A wonderful villa. Definitely need a car to access from street and to get around.Lovely host and definitely do the cooking class at the estate it was fantastic

Beautiful Italian farmhouse, lots of attention to detail for style and comfort. Two train stations and local shops, cafes, restaurants, banks etc. for all supplies within 15 minutes walk. No car needed and private countryside location. Lovely outdoor pool with shaded loungers. Excellent Italian cooking school a few minutes walk.

We loved this old Italian villa! The beds were comfortable, the place is beautiful with a beautiful view, and the pool was a welcome reprieve on hot days. Meghan was great and helpful. There was Jasmine blooming all over and it smelled heavily! It is pretty close to everything in the village and in Florence but you absolutely need a car for the extremely long, very steep driveway. Taxis are not really available in the area.

Fantastic Stay

We had a lovely stay at Lastra a Signa. The house was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The pool was all lovely to relax in with the hot weather. Meaghan was a great host throughout our stay and organised a chef for us one evening which was superb.

Quiet Villa

Great property with lots of room. Pool was great, kids had a fabulous time. Manager and owner were welcoming and answered any questions.

Good time

We had a great time. Access to many great towns and cities. Good food shopping and pool was excellent. Nice view from house on the hill. Owner was very responsive.

Great time!

Fantastic view. Beautiful facility. Wonderful, fantastic, marvelous host. Great pool. Recommend having transportation do to the long, steep driveway.

Perfect Tuscan Family Vacation

Loved the location. Plenty of privacy, but only about a half mile from town and about a mile from the train station. Meaghan was very attentive to all our needs. Plenty of room for 9 people. Take the cooking class, it was lots of fun.

Fun family holiday

It’s a great location and space for a family. We had 8 adults and 2 kids and enough space for all. It wasn’t very kid friendly as there are lots of stairs in the house and the small single room used by the children was next to a very high wooden staircase. Pool is lovely but surrounded by grass so spray yourself for the mosquitos. We had a lovely time away and very close to Florence, Pisa and Siena.

Regarding stairs,there is a door on the top of the stairs that can be locked so no danger for children if they are staying in the walk through room. Perfect stay for a perfect week

We were here with 6 friends and thorougly enjoyed every day at this house! The kitchen was stocked with all essentials (Salt, Olive Oil from the family of the host, etc.) and every utensil you might need to cook; the pool was nicely kept and inviting for a day of relaxing; the sourroundings were very quite and you really had your privacy - all in all a perfect stay for the perfect week with friends. The only topic worth noting would be that the house is on a hill, with a 5 minute drive to the next public road and the city - so if you wish to dine out frequently this house is not for you. We however loved our stay here and would be more than thrilled to come back!

The host, Meaghan, was very helpful and easily contactable. Five stars for her. The property itself was OK, but there were some things which, if I'd known about beforehand, would probably have made me look elsewhere. The villa is set on top of a hill, so the views are fine (although the view is mostly urban, not rolling hills). The problem is the road up to the villa is very difficult to drive up; it's steep, winding and narrow, with overhanging foliage. We ended up leaving our large people carrier about three-quarters of the way up and walking the rest. The walk from road level up to the villa is 10-15 minutes for a fit person (more if the temperature is 35!).The villas itself is quite old fashioned inside (some would call it charming I suppose), with some modern touches - e.g. recently installed a/c units (one in a bedroom was leaking water). We had plumbing (broken/blocked loo - not our fault) and electrical issues (the fuse board kept tripping so we had to reset it now and again).For a twelve-person villa, the kitchen was too small. It could have done with being situated in the larger dining area of the house.Provision of towels (including pool towels) and bed linen was good.

Only used the pool once. It was clean and very nice, except the pool furniture is in bad shape.The villa is airconditioned, but there is an extra cost for using the air conditioning. Electricity is very expensive in Europe.The kitchen cabinets need to be sorted. Too much "stuff".There are a lot of steps around the house.Overall, a very nice stay. The villa was very clean and comfortable. A lot of shampoo, hand soap and shower gel was provided, not just starter supplies.The beds were comfortable and the linens were very nice. The owner Meagan was helpful and very nice.

Definitely need a car if you have luggage

This place has a great view. To get to the view, it is a steep and narrow driveway. There are steps to every level. The impression given in the description is a reasonable walk to the train, which is true when going down the hill to the train station.It rained heavily a few days and there was soot from the range hood covering the range and counter. We needed to vacuum and wipe alot to get it reasonably usable. The pool is nice. The beds were comfortable. Overall we had an enjoyable stay.

Belle maison mais propriétaire malhonnête

La maison et la situation sont tres agréables. En revanche, nous avons des coupures d'électricité quotidiennes et eu la désagréable surprise de voir la propriétaire nous réclamer en fin de séjour plus des sommes considérables (et sans justificatif chiffré) pour frais d'électricité ! Face à notre insatisfaction et nos questions la seule réponse a été de nous dire que l'Italie ne produisait pas assez d'électricité,qu'elle était chère et que les coupures venaient de la compagnie d'électricité qui coupait le courant (ce qui était évidemment faux puisque toute la ville et nos voisins restaient éclairés).

Loved it - brilliant location

Family holiday with friends too - loved the place, great location, 4 bedrooms and a 5th on the landing if required, which we did. Lots of bedding and good sized accommodation. Easy drives to local parking in Florence and good connection to Pisa. Italy is a great place to spend time and this is a great location to do it from
