  • Beautiful, Clean, Quiet wonderful retreat home

"We had a special event in the area and couldn't accommodate all the out of town family coming in. Being raised in Port Angeles I knew this lake well. We had super fast response time and were thrilled with the amazing decor and thoughtfulness of the amenities provided by the owner. They were very gracious and easy to work with. Highly recommend. But would love to keep this my little secret as I fear it will be hard to book in the future because it is just that great. Thanks Horst's for an amazing weekend full of family time. The best."

  • The Standard By Which All Future VRBO's Will Be Measured

"This place is fabulous! My husband and I stayed for 5 wonderful nights. The quietude, the steam sauna, the hot tub, the bamboo & tile floors, the comfortable bed, the well-stocked kitchen, the books on the bookshelf, the satellite TV all added up to the best experience imaginable for me in a VRBO. We felt so relaxed after hiking in the national park. The location is very convenient to the park visitor center, Hurricane Ridge, Lake Angeles, as well as the amenities of the town of Port Angeles. We could get or do anything we wanted very easily. Our vacation was pretty lengthy, and we stayed at other places so that we could see different areas of the huge national park. We were completely spoiled after staying at Mo & Brian's place. Nothing else was good enough! She is a joy to conduct business with, too, and that made it even nicer."

  • Absolutely perfect!

"This place is so much more beautiful and peaceful than pictures could ever do it justice. It was the perfect getaway for my husband and I who were visiting family in Seattle and wanted a couple days away together to explore Olympic National Park for my birthday. The house itself has everything you could need and feels so cozy and peaceful. The views right from your livingroom or front door are out of this world -- it made it hard to want to leave. Mikey the dog was an old gentle soul who became our pal while we were there -- he mostly kept to the main house but we would call for him whenever we saw him and he was happy to hang out with us so we could smother him with hugs. We loved coming home after hiking all day to enjoy a fire outside and gaze up at the stars. Location-wise, this house is perfect for exploring the park, while being just up a winding mountain road from the main town of Port Angeles with everything you could need in terms of restaurants, groceries, etc. We got in later on Sunday so went into town to get some drinks and dinner at NextDoor pub and they had live music that was perfect. We were able to wake up early the next day and drive just a couple hours over to see Ruby Beach at low tide, the Ho Rain Forest trails including the Hall of Mosses, and finish off the day with dinner and drinks at Crescent Lake Lodge. It was the perfect itinerary and we still got home early enough to hang out at the house by the fire. Our final morning we drove up to do the Hurricane Ridge Trail, which is really close to the house (the views look right at it) and it was the most breathtaking hike of our lives. For those who feel like sticking close to home, it sounds like there are also some amazing hikes right on the property that we didn't have time to check out. Everyone was friendly and helpful and we really loved staying here -- it was nourishing to the soul. Would highly recommend it to either a family or a couple looking for a romantic and peaceful getaway. Hope we can come back someday!"
