack of cookware. I've never had to buy cookware. Maybe provide more or at least let the guests be aware before hand. Otherwise we loved it!

This house was poorly stocked. We had to go to Walmart for blankets and a bowl to cook with. There were homeless people sleeping in the driveway. The door keypad worked about 50% of the time. Beds were super uncomfortable and hard/squeaky. I messaged the host for blankets, no response. The blinds were ratty and some didn’t close. We were there 4 days with 7 people and had 6 towels and 6 washcloths. Back to Walmart to buy towels and washcloths. Highly recommend not staying here!!!!!

AC works great!

The house has a funny layout & the living room to enter is in the back of the house. So trying to enter at 3:30am when the keypad is in the back of the house was very difficult. And no porch lights worked in the house. The king size bed was comfortable, but the queen was hard. We did not use any appliances so unknown if/how they worked. The AC worked great & it was a very comfortable temperature in the house.

Not as decribed with bugs

Fridge did not work, bug baits and raid cans were everywhere, ants got into all our food, no linens for beds, no outdoor furniture/seating as seen on ad, i would NOT stay hrre here. on dustpan

We took this seriously and followed up with the homeowner, who wanted to address the following:- Ants can sometimes be an issue during hot weather in Texas, especially if food is left out. We had an exterminator treat the property less than two weeks before your stay, and they also placed bait stations around the home as part of the process. We have had no issues or other complaints about ants- When you reached out to us about the linens, we did show you where the linens were for the living room couch, and we apologize if there was any confusion- We recently removed the outdoor furniture based on feedback from previous guests, and we're in the process of replacing it to improve the outdoor space- We understand you had concerns about the fridge, but it was functioning by the time we followed up with you that evening. The fridge is fully functionalWe strive to provide a comfortable stay for all our guests and are addressing these concerns to ensure future guests have a better experience. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!

Spacious in a great location but needs some cleaning

Loved the layout of the place and the location near Pleasure Pier.The house was nicely furnished but could have used a good thorough cleaning. It's the simple details that can make all the difference in my opinion. Obvious dead bugs and dirt around floor boards and in cupboards and drawers, should be taken care of. Floors mopped and windows/blinds cleaned once in a while.Noticed an issue with the kitchen faucet water pressure right away and notified the contact who was quick to respond. We lived with it that way through our stay though. You had to turn all of the faucets on to get hot water where you needed it.

Great Location/ NOT Clean

This property has a great location. However it is not clean. It feels like it was purchased and very little put into it to make it a nice place to stay. All of the dishes in the kitchen were dirty. The skillet was so dirty I went to walmart and bought my own skillet because I didn't feel safe cooking in the one in the house. There were dead flies in the kitchen cabinets, the silverware drawers was full of dirt, and the dishwasher did not even have the water turned on to be able to use. The room with the portable AC the exhaust was not installed properly and kept coming detached. There were only 4 chairs for an 8 person stay, there were no pillowcases for the extra pillows, and no blanket for the pull out bed (these were provided when we asked, but we should not have had to ask for these things) When I tried to speak to the company about the condition of the property they did not seem concerned about the condition of the property. This house just needs some more love...it has great potential but the money has not been spent to make this rental a good rental.

There were a couple of roaches on the floor, the fridge started leaking water all over and the host said just to use towels and they would bring more (they never brought more). The back room only had a portable AC. The AC filter was EXTREMELY dirty. The first room was the hottest. No extra blankets or pillows provided for pull out beds. I would not book again!!!
