A couple of my buddies and I played golf near by and chose the BM Beach Resort for an overnight. The room was clean and very quiet. The check in was seamless and the hospitality excellent. I will stay here again the next time I visit RAK.

Just OK

We had to change rooms because the one they gave us originally had a leaking AC and was not in good condition. The hotel is not great but the beach is ok and the food & beverage were good.

all inclusive

I had all inclusive....price is very good.......for the money choice of house beverages is ok....for the drinks all inclusive starts at 10 am and finishes at 11 pm....food is average....staff is pleasant and friendly, however at the front desk "they go according to the book"....if you are booking online make sure you select exact number of people staying with you, otherwise you will be charged for extra person ....there is no activities on the ground, except some private parties in different rooms followed by loud music till 5 in the morning.....the majority of guests are Arabs, there were some old German tourists around....there were some families with kids and as usual, husband is staring at different bikini type while his wife completely dressed pretends to swim with kids in the kids pool with constant yelling at the kids....main attraction is big swimming pool with a bar where everyone is drinking.....water in the pool is hot, so people get drunk very quickly...I noticed unpleasant fact, everyone is drinking large quantity of drinks, however no one visits the toilets (sorry to tell you that)...., beach part is huge, however sea is full of unpleasant sea grass that no one is taking care of, so swimming in the sea would not be wise choice..i would suggest to families and those people who are not into drinking and party to go somewhere else...couples and young people this is place for you.....

Third world accommodations at best!

The location that is associated with this property on the Expedia website is WRONG! You end up at a Bate's Motel wannabe, which once I went inside to find out I was at the wrong hotel. I breathe a sigh of relief. I drove another 20km to the correct property which does not look anything like the photo's posted on the expedia. I checked in only to find that my room was infested with everything that could crawl or fly was present for duty. I went to the front desk to inform them of the bugs and they sent a guy who killed an ant with his hand. He had no pesticide. I asked for a full refund my wife and I were not going to stay on the property. I was offered another room that, was shown that was in the same condition. It took me 40 minutes of phone calls to get my funds back and as luck would have it Expedia was having some technical difficulty at the exact time I called to get them involved.

Beachfront Oasis

Stayed in the cabana area, lovely garden. Wonderful beach. Generally peaceful and clean. The facilities are a bit dated and feeling their years, but fine - it's all we needed. Didn't eat at the restaurant, so no opinion on that. Small fridge - none of the rooms has cooking facilities. Lovely pool. I would come back.

Nice and affordable get-away!

We had a cabana room, with a patio that was as close to the beach as you can get. Although the hotel is older and a bit tired, our room was comfortable and clean. My only concern in the cabana was the bathroom...it was clean enough, I guess, but it was a bit worn out and could some attention. The staff were awesome, very accommodating and friendly. The room service menu offered a variety of options and the food we ordered was delicious, sensibly priced, with generous portions. We didn't care for the quality and selection at the breakfast buffet.

Cheap enough for me to book again.

The resort definitely shows its age but still gets the job done. The beach has grass growing about 30 yards into the water and has a dirty side where everything kinda washes up. Old people. Old mostly naked people. One old topless lady. I didn't know that was an option and no one stopped her. My family and I didn't need to see that and I wish there was more control over the dress code.

A worn down resort in the middle of nowhere

The Bin Majid Beach Resort in Ras Al Khaima is a worn down resort in the middle of nowhere. Everything about this place is mediocre and I wonder where the four stars rating comes from. I booked this hotel for a weekend get-away (from Dubai) using my Hotels.com bonus nights. I'm glad I didn't pay the full prize!

Fair price for the services

Hotel is nice, but not really how the photos tell. Not so quite at night at the pool as night club sounds can be easily heard. The bathroom is small and shower water will leak causing the ground to be more dirty. Finally, Wifi is very expensive for such hotel (AED 20 per Hour / AED 80 Day pass). Those were the disadvantages Other than that the ambient is nice, food is fine. Room is well organized and vast, pool is Extra clean, nice beach, available parkings, many options, quick check in/out

Great beach with palm tree and 2 large pool

Definitely a business hotel with no internet access only at the lobby and very expensive AED 80 for a day. Otherwise for leisure it has a great beach one of the best one I have seen with water sport. Food is good and nice restaurant and bars.

Basic Hotel, Average and Normal

The hotel was fine, it is not as what was indicated here as 4 stars, i beleive it is 3 stars. the rooms are basic, very normal, i beleive it is an old hotel and not catching up with the updates, but in general it is fair compare with the price, if you want to pay more then you need to move somewheer else. Please note that there are two hotels called Bin Majed, one newr the city and it is a traditional hotel, and the other one is the resort which is some how far from RAK city. The hotel price is attractive, the breakfast was included, breakfast was fair but the resturant and dinning area some how old, they have free parking, the beach is nice, you can see the major projects across the beach, the room was basic, beds were basic and dont expect too much of confort, but it is fair, we used the lundrey and it was fine, check out was very fast, check in very slow because hotel was fully booked. Keep in mind that you need to drive to city, if you are staying in the resort it self then it is ok to enjot the nice and clear sand beach

Beautiful and relaxing stay

The resort is very accessible, at least from the south, with directional signs as soon as you enter Ras al Khaimah. The room was very nice, but the bathroom was quite small with only a shower; also, the toilet had some flushing issues. The setting is very pretty and relaxing, and the pool is lovely. Beach access is quite easy, and the beach is beautiful, though not on open water. There is quite a bit of construction taking place across the bay, which eventually will detract from the resort's feeling of seclusion. Room service is 24-hours, and is both reasonable and excellent. The breakfast buffet is well presented but relatively tasteless. The coffee shop is exactly that: they don't know how to make anything but coffee or tea, so stick with the restaurant. Customer service was excellent; they accommodated our every request, and we had quite a few "extras" to ask for--everything from an additional bed and extra linens to a particular kind of phone charger. This was just one night in a week of vacation, but it is a lovely place, and I definitely would consider returning there.
