  • Wonderful place to stay!

"Candlelight Cabin was a wonderful place to stay! We had 4 adults so the 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms were perfect and gave everyone their privacy. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay - towels, linens, blankets and the kitchen was stocked with all of the gadgets we needed. We also appreciated the garage to park our car. The view from the large windows and deck was so beautiful and relaxing - definitely the best part! We were pleased to find a grocery store right down the street and it was the perfect distance from "downtown" Port Angeles, where we spent most of our time. I would definitely recommend Candlelight Cabin to anyone traveling to the area and hopefully when we make a return trip this house will be available again!"

  • lovely stay!

"hey hello! we really enjoyed our stay in paul and susans home, close to the park, cozy and comfortable. we arrived on a terribly stormy night and so appreciated paul 's checking in with us as we drove from tacoma to make sure we had good directions, knew where to buy groceries and his suggestion that we pick up water in case the power went out. it didnt, but the weather was pretty rotten our entire stay - so it was wonderful that the interior space of the house was comfortable and cozy as we were pretty much house bound. we had a fire going the entire time, and loved that there was plenty of wood cut and stacked for us. the kitchen was super well equipped so cooking meals was easy and fun and our bed was spacious, with plenty of warm covers and cotton sheets. everything was super clean, skads of wonderful white towels, and worked well, tho the tv/vcr was antiquated and not worth watching. we didnt mind tho; we played our instruments instead and watched the swaying of the douglas firs just outside the windows! lovely visit. we never even went upstairs except when we first arrived - so much more room than we needed and both the rooms on the second floor had good beds and were nice spaces. so if your numbers are greater than 2 - rest assured that everyone will get a good nights sleep! thanks for everything paul!"

  • Great Thanksgiving!

"We had a wonderful time at the lake house over the Thanksgiving holiday of this year. The house is wonderful: clean, comfortable, and incredibly picturesque. Mark and Natalie are excellent hosts, quick to answer any questions and helpful with travel suggestions. My husband was recently injured and is now in a power wheelchair. The house was easy to navigate in and out of in a wheelchair. Although the upstairs shower is not "roll-in" per say, it is a large walk-in shower that would likely fit a smaller-sized commode chair once over the lip into it. We had a great time walking around Lake Crescent on the hard-packed trail which was handicap accessible. The views were spectacular and only about 10 minutes away from the house. I would highly recommend this to family and friends and look forward to visiting again some day!"
