Red Gunger at Caribe Island

It is a perfect one bedroom condo that is located right on the water and next to the swimming pool. This was our second time staying in that condo because we liked it that much.

Excellent views in a great area

We really enjoyed this location a little further outside of time, taking the golf cart here was simple and relaxing to get away from the busier areas of town. The views of the water were amazing and being able to sit on the porch and soak them in was the best part.

Recommended!

Other than the property being far away from town, there's nothing to complain about! Even then, while at first we didn't like being away from town, we grew to appreciate it. The bed was comfortable, everything worked, the property was gorgeous, the pool was awesome! We will be back!

The best view at Caribe Island!

The Red Ginger condo is the perfect getaway condo. Spacious, well decorated, and every kitchen amenity you would need. The view of the beach from the front porch is unbeatable. I was there with a group of friends (staying in different condos) and everyone came to gather on my porch for morning coffee and evening cocktails! The grounds are well maintained and the pool is great. I highly recommend this condo for your stay

Great Stay at Caribe Island Condos

Overall, a great vacation, Caribe Island Condos is a very well maintained clean tidy and quiet location away from the busy downtown San Pedro area. It is a bit far from the downtown area but not far if you have a golf cart. Our unit was well maintained and good location. The unit could use some kitchen appliance updates (frying pans, casserole dishes) but that is about all.

Ugh

We rented this through VRBO for 10 nights. We were informed by a resident upon arrival that they would be ripping down the seawall. Next morning we woke up to jackhammering. We expressed our frustration to Vacasa. They said they would move us to a different property (not oceanfront which is specifically why we booked this place) or we could stay for free on jackhammer days. It continued all day from Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. For the next seven days, there was construction noises (circular saws, pumps, hammers, etc) all day everyday including the weekend. After going back and forth with multiple Vacasa people for a week, we FINALLY got what we were told (well they say it's processing, we'll see). Prior we were told that it's not their fault they didn't know. As a property management company, I strongly disagree. It's not my job to know what's going on at the property and if we'd know what we would experience, we never would have booked the place. We thought it was going to be jack hammering that would be it. We didn't realize it was going to continue for the next week. Then we didn't realize we'd have to fight so hard to get back what we were told at the beginning. We paid a lot of money to stay there. We are really disappointed and frustrated with our stay. Not only was the construction an issue but so was trying to find the key upon arrival, all the drinking water being gone and having to immediately go get a new bottle, and the ants that are all over the kitchen.

San Pedro Island Vacation

First Time to Belize. Our stay at Vacasa was delightful. The condo was clean adequately furnished. The wifi network was good. The pool was kept clean. The grounds were beautiful. There was only about 2 gallons of purified water furnished wen it was supposed to be 5 gallons. Soaps and shampoos were sparce. The condo does need minor repair and updating. Only the deadbolt worked to lock the door, the other lock did not. The keylock box was very hard to open and close. We definitely would stay there again.

Local staff does provide a 5-gallon container of water for each reservation, but it looks like less because a couple gallons flood into the dispenser portion. Best place I've ever stayed!!

This stay is absolutely incredible, I cannot say enough good things! Right on the beach with a dock that you can use to get into the water, onsite pool and beach games/chairs, a little food mart right on the corner for light grocery needs, and very friendly other visitors. As for the amenities inside - full stocked kitchen of appliances and pots/pans, bathroom towels and beach towels and games. It's so cozy and clean, the AC worked great and we felt very safe being two young girls traveling alone. It's a little off the main street but a very easy golf cart drive into the main hub of town, we liked the local and quiet feel of it. It would be a lot of walking without the golf cart so we felt the cart was necessary. A handful of close restaurants too so you don't need to go into town each time. Safe, clean, cute, all around perfect!!

Beautiful Beach Escape

The ground floor condo's front door goes straight to the beach and right out to the dock. There is a pool and bungalow off the right, giving you a perfect view of the ocean from the front porch with easy access to fresh water swimming. The porch offered an unobstructed, quiet view of the ocean and was the perfect place to lounge all day. The Vacasa concierge, Ana, was amazing! She helped us coordinate the golf cart rental, snorkeling, massages, and gave us other recommendations for around the island. Would stay here again and highly recommend booking a stay through Vacasa and Ana's team, they were incredibly helpful throughout our whole trip.

Beautiful view!

We loved our stay in this condo! Great spot, great view, and clean! Ana was wonderful and very helpful. I think the only thing we’d say was a con, was it could use more hooks, but that’s a small thing. We loved our stay! Book it!

