All good, except for electricals.

The bedroom light had flickered and even went out for a short period at one time. However, front desk told me that the maintenance team couldnt find antthing wrong, whereas, there was a note in my room that claims maintenance team couldnt enter the room because i had out the DND tag on my door knob (we had arranged via phone the night before for maintenance team to come in while i was away from room). Not sure what the miscommunication here was about. Anyway, I believe there is an issue with the electricals cos there is this constant spark sound going off from the false ceiling the entire night, keeping me awake.

The room is very spacious, with a sofa, dinning area, and a kitchen area with comprehensive amenities. There is also a full size fridge. The toilet has washing machine and dryer. However, the cleaning team needs more upskilling. I stayed 6 nights and there was only one express cleaning (no changing of bedsheets) in the middle of my stay. This was not communicated to me prior to my stay, but I am fine with the arrangement. However, upon returning to my room after it was cleaned, I opened my room door to be greeted by one big lump (about size of fist) of dirt on the floor. The dustbin in the toilet was emptied, but the inner bin was left outside of the outer container and both items were left in the middle of the toilet. The coffee and tea bags were also not refilled.

The hotel is conveniently located within the CBD. However it is ocated a the bottom of a slope. Might not be extremely walkable for people with weak knees. We took public transports and going up the slope each morning was a bummer to start the day.. I liked the smart lift. It is fast, efficient and secure. However, I had noticed several people struggling with it, as they have no idea where to tap the keycard. Would be nice to add a label to create a better first impression. The rooms are clean and big. Nice and pleasant. The shower could have been better. It was hard to control the water temperature. The water flow isn’t as good as what I would expect from hotels. It feels more like instant heaters which you have at home. Water drainage is slow and a puddle of water tends to form half way during shower. Too little hooks in the bathroom as well. I wished the hotel had told us about darling harbour fireworks, which occured on selected weekends. It is about 5mins walk from the hotel and we missed it. We only knew about it when we heard it from from our room. It was too late by then. I am glad we took the shuttle from the hotel to the airport. It is only slightly more expensive than the airport train, and much cheaper than a taxi.

Very well equipped suite in a good location in Sydney CBD near Darling Harbor & Chinatown. Ideal for leisure or business trip with longer stay of more than 3 days. Got a good deal too via Hotels.com

Location – 3 streets from Town Hall Station (walking downhill when you are coming from Station but uphill when going to Station). Hotel staff told me a shortcut – walk to Town Hall Building (one street from Hotel) and take escalator or lift (from Office building) to second level and walk through mall to connect with Town Hall Station. At nearby QVB (Queen Victoria Building), you can take light rail or buses. Eateries at Town Hall Station and The Galleries (including Black Star Pastry!) Room is spacious. Was great to be able to use washing machine and laundry rack (latter available on request) – clean clothes throughout trip. Lovely to soak in jacuzzi at end of day

Impersonal & cleaning not great

Rather impersonal, staff seemed disengaged and were not very helpful when asked for advice. Not the cleanest, cigarette burns and stain on the duvet. Balcony area needed a deep clean. Given one towel each for a 5 night stay. Located on top floor by the plant room so exceptionally hot when you came out of the elevator.

The property is in a great location. It’s very secure. You have to scan your room key to access the lift and can only go to your floor. The apartment is lovely and has everything you need. You can call reception for anything extra that you want

The room itself was spacious and the location is fantastic! The only downside was that we didn’t have any housekeeping for any of our stay despite the hotel ringing to arrange a time halfway through. We also had to ask multiple times for fresh towels. For the price, I would have expected a quick refresh in the time we stayed. A positive is that the restaurants next to the harbour were lovely and all within 10 mins walking distance.
