1 Bedroom with private pool and spectacular view

Perched into the hill 150ft above Rendezvous Bay, our property has one of the best views on St. John despite being only a quick, easy 4 minute drive from Starfish in town.

This listing is for a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom unit adjacent to a massive private infinity pool with hot tub. There is no formal kitchen or living room. This is all about outdoor living and this setup typically appeals to younger couples.

It is part of a 5 bedroom rental which we rent out as a smaller unit during shoulder season and for last minute openings or when we need a break from the stress of large groups (the other 4 bedrooms on main level above it will remain locked and empty).

You will be the only guests and have the pool and hot tub area to yourselves. The unit is mostly solar powered with battery backup so you do not have to worry about power outages.

The pool BBQ area sitting area with firepit, 2 fridges and ice maker is on the Western side of pool and under the main level and will be your outdoor living room. It is sheltered from the elements - you will be comfortably cool out of the sun and out of the wind. Even during strong thunderstorms where can rain sideways here you will stay dry (unlike some gazebos style sitting areas).

For cold nights or a late night swim, the gas firepit will keep you warm and cozy. There’s a large powerful apple hifi speaker that can be used via Bluetooth or slim 3.5mm audio cable.

There are large decks on both sides of the pool (15x15ft and 30x15ft), the left hand side has a platform that can be used for napping or yoga, the right hand side is an expansive deck with chaise lounges. It also features a covered wet bar/honor bar, blender and coffee maker.

The pool is facing east, taking maximum advantage of view and trade winds. The sunrises are spectacular and you can catch a glimpse of the sunset from the Southern end of the deck.

The bedroom has a king bed, inverter window AC, a small love seat, a 40" Roku TV with apple tv and a large walk in wardrobe.

High speed fiberoptic internet that stays on when the power is out and satellite internet as backup in case there is a fiberoptic outage.

The bedroom has a large slider to the pool, a window towards the bbq area and a door with screen door towards the bathroom area. If you leave the window and door open you will have a nice gentle cross breeze flowing over your bed or of the full ocean breeze you can leave the slider open. To get to the bathroom from the bedroom you have to walk 5 feet and one step down (covered).

Our property almost always has nice breeze that keeps you cool and the mosquitos away. You can normally sit outside without bug spray and no mosquitos or no see ums bothering you except on the odd day with no wind (maybe 10-20 days per year).

There is an honor bar by the pool with a wide selection of liquor (which can be put away upon request if you prefer a no alcohol vacation). There is a reverse osmosis under sink drinking water filter as well as a water cooler with 5 gallon jugs of drinking water so no need to buy water bottles.

There is no full size kitchen so this is more suited for couples/singles that eat out or just want to fix a breakfast and a basic meal or BBQ. There is a coffee maker, toaster, air fryer, bbq, hot plate, 2 fridges, ice maker and blender as well as a gas powered pizza oven but no full size stove, oven or dishwasher.

There is no washer/dryer on the pool level, but free laundry service is available (place your clothes in provided bag with washing instruction and they will be back washed and folded within 24hrs). Different from low lying properties where everything is always moist and soggy and nothing ever dries a dryer is usually not needed as if you hang something over the pool railing it will be dry in 10-20minutes.

Our driveway is flat with easy turn around and no stairs to get to property from parking.

There are Yoga mats, dumbbells, resistance bands. A cold plunge with chiller is available upon request as are paddleboards, surfboards and snorkel gear.

Owners live on the same property with a separate entrance up the hill. We have our own pool and hot tub up there facing the opposite direction (south and west). Privacy is very important to us, we will not hear or see what is going on in the guest unit and you will normally not see us unless I am watering the plants in the front yard when you get back from beach. We can normally respond faster to issues and questions compared to villa management services that have many properties in their portfolio and a long drive to get to them. For longer stays we can also bring additional Kitchen items down as needed.

3 indoor/outdoor cats live on property. They are not allowed inside the guest unit but may venture into the outdoor spaces.

We will consider couples with a baby/toddler and pack n play but when I add that to max occupancy the listing says sleeps 3 which is misleading.