Wonderful, quiet seaside resort. Staff was friendly and accommodating . Villa was clean, comfortable and located in easy distance of the major attractions of the island. Highly recommend!!!!

Beautiful property - well taken care of and friendly staff!

Even though this is on the south side of the island, it's a beautiful resort with well kept rooms and a nice outdoor space. Everything is well groomed and clean - it's just a little off the beaten path and there's not much really close by so if you're looking for that convenience - there is a little store at the corner and one restaurant that's good down the block but otherwsie you have to drive into town. I highly recommend renting a golf cart to get around. And Ana, their concierge, is a great resource!

That's three point five out of five.

Great location, great view. Couldn't live there full time, as there was no closet space, but for vacation, it was fine. We were here to scope out a possible real estate purchase. There is still an 8 pm curfew in all of Belize. The first day we arrived late, and hunkered down with streaming Netflix to check out our WiFi connection. It worked great. Day 2, we tried to check out some listings in the morning, but found the internet was out. We had heard it could be spotty at times all over the island. We met friends for lunch, discovered that they had no internet interruptions, We returned home after, and ours was still out. (yes, we unplugged, rebooted the router, all to no avail.) So, we went exploring around the condo on foot because we liked the area so much. We found lots of "for sale" signs, taking photos of the property and the listing agent so we could check out amenities, photos, and prices online. Then we returned to the condo after supper. We had eaten at a place with wifi, so we utilized the restaurant WiFi to send a message to our hostess at the condo that we were having problems. She said she would talk to someone to fix it in the morning. By the time we got home, it was up and running already! We sent a message to our hostess, said it was a false alarm, and she cancelled the service call. From 8-8:30pm, we looked up some listings to see what all was available, hoping to drive by over the next three days. Then the connection was lost for the rest of the 6days. We couldn't contact our hostess because we didn't have an internet connection. Our phones were locked to other SIM cards through our provider. We didn't have even roaming capability--no signal. The Digi-store suggested we buy their $250 phone and treat it like a disposable smart phone. We just couldn't justify that $$ when the internet might be up that night. When we ran into an acquaintance, we told him we were trying to get hold of our hostess, and he contacted her. She couldn't get through to us until day5 when we had wifi at another restaurant. She tried to get someone over to address it, but they couldn't come until day 6. The morning, we moved on to Hopkins/Placencia and had great WiFi reception to look online. We found our best fit, tho, was back on Ambergris Caye with three different properties that, thru their listings, we could get an idea of features, inside appearance and prices. But our trip wasn't going to take us back to Ambergris Caye to see the properties firsthand. We are now going to leave a day early from Hopkins, forfeiting a $200 a night prepayment home rental, drive back to Belize City, forfeiting a $50/day prepaid rental car and insurance, get two extra round trip water-taxi rides ($120) to Ambergris Caye, spend another $100 on a room (Brahma Blue has great prices) to see the three properties firsthand. Guess we should have spent the $250 on a throwaway smart phone for four days. BTW, roads to the last mile of the condo from San Pedro on the first three days were atrocious--potholes filled with water of unknown depth sometimes appeared impassable, except no telltale stranded carts were seen. Use the Caye Caulker motto: GO SLOW! They regrated them on day 3, and were much better.

Perfect laid back spot on the beach.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!

This condo was perfect for our stay on Ambergris Caye, Belize. Excellent location a few miles south of San Pedro, not a far drive at all by golf cart, in fact my husband and i really enjoyed our drives into town. The small grocery store at the top of the road has the basics you will need and there are multiple restaurants close by. We enjoyed breakfast at "someplace" they have the best Island mimosas, and it is within walking distance! We even had visitors like the iguana that liked the tree outside our bedroom window and another fat lizard that greeted us on the beach every morning. Sylvia and Rosemary were fantastic and took care of everything we needed, including golf cart rental, airport and water taxi pickup! The condo itself was clean, cool and had everything we required for a great stay. This condo is steps to the beach, has a fabulous pier and the pool is practically at your doorstep. We enjoyed our stay so much we plan to return to this same condo in the future!

Good time!

We spent a week and had a good time. The room was clean and steps from the dock. We were met at the airport as expected and the golf cart was dropped off the same day. We didn't spend much time at the condos because there is not much of a beach and it was the slow time, so not many people around. From the pictures it looks like there is a bar/restaurant at the end of the pool, but it was vacant all week. Be prepared to drive the cart quite a bit as this place is south of town. Secret Beach will take you about 45 minutes to get to. Every restaurant we visited had great food.

Beautiful!

The location right on the beach and the view of the water was amazing! The unit was clean and cute and the bed was very comfortable!
