This cozy cottage is tucked away on a peaceful lane only steps away from the beach. Doral Cottage comfortably accommodates a party of 8. The home includes 3 bedrooms, two of which are master bedrooms with king beds and a queen bedroom with a set of bunk beds. Total of 2 queen sofa beds in the living room and family room. A supply of linens and towels will be included for your stay. Plenty of space to enjoy a home-cooked meal in a spacious, well-equipped kitchen or the additional dining area in the back screened porch. The property offers internet access, a charcoal grill, 3 TVs, a 2-car carport, and a washer/dryer.

Linens are provided with this unit, as well as a starter set of paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, and some personal amenity items. These items will not be replenished during your stay.

Pool Privileges provided at Holiday Inn.

Very outdated home with doors and drawers falling off, old appliances, carpets, mattresses and pillows. Front glass door wouldnā€™t close, jacuzzi didnā€™t work, many things not working properly. Make sure you bring hand soap and shampoo because the ā€œstarter setā€ they give you for up to 10 people is the size of a dime!

A week of relaxation on Jekyll

We enjoyed our week at the Doral Cottage. It was large/roomy enough for a family of 10, but just me and my husband were there. Quiet area, sounds of waves crashing, close to beach access and bike trails! Loved having coffee in the mornings on the screened porch.

Great Family Place.

If your looking for something super grand and fancy the Doral isn't for you. It has a very relaxed beachy and home-like vibe. It's hard to tell from the pictures but the house is very spacious. One master on one side and the other master and the room with the bunk beds on the other. The front sitting room plus the living room with the dining room table and eat in kitchen table. The screened in porch was a great hangout spot in the morning. Just like everywhere on Jekyll, you've got to keep an eye on high tide when you choose your best time. There is beach access at the end of the street. We will definetly be back to the Doral!

Comfortable, attractive vacation house

Doral Cottage is pleasant, with a cool mid-century look that we all appreciated. The screened-in back porch was a highlight, an excellent spot to enjoy reading, coffee, birds, and gentle rainfall. Although it's only the second house from the corner, we found it quiet and peaceful. And the location is convenient to Driftwood Beach and other points of interest. The layout and bedroom arrangement worked for us, but would not necessarily for all travelers. One bedroom has a private bath, while the master suite shares a bathroom with the bunk-bed room and anyone sleeping on one of the two sofas. This house would be ideal for an extended family, perhaps with the grandparents in the room with private bath, the middle generation in the master suite, and kids sleeping in the third bedroom. The kitchen setup worked well for us, and there were plenty of electrical outlets throughout the house. Travelers should be aware that the two bedrooms with king beds have windowed doors facing the living room, so if anyoneā€™s staying up late to read or watch TV, sleepers in those rooms may experience more light than theyā€™d prefer. Although we enjoyed this location, anyone wanting an easy walk to the beach may be disappointed, because erosion along much of the northern access points would mean wading through water even at low tide to reach a narrow beach. We found it necessary to drive or bike to get comfortably to the beach. Overall, this house is a gem, and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Great location but not kept well

Lovely home and in a great location but there are issues. Biggest one is active mold on the ceiling in the tv room. Couldnā€™t even sit in there. When paying for clean service the place should be spotless

Great location needs a little TLC

The location of the property was AWSOME and located very close to the beach. Definitely island living made easy. As for the actual property itself, itā€™s near time for some freshening upā€¦. ā€œCan you say dated?ā€ šŸ˜‰ Not bad but just needs some TLC. It was very cleanā€¦. Donā€™t forget your soap and shampoo! Itā€™s not a Premier Host provider. One last comment that needs addressing is the shower door handle. Be careful when entering and closing the door. Because of the handle and the doorframe you WILL loose some skin off your fingers!!! OUCH!!!! All in all, a very good stay at a very good location. Donā€™t be confused by my, seemingly, negative post. The place is NOT a negative. It just needs some TLCā€¦..
