  • Good base for exploring the Olympic Peninsula

"We stayed just one night in this cozy cottage with our son and daughter-in-law. It served us very well as a place to settle in between 2 days of hiking in Olympic National Park. Found a grocery store and restaurant nearby. Kitchen had all we needed to fix meals. View was nice and the local deer were in the yard to greet us on arrival. Would stay there again for sure."

  • One of the most beautiful places we have ever been

"Surroundings: Incredible. The cottage is on a clear teal lake with mountains surrounding it and reflecting into the water. Truly gorgeous with a great view from the top deck, table and chairs half-way down, and the dock. We enjoyed the kayak and took it around the whole lake (1.5-2 hours). It was fun to check out the other homes on the lake while kayaking as they are very unique. Very cool spot! Location: Great for visiting Olympic National Park. Not far from the Hoh Rain forest, Hurricane Ridge, Crescent Lake, and other hot spots that we planned to visit. There's a small general store nearby that was pretty limited and there are normal/large grocery stores in Port Angeles fairly close. The cottage: Comfortable bed, full kitchen, grill (which we used 3 times while there, nice to have), tv/internet, lots of outdoor seating (as above). Very comfy and couldn't have asked for much more. I think others already mentioned the water pressure in the kitchen sink is weak, also the burn ban was unfortunate as we could not have a fire outside in the summer per the fire department. We had no problems so did not need to contact Tammy while we were there. Her instructions for finding it and getting in were clear. Overall: Five stars all the way! Enjoy your stay at Lake Sutherland :)"

  • Weekend Getaway

"Booked a long weekend in February and had a great time! Hot tub was perfect after snowshoeing Hurricane Ridge, very close to trails and sightseeing at Lake Crescent. House was spacious and clean, would definitely recommend to friends!"

  • Great Way to Spend a Fall Weekend!

"This place is perfect for 4 people. It is spacious and the beach walks are the best! We were able to bring our boxer Lola and now she is mad that we brought her back to the city (Sorry Lo). Can't wait to book our next trip for a hot summer stay. ***Only Thing Missing*** With the amazing windows that this place has and the views, do yourself the favor and throw in a pair of binoculars! Tons of sea fun!!! We will be back...Thanks for letting us enjoy your home!"
